  • The botanical antimicrobial agent prepared from citrus fruits (BAAC) was prepared to provide inhibitory ability to packaging paper The BAAC diluted in 0.5% and 1% starch solution respectively was applied to packaging paper by the thin coating technique. The antimicrobial packaging paper displayed great inhibitory effect against the putrefying microbes including fungi, yeast and bacteria. Tn addition to antimicrobial activity of the packaging papers, their physical properties such as tensile strength, burst strength, tear strength and bending stiffness could be improved by simultaneous treatment with starch. Both the item packaging by tissue paper and the outer packaging by corrugated boxes, which were treated by the thin coating of BAAC and starch, exhibited great ability in preserving freshness of stored mandann oranges. The more treatment of BAAC was made in the packaging paper, the greater freshness-preserving ability was generated.

  • As the performance of mobile devices has dramatically improved, users can perform many tasks in a mobile environment. This means that the use of behavior information stored in the mobile device can tell a lot of users. For example, a user's text message and frequently used application information (behavioral information) can be utilized to create useful information, such as whether the user is interested in parenting(profile prediction). In this study, I investigate the behavior information of the user that can be collected in the mobile device and propose the item that can profile the user. And I also suggest ideas about how to utilize profiling information.

  • The summed-similarity model of visual short-term recognition proposes that the estimated amount of summed similarity between remembered items and a recognition probe determines recognition judgement decision (Kahan & Sekuler, 2002). This study examined the effect of a task-irrelevant location change on the recognition decision against two remembered Gabor gratings differing in their spatial frequencies. On each trial in Experiment, participants reported if two gratings displayed across the visual fields are the same or not as the probe grating displayed after about a second of memory delay. The probe grating would be the same as or different from the memory items (lure) by 1 or 4 JND units. The location of the probe would also vary randomly across the left and right visual field with respect to the location of the corresponding memory item. The participants were instructed to perform their recognition task exclusively to the spatial frequencies of the memory items and the probe while ignoring the potential location change of the probe. The results showed that false-recognition rates of the lure probe increased as the summed similarity between the memory items and the probe increased. The rates also further increased in the condition where the probe location was different from the location of the corresponding memory item compared to the condition where the probe location was the same. The increased false-recognition rates indicate that information stored into visual short-term memory is represented as a form of well-bound visual features rather than independent features.

  • This study aims to propose an extended OAK metadata for research data that would be described in OAK, an open access repository of the National Library of Korea. As a research method, literature review, case studies, and interviews with related parties were conducted. The method of extending the existing OAK metadata for research data was derived as follows. First, in modeling for research data, the structure of the collection> item> file is maintained, the collection is placed as a higher group to which the research data can be grouped, and item was combined metadata and files or digital objects of various formats together. Second, by mapping the metadata standard and case organizations with the existing OAK metadata, elements judged to need to be extended to OAK for research data were selected and reflected in the existing OAK. Third, the controlled vocabulary and syntax are also proposed so that it can be used for search or later statistics through structured data. By expanding the OAK metadata to describe research data, research data produced in Korea can be officially stored and used, which is the basis for preventing duplication of research and sharing and recycling research results nationally.

  • In case of C-410/11, Pedro Espada $S\acute{a}nchez$ and Others v Iberia $L\acute{i}neas$ $A\acute{e}reas$ de $Espa\tilde{n}a$ SA., ECLI:EU:C:2012:747, the passengers of a flight between Barcelona and Paris, whose baggage had been lost, lodged a claim before a Spanish court, asking for compensation. More specifically, the claimants were a family of four (two adults and two children), and had stored all their personal items in two suitcases, which had been checked in and tagged but never returned to the passengers in question. The four claimants relied on the Montreal Convention, ratified by the EU, which provides that each passenger can claim up to 1,000 SDRs in compensation (i.e. ${\euro}1,100$) in case his or her baggage is lost; thus, they sought to recover ${\euro}4,400$ (4,000 SDRs, i.e. 1,000 SDRs x4). The preliminary reference issue raised by the Spanish court to the CJEU regarded the $Montr\acute{e}al$ Convention's correct interpretation; in particular, it asked whether compensation should be available only to passengers whose lost baggage had been checked in "in their own name" or whether it is also available to passengers whose personal items had been stored in the (lost) baggage of a different passenger. The CJEU held that compensation had to be granted to all passengers whose items had been lost, regardless of whether these had been stored in baggage checked in "in their own name." In fact, it maintained that the real aim of the $Montr\acute{e}al$ convention is to provide passenger-consumers with protection for the loss of their personal belongings, so the circumstance of where these were being carried is not relevant. Nevertheless, the CJEU clarified that it is for national courts to assess the evidence regarding the actual loss of an item stored in another passenger's baggage, and maintained that the fact that a group of people were travelling together as a family is a factor that may be taken into account.

