사회교육으로서의 소비자교육프로그램 개발 I: 소비자교육프로그램 운영현황과 상담사례 분석 및 시사점 (Development of Consumer Education Program As Social Education Program: Part I)

  • The study was first part of the research on development of consumer education program as social education program. The purpose of this study was to review social consumer education programs conducted by various organizations and to examine the consulting statistics from Korea Consumer Protection Board and Korea National Council of Consumer Organizations. In Consumer Protection Board, consumer education was operated mainly for both college students majored in consumer studies and public-sector workers. Outgoing education was provided mainly to the persons in industries and housewives. Other consumer organizations conducted consumer education using government funds. The organizations considered 'purchasing' and 'consumerism' most frequently as the topics for the education. 'Credit' and 'insurance' were another main concerns at the education. The consulting statistics showed that 'mobile communication', 'laundry service', 'health foods', and 'educational materials for foreign language' took the largest portion of the consumer consulting. Some implications were made for developing consumer education program as social education.

  • 이 연구에서는 현직 중등학교 교사 45명이 통계 영역의 수업을 분석한 결과를 검토하여 수업 실행과 관련된 교사 지식의 특징을 기술함으로써 교사의 수업 전문성 신장과 관련된 논의에 시사점을 얻고자 하였다. 이를 위해 우선 교사들의 수업 관찰 결과를 분석하기 위한 이론적 틀을 개발하고 이를 토대로 교사들이 작성한 수업 분석문의 세부 내용을 코드화하였다. 이렇게 코드화된 분석문을 통해 통계 지도와 관련된 교사 지식의 실제적 특징을 확인하여 '수업의 목적', '교사의 역할과 담화', '자료와 공학 도구'의 관점에서 통계 교육과 관련된 몇 가지 이슈를 추출하였다.

실험을 통한 통계교육의 수업방법 연구 (A Study of the Teaching Method for Statistics Education with Experiment)

  • This study suggested a teaching method to improve intuitive understanding of the statistical basic concepts about the central limit theorem with experiment. It is very hard to understand about the concept of the central limit theorem in the school mathematics class. The result of this study experiment for the class of statistics education shows that the students and mathematics teachers were interesting at this experiment. They corrected their misunderstanding about the central limit theorem by discussion for the result of experiment with team members. I think that this study can help teachers to teach the students using the experiment method.

  • Based on the contents of probability and statistics areas in the seventh curriculum, we developed a statistics education model programmed by visual basic for upper grade students of elementary schools. The model that was consisted of ten modules can be easily manipulated by elementary schools students. The objects with a variety of colors are presented on P.C monitor and dynamic functions are performed by clicking a mouse. According to the survey after using the model, students positively evaluated the contents and characteristics and showed great interest in the model. We will upload the execution files of the model on our homepage. One can download and use them free.

학생 건강에 대한 OECD와 한국의 통계지표 (The Statistical Indicators of OECD and Korea for Student Health)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the statistical indicators of OECD and Korea for student health among Korea's approval statistics. Methods: Searching for health indicators by using Health at a Glance 2009, Society at a Glance 2009, and Education at a Glance 2009 through the formal OECD web site in 2010, and investigating the approval statistics through the Korean formal organizational web sites and published data in 2012. Results: Among OECD indicators, indicators for adolescent health were smoking and alcohol consumption, nutrition, physical activity, overweight and obesity, bullying, risk behaviors, and poverty children. However, most of Korea student health indicators were missing except poverty children and life satisfaction, because OECD has taken chiefly data from Health Behavior in School-aged Children survey (HBSC), international study, which has not been carried out in Korea. The Ministry Of Education, Science And Technology (MEST) and the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and National Youth Policy Institute in Korea have produced the major statistics for student health which was only 11 (1.3%) among 858 approval statistics. Conclusion: Identifying a current Korea school health is essential through participating actively to OECD whose statistic indicators are internationally comparable with Students Physical Development Survey, MEST's approval statistics, using Korea Student Health Examination. It was also suggested that quantitative and qualitative expansions for Korea student health statistics by the activation of approval statistics including processed statistics, and by researchers' easy expanded access to a raw data.

