Analysis of Physical Characteristics on Compound Semiconductor $B_{13}P_2$ using APCVD

  • Boron Phosphide films were deposited on (111) Si substrate at $650^{\circ}C$, by the reaction of B2H6 with PH3 using APCVD. N2 was carried out as carrier gas. The optimal gas rates were $20\;m{\ell}/min$ for B2H6, $60\;m{\ell}/min$ for PH3 and $1\;{\ell}/min$ for N2. After as grown the films were insitu annealed for 1hour in N2 ambient at $550^{\circ}C$ and measured. The measurement of AFM shows that the RMS is $29.626{\AA}$ for the reaction temperature at $650^{\circ}C$. The measurement of XRD shows that the films have the orientation of (101). Also, the measurement of AES is shown that the films have B13P2 stoichiometry.

  • 니트릴, 니트로 및 할로겐과 같은 작용기 하나를 가지는 유기화합물과 이들의 작용기 하나와 더불어 카르보닐기를 가지는 10개 유기화합물의 에테르용액을 실온에서 알칼리성 수소화붕소나트륨용액에 작용시키는 2액상환원의 대략적인 반응속도와 화학량적 관계를 알아보았다. 니트릴, 니트로 및 할로겐은 2액상환원 조건하에서는 모두 반응하지 않았다. 따라서 이들 작용기 하나와 카르보닐기를 함께 가지고 있는 화합물들의 선택환원을 알아보았다. m-니트로벤즈알데히드, m-니트로아세트페논, p-시아노벤즈알데히드는 해당 알코올로 잘 환원되었으며 95∼100% 수득률을 얻었다.

  • Fine ceramic particles of zirconia toughened alumina (ZTA), titania toughened alumina (TTA), and zirconia-titania toughened alumina (ZTTA) have been synthesized by ultrasonic spray pyrolysis (USP) at various temperatures from starting salt solutio ns of various compositions aiming for the development of catalytic material. These particles were characterized for properties such as shape, size and size distribution, diffraction pattern, and chemical and phase composition of elements by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), particle size analyzer (PSA), x-ray diffraction (XRD), and inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES). Chemical compositions and sizes of ceramic composites have been controled by the stoichiometry of salt solutions and the flow rate of spraying solutions. The optimum experimental conditions for the various composite particle syntheses have been proposed.

Solvent Extraction of Ni(II) from Strong Hydrochloric Acid Solution by Alamine336

  • Slope analysis method was applied to determine the stoichiometry of the solvent extraction reaction of Ni(II) by Alamine336 from strong HCl solution range from 1 to 10 M. Solvent extraction data was obtained from the literature. The effective equilibrium constant for the solvent extraction reaction was estimated by considering the ionic equilibria of $NiCl_2$ in the HCl solution. The measured distribution coefficients of Ni(II) agreed well with those calculated in this study. Our results suggest that further study on the measurement of the activities of nickel complexes at high HCl solution need to be done.

  • The recognition of neutral aromatic substrates by different neutral calix[4]arene receptors 1, 2, and 3 was studied by NMR spectroscopy. The stoichiometry is 1:1 in all cases as was confirmed by jobs plot. Owing to the deep cavity, 1 affords stronger binding abilities for substrate 4 and 5, while all receptors remained inert for substrates 6 and 7. The binding constants determined by $^1H$ NMR titration show that the recognition of substrate 4 by 1 gives strongest complexation ($K_a\;of\;9.8\;{\times}\;102\;M^{-1}$).

2-Aminothiazolinium Based Tripodal Receptors:Synthesis and Recognition of Oxoanions

  • Novel 2-aminothiazolinium based tripodal receptors were designed and synthesized. The binding property of these receptors toward various anions was investigated by the isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC) method. Receptor 4 recognized the acetate anion with 1:1 stoichiometry, whereas it bound the other oxoanions such as sulfate and phosphate in complex modes. By modifying the phenyl groups at the 4-position of the thiazoline rings of the tripodal receptor 4 to induce a mutual aromatic stacking interaction among the three ligands, receptor 10 showed totally different binding behavior, which gave rise to the 1:1 binding mode for the sulfate anion. This result was confirmed by ESI MS spectrometry.

비양론 화학적 조성 및 소결온도가 Ni-Zn Ferrite 의 자기적 성질에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Non-Stoichiometry and Sintering Temperature on the Magnetic Properties of Ni-Zn Ferrites)

  • The effect of non-stoichimetry and sintering temperature on the magnetic properties of materials in the system $Ni_{0.39}Zn_{0.61}Fe_{2.0+x}O_4$ have been investigated. The value of x used in initial weighing of oxides were varied from -0.04 to -0.12. The value of x, however, appears to be from +0.04 to -0.04 after ferrite powder preparation due to iron pick up during ball mill mixing and grinding. The densities of specimens which were deficientinrion were higher than those with excess ion. Specimens with near stoichiometric composition showed maximum initial permeability an dminimum coercivity whereas high values of quality factor (Q) were observed in iron deficient specimens. The quality factor decreased monotonically with increasing sintering temperature, but the permeability showed maxima with increasing sintering temperature. Thus highest value of figure of merit $\mu$Q was obtained in composition $Ni_{0.39}Zn_{0.61}Fe_{1.98O4}$ sintered at 100$0^{\circ}C$ for 3 hrs. in an air atmosphere.

RF 마그네트론 반응성 스퍼터링 제작된 ZnO/Glass 박막 특성 (Characteristics of ZnO/Glass Thin Films Prepared by RF Magnetron Sputtering)

  • ZnO thin films on glass substrate were deposited by on RF mangetron reaction sputter with various grgon/oxygen gas ratios and sbustrate temperatures. Crystallinities, surface morphologies, chemical compositions, and electrical properties of the films were investigated by XRD, AFM, XPS, RBS, and electrometer(keithley 617). All films showed a strong perferred orientation along the x-axis on glass substrate, and the chemical stoichiometry of Zn/)=1/1.0 was obtained at Ar/$O_2$ =50/50. Surface roughness and resistivity depended on the argon/oxygen gas ratio. The minimum surface roughness of 20$\AA$ and maximum resistivity of $10^8$ $\Omega$ cm were achieved at Ar/$O_2$=10/90.

  • This is the experimental research that tries to explain a variety of RH is how to affect the cell performance and the flooding phenomenon of proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC). A value of PH changes to 0%, 50% and 90% as its variation, either stoichiometric flow rate changes to 1.5, 2 and 4. Into the comparison between theoretical and experimental value, this study analyzes that a variety of PH is how 10 affect flooding in the cathode of the proton exchange membrane fuel cell. The effect of air stoichiometry, air humidity and different flow fields are also discussed in this paper This study has accomplished the measurement of performance as the variety of RH in the cathode of proton exchange membrane fuel cell, moreover it has recorded the visualization of flooding in the cathode with a high-speed micro camera.

  • The effect of dopant and stoichiometry on the optical properties of LiNbO3 were studies. We prepared three samples, which are undoped, MgO doped LiNbO3 and near-stoichiometric LiNbO3 dielectric constant and transmittance in UV/VIS/IR light range were measured. The results showed that the features for high [Li]/[Nb] were similar to those for low [Li]/[Nb] but with high [Mg].
