Purpose: This study is focus on investigation of user's spontaneous behavior in the public space of ward where chronic patients are hospitalized. Methods: The notion and necessity of social healing environment is analyzed by literature review. User's location and behaviour are investigated for analyzing behavior by visiting the six wards. Results: The result 1) Stay is main behavior of users. 2) The frequency of stay is high in the place where are planned as the dayroom, the program room and the balcony. 3) In the corridor, the users are staying around court and single side corridor. And the users who are staying in the ward planned middle corridor and double corridor are spreaded all over the corridor. As the result of the analysis of correlation between frequency of user for stay and area of public space, 4) The area of the dayroom, the program room and the balcony is bigger, the frequency of users are higher. 5) There is no correlation between area of corridor and frequency of users. 6) When the density of user is highest in the place for stay, one person occupied $1.96m^2$. Implications: Hereafter the public space, which social healing environment is considered, is planned, this study could suggest the directions of architectural planning about area.

It is not appropriate for a public space to explain many space and places in hospital for the patient, and that is the patient' space. Today, the children's museum evolved from place of exhibition for seeing and feeling, to that of exhibition for searching and touching, or so-called the hands-on exhibition. This will allow for grabbing the interest from children and provide an opportunity for learning by an actual experience at this intellectual and benign environment. But in this modern society that constantly undergoes evolution even as we speak, it is not an easy task to bring our children to museums, because they are vastly exposed to various media. Moreover, if the children who visited museums carelessly bypass the specific areas intended for exhibition, the educational purpose of "enhanced learning effect with hands-on experience" is easily underachieved. According to children's visual stimuli, their behavioral charactoristics are appeared to freewill curiosity but they show shorter elapsed time(impermanence), intensity(stubbornness), frequent occurrence(frequentness) and changeable (translatability). So, We need Improvement of visual image affordance through the measurement of stay time. Firstly, five factors are extracted by factor analysis on twenty questions based on visual image factors; Color accessability and Satistaction(factor1), brightness and color harmony(factor2), feeling on harmonization of color and stay time(factor3), simplex & complex of space(factor4), feeling on scale(factor5) Secondly, the following result are derived through a distribution chart on an exhibition room of K-museum. As shown above, this study based on various analyzed aspects proposes the directions of a color image plan to improve stay time in exhibition space of children museums with a hope to support educational goals of experience education-focused children museums.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of visitors' sense of place on regeneration space using idle industrial facilities on visitors' satisfaction and length of stay. For this purpose, this study selected Mullae Art Village in Seoul as a study site and conducted a questionnaire survey focused on visitors. The results of an exploratory factor analysis (EFA), reliability analysis and multiple regression analysis show that among the sense of place factors of Mullae Art Village 'Attractiveness' and 'Meaningfulness' have a positive influence on visitor satisfaction and length of stay. 'Attractiveness' was found to be the most influential factor. 'Historicity' was found to have no effects on visitor satisfaction and length of stay. In addition, visitor satisfaction has a positive influence on duration of stay. These results suggest that it is important to analyze the sense of place of idle industrial facilities. It will be a useful guide for urban space planners in revitalizing and establishing a marketing strategy for these spaces.

As the importance of economic value of culture has increased, governments have set a strategy to secure national competitiveness through cultural art. One of concrete ways is establishing a cultural space by using idle facilities. This study aims to analyze publicness of Seoul Art Space, suggest ways to improve the facilities of creative space and provide basic date for the further plan of creative space. The object of this study is 8 facilities from Seoul Art Space which is operated by City of Seoul. Through literature review, we extracted 5 elements(each element has 4 sub categories) for publicness(accessibility, openness, convenience, historical connectivity and stay time) and to evaluates publicness of the Seoul Art Space, we analyzed these facilities based on these elements. The results are as follows: The publicness of Seoul Art Space acquired 96.9%(100% is 64 points) for stay time, 95.3% for convenience, 90.6% for accessibility, 73.4% for openness and 62.5% for historical connectivity. For the openness, we suggest to use glass materials and open the space to the public. To improve historical connectivity, we suggest to determine appropriate theme for a particular space or area and set a function of buildings for the differentiation.

It is real condition that Kangwon-do's number of closed school appears by many things thirdly in whole country and the post management countermeasure is urgent. Because this research chooses the closed school by way to solve the closed school problem that happen by the child of school age decrease the farming and fishing villages or small city and the shortage problem of old people's welfare facilities by population graying at the same time. There is the purpose to grope practical use the possibility of local closed school as welfare center for the old who stay at home present remodeling to welfare facilities for the old man. Keeping the structure condition of a closed school maximum, the welfare center for the old who stay at home by remodeling a closed school ultimately proposed.

Some problems facing the cities in modern times begin to be highlighted due to the development into the information-oriented society via the stage of industralization. The structures built centering on the second industries have become superannuated to degenerate as horrid objects while losing their purposefulness with the emergence of the information age. In designing a hotel space where people stay temporarily unlike the housing space for a permanent stay, housing designers are making efforts to work on space design that could be more imprinted in the mind of the users. As the fruit of their sheer labor, the space design in modern hotel design comes to direct a diversity of atmospheres by virtue of various art genres which try to apply it to a space by borrowing it and changing its appearance. Thus, this study aims to look into how the gradually evolving conversion design hotel come to be recreated as an urban regeneration space while retaining the value of the space used in the past, and to analyze & systematize its subsequent design patterns applied to conversion design hotel space with focus on the recent cases.

In this paper, we provide the performance analyses of a dual-hop amplify-and-forward(AF) relay transmission composed of asymmetric radio-frequence(RF) and free-space optical(FSO) links. In the mixed RF/FSO system, a relay is equipped with two receive antennas for RF signals and one additional transmit antenna for FSO signals. In order to improve a performance of RF link, a switch-and-stay (SSC) diversity technique is applied at the relay which can provide a proper link performance with a low complexity. Specifically, we offer the performance analyses of the proposed system in terms of outage probability and secrecy outage probability. In numerical examples, we compare the system performances with no diversity and selection combining systems and verify our analytical results via computer-based Monte-Carlo simulations.

In a recent construction industry, cable supported structures such as a cable-stayed bridge or space stadium have been increasingly constructed. Generally the stay cables as a critical member should be adjusted to be satisfied with the design tension forces. In this purpose, a vibration method has been applied to estimate the tension forces exerted to the existing stay cables. In this study, cable vibration tests were carried out to estimate the cable tension forces comparing with theoretical and practical formulas. From the measured frequencies obtained from free vibration and impulsive tests, the accuracy of 1he estimated tension forces is confirmed according to use only the first single mode or higher multiple modes.
