The Improved-Scheme of Audio Steganography using LSB Techniques (LSB 기법을 이용하는 개선된 오디오 스테가노그래피)

  • Audio steganography is quite similar to the procedure of modifying the least significant bit(LSB) of image media files. The most widely used technique today is hiding of secret messages into a digitized audio signal. In this paper, I propose a new method for hiding messages from attackers, high data inserting rate is achieved. In other words, based on the LSB hiding method and digitized to change the bit position of a secret message, an encrypted stego medium sent to the destination in safe way.

  • Transferring the contents for multimedia shows recently very activity, So this fact ailows the contents for multimedia to be commercialized. These contents, however, included much vulnerability that it is difficult to be commercialized because attackers easily reproduce that. Many developers want to use watermarking method as the technique to protect the contents for multimedia, but it is very vulnerable to use only one method, This paper proposes the Secure DRM system which protects the contents for multimedia steganography methods. The DRM system is more powerful than general DRM systems in that it has the special feature of watermarking and steganography techniques, We can prevent the attackers from reproducing and stealing the contents illegally, and authenticating users through DRM systems.

Secure Steganography Based on Triple-A Algorithm and Hangul-jamo (Triple-A 알고리즘과 한글자모를 기반한 안전한 스테가노그래피)

  • Steganography is a technique that uses hidden messages to prevent anyone apart from knowing the existence of a secret message, except the sender and trusted recipients. This paper applies 24 bit color image as cover medium. And a 24-bit color image has three components corresponding to red, green and blue. This paper proposes an image steganography method that uses Triple-A algorithm to hide the secret (Hangul) message by arbitrarily selecting the number of LSB bits and the color channel to be used. This paper divides the secret character into the chosung, jungsung and jongsung, and applies crossover, encryption and arbitrary insertion positions to enhance robustness and confidentiality. Experimental results of the proposed method show that insertion capacity and correlation are excellent and acceptable image quality level. Also, considering the image quality, it was confirmed that the size of LSB should be less than 2.

  • Steganography technology protects the existence of hidden information by embedding a secret message in a specific location on the cover medium. Security and resistance are strengthened by applying various hybrid methods based on encryption and steganography. In particular, techniques to increase chaos and randomness are needed to improve security. In fact, the case where the shuffling method is applied based on the discrete cosine transform(DCT) and the least significant bit(LSB) is an area that needs to be studied. I propose a new approach to hide the bit information of Hangul messages by integrating the selective shuffling method that can add the complexity of message hiding and applying the spatial domain technique to steganography. Inverse shuffling is applied when extracting messages. In this paper, the Hangul message to be inserted is decomposed into the choseong, jungseong and jongseong. It improves security and chaos by applying a selective shuffling process based on the corresponding information. The correlation coefficient and PSNR were used to confirm the performance of the proposed method. It was confirmed that the PSNR value of the proposed method was appropriate when compared with the reference value.

Novel Secure Hybrid Image Steganography Technique Based on Pattern Matching

  • The secure communication of information is a major concern over the internet. The information must be protected before transmitting over a communication channel to avoid security violations. In this paper, a new hybrid method called compressed encrypted data embedding (CEDE) is proposed. In CEDE, the secret information is first compressed with Lempel Ziv Welch (LZW) compression algorithm. Then, the compressed secret information is encrypted using the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) symmetric block cipher. In the last step, the encrypted information is embedded into an image of size 512 × 512 pixels by using image steganography. In the steganographic technique, the compressed and encrypted secret data bits are divided into pairs of two bits and pixels of the cover image are also arranged in four pairs. The four pairs of secret data are compared with the respective four pairs of each cover pixel which leads to sixteen possibilities of matching in between secret data pairs and pairs of cover pixels. The least significant bits (LSBs) of current and imminent pixels are modified according to the matching case number. The proposed technique provides double-folded security and the results show that stego image carries a high capacity of secret data with adequate peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) and lower mean square error (MSE) when compared with existing methods in the literature.