  • The present study was carried out to evaluate the nutritional quality of rabbit meat protein. The composition of amino acids contained in rabbit meat was compared with those of other animal meats such as beef, pork and chicken. Also included in this study was the question whether the cooking and storage conditions affect the amino acid composition and the pepsindigestibility of rabbit meat protein. The results are summarized as follows: 1. The large variation observed from sample to sample of EAA (essential amino acid) composition in rabbit meat was found to be an interesting but peculiar property of rabbit meat protein. The most limiting amino acid of rabbit meat protein was phenylalanine, whereas methionine was the first limiting amino acid of both beef and pork proteins. Chemical scores of various meat proteins were 68, 65, 66, and 74 for rabbit meat, beef, pork, and chicken respectively. 2. In pan roasting, the EAA damaged most by heat was methionine (15%). When cooked after two months of frozen storage, lysine decreased most. 3. Higher pepsin digestibility was obtained by cooking rabbit meat after seasoned in alcohol, ginger juice, and other spices compared with various other cooking conditions without seasoning. The pepsin digestibility value was even higher for the seasoned meat than for the raw meat. 4. Among various meats tested the rabbit meat showed the lowest pepsin digestibility. 5. A simple measurement of released methionine could be used to determine relative digestibility instead of measuring $NH_2-N$ content after pepsin digestion. From all the results obtained in this study it can be concluded that rabbit meat is a good Protein food item when used fresh and stored properly to prevent rancidity problems. It is suggested to study further the peroxidation effect of unsaturated fatty acids on protein quality. This study was supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology in Korea.

  • Preservation space is a functionally$\ulcorner$core$\lrcorner$in a museum. Gernerally, it is a common view that collections are exhibited within 5% of total stored collections. So that, part of collections are cycled exhibition space centering around preservation space, and that is a important mechanism of collections circulation in a museum. It is the best way that collections should be $\ulcorner$conserve$\lrcorner$ in a stable condition, but inevitably collections are exposed as stable condition, but inevitably collections are exposed as called $\ulcorner$exhibition$\lrcorner$. For that reason the function of $\ulcorner$exhibition$\lrcorner$. For that reason the function of $\ulcorner$exhibition$\lrcorner$for 'showing' and the function of $\ulcorner$preservation$\lrcorner$for 'conserve'are contrary to each other's concept, so it is principle of scheme that these concepts should be functionally connected with and planned$\ulcorner$match$\lrcorner$. In addition, various studies (for example, comparative analysis of collections, examination of collections for conserved condition or special exhibition, and classification of new item, etc.) are worked in preservation space. Therefore, preservation space should not be considered as a warehouse, should be composed not only$\ulcorner$comfortable place to rest of collections$\lrcorner$but also $\ulcorner$part of study room$\lrcorner$in a museum. So that, environment of museum should be established by plan to preservation and management. The point of plan to museum is that minimize dangerous element for collections, and then develop an essencial element of space for$\ulcorner$conservation$\lrcorner$and$\ulcorner$exhibition$\lrcorner$. The reason why with a few exceptions (buildings which have being exposed or extremely minor part of collections) most of collections have been lasting its life during over hundreds of years with adapting itself to natural features, so scheme of preservation facilities should be made up with understanding and analysis generic character of collections, and then establish proper temperature and humidity environment.

  • During the Joseon period, space, organization, and personnel were essential in order to perform the administrative work for local governance. For that reason local government records were created, managed, and stored as the results of its administration. Buildings and spaces of local government office can be divided in 3 sections such as 1) administrator's space for governance and living; 2) petty officials' administrative space; 3) granary space for store rations and grains paid as tax. Because of its grand scale, a local government office had considerably complex organizational structure. In order to survey the types and forms of local government records, focusing on six transition documents (junggi, 重記) in the 19th Century Yeongnam Region, this study selected the record type documents in the item lists of the transition documents, then, classified the record type documents which were managed by the organizations in local government offices with several types: program of items (jeolmok, 節目), list of personnel or land (an, 案), register (daejang, 大帳), certified copy (deungnok, 謄錄) and muniment (wanmun, 完文), and examined these documents.

  • An association rule discovery, a technique to analyze the stored data in databases to discover potential information, has been a popular topic in stream data system. Most of the previous researches are concerned to single stream data. However, this approach may ignore in mining to multidimensional stream data. In this paper, we study the techniques discovering the association rules to multidimensional stream data. And we propose a AR-MS method reflecting the characteristics of stream data since make the summarization information by one data scan and discovering the association rules for significant rare data that appear infrequently in the database but are highly associated with specific event. Also, AR-MS method can discover the maximal frequent item of multidimensional stream data by using the summarization information. Through analysis and experiments, we show that AR-MS method is superior to other previous methods.

  • This paper presents distributive web-caching technique on the Head-End-Network (HNET) to solve excessive load of multimedia sever and inefficient use of network resources, The proposed web-caching is not concentration of load for a specific Head-End-Node(HEN), and it has advantage that there is no copy of a specific item on distributive HENs. This technique distributively stores on HENs partial streams of requested videos from clients connected to HENs and the order of store streams follows the order of request of identical video items from HENs. Thus, storing streams on each HEN that requests sevice are different. When a client requests the cached video on some HENs, the HEN that connects him receives streams in the order of store from HENs which stored them and it transmits them to him. These procedures are performed under the control of SA. This technique uses cache replacement algorithm that the combination of LFU, LRU and the last remove for the first stream of videos In order to reduce end-to-end delay.
