In this study, a substrate-bias assisted 2-step pulse programming method is proposed for realizing 4-bit/1-cell operation of the SONOS memory. The programming voltage and time are considerably reduced by this programming method than a gate-bias assisted 2-step pulse programming method and CHEI method. It is confirmed that the difference of 4-states in the threshold voltage is maintained to more than 0.5 V at least for 10-year for the multi-level characteristics.
In pulse diagnosis, the indentation pressure is one of the most important factors as well as the change of pulse shape and the distribution of pressure via time. But, on the oriental medical doctor's indentation pressure control, the understandings of the neurophysiological meanings and mechanisms have been lacked. So, in this paper, we considered on these issues and then proposed a proper system which can imitate the OMD's indentation pressure control mechanisms. As a result, both tactile information and kinesthetic information were found to be essential to the indentation pressure control so that a system, which can measure both the physical indent pressure and the displacement of an indentation arm, has been proposed. With this proposed system, while the indentation was being controlled through the moving step number of the step motor, the physical indentation pres sure and displacement of the indentation arm were measured. From these measured data, the relationships between the moving step number and both physical indentation pressure and displacement were revealed to have linear characteristics in early phase and to have nonlinear characteristics in latter phase. Additionally, three types of graph were generated whose X axis means the moving step number, the physical indentation pressure and the displacement respectively and Y axis means the pulse pressure. By comparing these graphs, we come to conclude that different concepts on indentation pressure control cause different diagnostic results on floating/sinking degrees for the same subject. Consequently, an indentation system for the pulse diagnosis should be able to provide both the tactile information and kinesthetic information, that is, the physical indentation pressure and the displacement of the indentation arm. In future, the proposed system should be optimized to the pulse diagnosis environment and how to combine the both information for more reliable diagnosis should be studied.
In this study, We use microstep control to reduce vibration of step motor. Microstep control of step motor is usually thought of as an extension of conventional step motor control technology. The essence of micro stepping is that we divide the full step of a step motor into a number of substep called microstep and cause the stepmotor to move through a substep per input pulse. In ideal case, by controlling the individual phase currents of a two-phase step motor sinusoidally we can get uniform torque and step angle. But due to the nonlinear characteristics of the step motor, we need to compensate current waveform to improve the over-all smoothness of the conventional micro stepping system. We implement digital Pulse Width Modul- ation (PWM) driver to drive step motor and microphone was used for detecting vibration. Driver enables speed change automatically by increasing or decreasing micro stepping ratio which we call Automatic Switching on the Fly. To compensate the torque harmonics, neural network is applied to the system and we found compensated optimal input current waveform. Finally we can get smooth motion of step motor in a wide range of motor speed.
The power characteristics of the Mg-Air fuel cell were investigated with regard to variation of load conditions. The types of load current using for the Mg-Air fuel cell with 10% NaCl electrolyte were step type, ramp type and pulse type. It was found that transient phenomena occurred in the step current load, which is due to activate of the oxidation-reduction reaction process. And the transient time increase with the load current increase. In the load current of ramp type, the slop of voltage drop increased with current load slop ${\alpha}$ increase. The load voltage and power decreased according to the pulse period of load current decrease were attributed to the metal sludges.
In recent years, the multilevel inverter synthesizing the output voltage with step pulse has been widely used as a solution for high power and high voltage applications. This paper proposes a simple method to obtain the conducting . angle. It is calculated by using voltage-second areas of the divided reference voltage according to the output voltage levels and these areas have influence on output step pulse waves. It is possible to reduce an amount of calculation because it is not required to solve the simultaneous equations by an iterative method. Also, the proposed method can get the conducting angle by means of on line.
Simple algebraic expressions are derived to approximate the optimal input RMS pulse width and the resulting output RMS pulse width in single-mode fibers. The results are compared with the previously published methods and with numerical results by the split-step Fourier method. In addition, for a transform-limited Gaussian input pulse, it is shown that there is no optimum input pulse width to minimize the output spectrum width. Finally, with fiber nonlinearity, it is shown mathematically that there is not an optimum input pulse width to minimize the product,${\sigma}_t{\sigma}_{\omega}$, which is inversely proportional to the transmission capacity of WDM systems.

The purpose of this clinical study is to develop structured clinical trial protocol and guideline for improvement of safety, useful and effective of pulse diagnosis devices. As a first step, papers on pulse diagnosis and pulse diagnosis devices from 2001 and 2013 were systematically reviewed. In the next step, we have collected the opinions from the specialists, companies, and statistician in pulse diagnosis to evaluate the current condition, the state and problem of domestic clinical trial cases of pulse diagnosis device. And we have to created protocol and case report form (CRF) in regards to site condition and characteristics of pulse diagnosis devices, and showed the guideline of eligibility criteria, operation process, investigation items, evaluation items and so on. This clinical protocol will become a basic information for a researcher in designing or performing a clinical study of pulse diagnosis devices, and be used as a useful material during acquisition of good clinical data. Furthermore, we hope to enhance the invigoration of pulse diagnosis clinical trials and the performance improvement of pulse diagnosis devices.

In this paper, a novel new pulse power generator based on IGBT stacks is proposed for pulse power application. Because it can generate up to 60kV pulse output voltage without any step- up transformer or pulse forming network, it has advantages of fast rising time, easiness of pulse width variation and rectangular pulse shape. Proposed scheme consists of series connected 9 power stages to generate maximum 60kV output pulse and one series resonant power inverter to charge DC capacitor voltage. Each power stages are configured as 8 series connected power cells and each power cell generates up to 850VDC pulse. Finally pulse output voltage is applied using total 72 series connected IGBTs. To reduce component for gate power supply, a simple and robust gate drive circuit is proposed. For gating signal synchronization, full bridge invertor and pulse transformer generates on-off signals of IGBT gating with gate power simultaneously and it has very good characteristics of short circuit protection.
