Bayes estimators and generalized ML estimators for reliability of a k-unit hot standby system with the perfect switch based upon a complete sample of failure times observed from an exponential distribution using noninformative, generalized uniform, and gamma priors for the failure rate are proposed, and MSE's of proposed several estimators for the standby system reliability are compared numerically each other through the Monte Carlo simulation.

This Study is to propose the method about statistical factor from the old oriental medical record in Korea. This Study reviews the statistical analysis recently published in the old oriental medical books which are in the Research Report by the Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine at 2007. The results reveal a disease factors, prescription factors.medicines factors, population factors and historical factors by the statistics. The results show that the old oriental medical record for a information system need the interpreting with a information analysts, a statistics analysts and an oriental medical doctors.

In this paper, we propose a method of generating a proper categorization of morphemes by giving a hierarchical part-of-speech system and a corpus tagged using this part-of-speech system. Our method use hierarchical information in the part-of-speech system and statistical information in the corpus to generate a category set. The statistical information is based on the context of occurrence of categories. First, we specify the format of given information. Then, we describe an algorithm to generate a proper categorization. Finally, we present the results of our experiments in applying this method. We obtained a moderately proper categorization and found several candidates for improvement .

A more general version of diffusivity based on total variation of density is defined and an information inequality for median-unbiased estimation is presented. The resulting information inequality can be interpreted as an analogue of the Bhattacharyya system of lower bounds for mean-unbiased estimation. A condition on which the information bound is achieved is also given.

A loss system where two types of customers arrive in accordance with two independent Poisson processes is considered. An efficient recursive formula is developed for calculating the loss probability when the number of servers is large. Some practical examples regarding the performance evaluation of telecommunications networks are discussed.

The internet survey is more time and cost efficient than the off-line survey. We design and implement a web-based questionnaire generating system for the internet survey. The system guides users to make up a questionnaire step by step. It also generates data code for the statistical packages such as SPSS and SAS when the internet survey has been done.

전력설비의 증가 및 전력감시제어설비의 대용량 및 통합화에 따른 데이터처리 및 데이터통신에 대한 정보 요구량 증가와 이기종 컴퓨터간 및 네트워크 상호간의 높은 데이터처리 속도를 요구하고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 전력설비의 증가로 인하여 전력감시제어설비 또한 새로운 변화와 시스템 개선이 필요하다고 본다. 이에 따라 EMS의 부담을 경감시키고 공급신뢰도의 향상을 위하여 변전소들이 점차 무인화되면서 원격소장치의 프로토콜 변경으로 인한 트래픽의 발생정도 및 트래픽량에 의한 응답처리속도에 대하여 알아 보았다. 이러한 결과 고속 대용량화의 한계에 대비하는 대처방안임을 확신하고 전력감시제어설비 시스템의 안전성을 극대화할 수 있는 계기를 마련하고자 한다.

여러 많은 응용분야에서 통계분석을 이용하여 의사결정을 뒷받침하는 정보를 얻는다. 그러나 PC용 통계분석 프로그램은 경제적인 부담과 시간 및 위치의 제한을 받는다. 이를 최소화하기 위하여 인터넷을 이용하여 서버 PC의 통계분석 프로그램을 사용하거나, 웹 브라우저를 이용하여 통계분석 프로그램을 사용할 수 있는 웹기반 시스템이 개발되어 왔다. 그러나 기존의 연구는 특정 통계분석 프로그램을 이용하여야 한다. 이를 개선하기 위하여 웹에서 사용되는 html, JAVA, JSP 등의 언어만 사용하여 특정 통계분석 프로그램의 설치 없이 통계분석이 가능한 웹기반 시스템을 개발하였다.