  • To overcome current hardship during recent years of university reform, statistics departments of Korean universities should form a new shape with efficient strategies: First, they should value interdisciplinary and open education to foster scientific generalists rather than specialists (Bode.Mosteller.Tukey.Winsor, 1949). Second, they should work out on developing curriculum and improving educational quality for non-statistics majors (Ahn.Cho.Huh, 1994). The service market is widely open and its value is certainly worthy. Third, they may change their department name from "statistics", of which the social image is not quite right, to "data science" or "data information". Statistics is a field of learning on data methodology (Friedman, 1997). methodology (Friedman, 1997).

  • 우리나라 초ㆍ중ㆍ고등학교 확률 및 통계영역 교육은 1997년 교육 인적 자원부 고시로 제 7차 수학과 교육과정이 개정되어 현재 초ㆍ중ㆍ고등학교 현장에서 시행되고 있다. 교과서 전수 조사를 통하여 제 7차 수학과 교육과정에 따른 1-10 단계 확률 및 통계단원을 분석하여 확률 및 통계영역 교육의 현황을 파악하고, 제 6차 수학과 교육과정과 비교, 검토하였다.

토양오염도 현황 통계의 품질 진단과 개선 방안 (Statistics Quality Assessment and Improvement of Monitoring on Soil Quality)

  • The statistics of monitoring on soil quality is a report statistics which is made on the basis of Article 15, Environment Strategy Basic Law and Article 5, Soil Environment Conservation Law. This study was conducted according to quality assessment of Korea National Statistical Office. The assessment of quality infrastructure advised that the authority bring up and increase completely responsible officer and secure the budget. The assessment of user satisfaction and reflection of request propose that the statistics is focused on soil background concentration, decrease soil sampling points and extend survey period. The assessment of error management system per processes of detailed preparation suggest change of the statistics objective, a reduction of sampling points and improvement of survey period and soil measurement properties. Accuracy assessment of data proposed cuts of sampling points, accessibility increment and build up of management system linking subordinates and Ministry of Environment. The substantiality assessment of data service demonstrated information environment improvement for users including reference expression and records of statistics table and figure contents.

중국의 중학교 통계 교육과정 분석을 통한 통계교육 방안 탐색: 2022 개정 수학과 교육과정을 중심으로 (Exploring the Direction of Middle School Statistics Education through a Comparison of Statistical Content between China & Korea: Focused on the Revised 2022 Mathematics Curriculum)

  • 본 연구는 2022년 12월에 고시된 2022 개정 중학교 수학과 교육과정에서 제시한 통계 내용의 안정적인 현장 정착이라는 현실적인 필요성에 의해 수행된 문헌 연구이다. 2022 개정 수학과 교육과정 개정 방향 중의 하나인 통계교육의 변화 요구를 고려하였다. 특별히 본 연구에서는 중국 중학교 수학과 교육과정의 통계 내용을 면밀히 분석하였다. 왜냐하면 10년마다 수학과 교육과정을 개정하는 중국이 우리나라와 동일한 2022년에 새로운 수학과 교육과정을 고시하였기 때문이다. 이에 본 연구는 대한민국의 2022 개정 중학교 수학과 교육과정 통계 내용 및 2022년판 중국 중학교 수학과 교육과정 및 현재 사용 중인 수학교과서 통계 내용에 대한 상호 분석을 통하여, 우리나라의 새로운 교육과정의 방향에 부합된 통계교육 실현을 위한 기초 자료를 제공하는 것을 연구 목적으로 설정하였다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 다음과 같은 연구를 수행하였다. 첫째, 중국 중학교 수학과 교육과정의 '통계와 확률' 영역 분석을 통해 우리나라 통계교육에 유의미한 시사점을 제공할 수 있는 요소 5가지를 추출하였다. 둘째, 추출된 요소가 반영된 중국의 수학교과서 및 교육과정 부록에 제시된 예시 내용을 분석하였다. 셋째, 분석 결과를 바탕으로 2022 개정 중학과 수학과 교육과정에 따른 통계교육의 이상을 실현하기 위한 교과서 개발, 교실의 교수·학습 방안 및 추후 새로운 수학과 교육과정에 대한 시사점을 도출하였다. 본 연구를 통해 2022 개정 중학교 수학과 교육과정에서 표방하는 방향에 부합된 현장 통계교육의 안착을 기대한다.

  • In teaching statistics in the secondary school, most math teachers do it and students enjoy it well before 11th grade. But, both of teachers and students feel statistics hard at 11th grade, which has been contained permutations, combinations, random variables, probability distributions, hypotheses and tests for normal distribution. In this study, we explore the efficient teaching methods of statistics for math teachers and also find many students enjoying it.