PVD Image Steganography with Locally-fixed Number of Embedding Bits (지역적 삽입 비트를 고정시킨 PVD 영상 스테가노그래피)

  • Steganography is a technique for secret data communication, which is not perceived by third person between a receiver and a transmitter. It has been developed for thousands of years for the transmission of military, diplomatic or business information. The development of digital media and communication has led to the development of steganography techniques in modern times. Technic of image steganography include the LSB, which fixes the number of embedded bits into a pixel, and PVD, which exploits the difference value in the neighboring pixel pairs. In the case of PVD image steganography, a large amount of information is embedded fluidly by difference value in neighboring pixel pairs and the designed range table. However, since the secret information in order is embedded, if an error of the number of embedded bits occurs in a certain pixel pair, all subsequent information will be destroyed. In this paper, we proposes the method, which improve the vulnerability of PVD property about external attack or various noise and extract secret information. Experimental process is comparison analysis about stego-image, which embedded various noise. PVD shows that it is not possible to preserve secret information at all about noise, but it was possible to robustly extract secret information for partial noise of stego-image in case of the proposed PVD image steganography with locally-fixed number of embedding bits.

  • The contents for multimedia are very activated along to revolution of Internet. So this fact allows the contents for multimedia to be commercialized. These contents , however, included much vulnerability that it is difficult to be commercialized because attackers easily reproduce that. Many developers want to use watermarking method as the technique to protect the contents for multimedia, but it is very vulnerable to use only one method. This paper proposes the Secure DRM system which protects the contents for multimedia using Public Key Infrastructure and steganography methods. The SDRM system is more powerful than general DRM systems in that it has the special feature of watermarking and steganography techniques. We can prevent the attackers from reproducing and stealing the contents illegally, and authenticating users through SDRM systems.

  • Steganography techniques can be used to hide data within digital images with little or no visible change in the perceived appearance of the image. I propose a steganalysis to detecting hidden message in sequential steganography. This paper presents adjusted technique for detecting abrupt jumps in the statistics of the stego signal during steganalysis. The repeated statistical test based on CUSUM-SPRT runs constantly until it reaches decision. In this paper, I deal with a new and improved statistic $g_t$ by computing $S^{t^*}_j$.

A Key Exchange Protocol based on the Steganography with the QR code (스테가노그라피 기법이 적용된 QR코드 이미지 기반의 키 교환 프로토콜)

  • The traditional key exchange protocols are transmitted by using the cryptographic. However, these protocols are compromised by the attacker. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a key exchange protocol based on the steganography with the QR code. The steganography technique embed secret information to the images, documents, videos, and MP3 files and transmit to the others. The attacker can't know that the transmission data is the secret data. Therefore, the sender transmits efficiently and safely the secret data to the others. In additional, the cover image is using the QR code image to insert the secret key. If attackers scan the QR code, then they just read the information or connect URL. They can not be recognized that the QR code image is hiding the secret key. The experiments compare the QR code image with the well-known image about the distortion and the safety.

Adaptive Hangul Steganography Based on Chaotic Encryption Technique (혼돈 암호화 기법에 기반한 적응된 한글 스테가노그래피)

  • Steganography uses digital images as a medium for sending secret messages over insecure networks. There is also a least significant bit(LSB) that is a popular method of embedding secret messages in digital images. The goal of steganography is to securely and flawlessly transmit secret messages using stego media over a communication channel. There is a need for a method to improve resistance to reduce the risk of exposure to third parties. To safely hide secret messages, I propose new algorithms that go through crossing, encryption, chaos and concealment steps. After separating Hangul syllables into choseong, jungseong and jongseong, the bitwised message information is encrypted. After applying the logistic map, bitwised information is reconstructed using the position of the chaotic sequence. The secret message is inserted into the randomly selected RGB channel. PSNR and SSIM were used to confirm the effectiveness of the applied results. It was confirmed as 44.392(dB) and 0.9884, respectively.
