Purpose: To develop outcome indicators of urinary incontinence to measure quality of care in long term care hospitals in Korea. Methods: The draft indicators of urinary incontinence were developed from a literature review and clinical expert panel. A survey of medical records of 280 patients in 20 hospitals was conducted to test inter-rater reliability. Statistical analysis was done to test risk adjustment criteria, variation between hospitals, and stability of indicators, using assessment data from 77,918 patients in 623 hospitals. Results: The inter-rater reliability of items was high (Kappa range: 0.66- 0.92). Severe cognitive impairment (odds ratio [OR]: 3.15, confidence interval [CI]: 3.03-3.26) and total mobility activities of daily living (ADLs) dependency (OR: 4.85, CI: 4.72-4.98) increased the prevalence of urinary incontinence, thus they proved to be significant criteria to stratify high and low risk groups. The prevalence for low risk showed more substantial variation than the high risk group. The indicators were stable over one month. Conclusion: This study demonstrated the feasibility of outcome indicators of urinary incontinence. Improving the reliability of the patient assessment tool and refining the indicators through validation study is a must for future study.

While efforts to measure and monitor children's well-being have gained increasing recognition across the OECD, there has been relatively little research on the subject of indicators of children's well-being in Korea. This study was undertaken in order to develop the domains and indicators which can be used to measure the quality of life of Korean children from birth to age 17 and to put forward a possible well-being index for Korean children. The 35 indicators of well-being were grouped into eight domains and were designed for this study, using previous research on key child indicators for Korea and the child well-being index in foreign countries, such as the FCD-Land Index, Kids Count, the index of child well-bing in the European Union and OECD area. These domains are composed of the following : economic well-being, health, education, spiritual/emotional well-being, children's relationships, civic participation, safety/risk behavior, and housing and environment. The establishment of a Korean children's well-being index requires access to and use of national statistical data analyzed annually by the government as well as a general consensus regarding such issues as scope and its indicators.

This study was to investigate the usefulness of the measures of the Korean Public Library Operation Assessment. The analyzed data were collected through a fulfillment degree of the evaluation indicators and the opinions of librarians for public libraries evaluation indicators. Same time, the comparative analysis of public library statistical indicators and evaluation indicators was performed. Based on the results of the analysis, I was selected assessment items that need to delete and modify. The improvements proposed in this study will provide a direction for the improvement of the Korean Public Library Operation Assessment. And may be applied to improve the process of the public library evaluation.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the structure and properties of the patterns by extracting the general patterns on socio-economic development from huge data by statistical analysis. We collected data concerning socio-logical, economical and technological aspects. Indicators used for this study amounted to a total of 136, and among them 39 were on science & technology. What is more, these indicators were set up with the resent data for the first half of the 1970's mainly, and 141 nations were selected as the sample. Some rinkage patterns to the total indicators were abstracted by cluster analysis based on the correlation matrix. And some rinkage patterns to the total countries were educed by applying cluster analysis of centroid method to the respective indicators.

Evaluation and comparison for the performance on the contracting-out became possible after the introduction of the performance indicators(PIs) in 2012 in Korea, And local governments and private companies are utilizing them as evaluation data to enhance the performance of the contracting-out. Several revisions on performance indicator were carried out by expert group on contents validity of PIs, But the review of the composition validity of PIs was not sufficient. In this study, the applicability, distinction ability and composition validity of PIs is evaluated by statistical method. From the results, Improvement of indicator is required in order to increase the interrelationship among indicators to enhance the compostion validity of indicators related with operation, sludge and water reuse.

This study conducted with following step. Firstly, preceding research, the literature and investigation analysis about process approach method which is the special characteristics of ISO/TS 16949 standard. Secondly, each process of ISO/TS 16949 standard is classified and deduced the key performance indicators followed process access method. Finally, get a enterprise survey data related to improvement of Performance Indicator and analyzed by SPSS statistical software.

In this study we examine Taiwan's overall performance in accordance with sustainable construction by developing an appraisal indicator framework. The framework consists of five layers, from bottom to top: the indicator; the indicator category; the core cluster; the theme; and the overall performance. The procedure for the development of a sustainable construction indicator system is outlined. Finally, a framework consists of 3 themes, 10 core clusters, and 33 indicator categories are established. Following the established framework, 67 proper indicators are selected for each category in the framework, and data of the 53 indicators are collected respectively from a nation's statistical databank in Taiwan. Sustainable construction index aggregated step-by-step from the indicators, the indicator categories, the core clusters and the themes is computed to assess Taiwan's progress in sustainable construction. The preliminary results and the discussion are reported.

This study was to propose an improvement direction in statistical indicators of public libraries to collect objective data from such libraries. This improvement direction was made by deriving from countable factors at the library. These were selected from various parts of the library sectors, such as the library-related laws, public library standard of our country, and statistical indicators of IFLA and other major countries. Also The these statistical indicator was compared to the current statistical indicator of public library in Korea. The results will be able to develop new draft of statistical indicator, which can be used in understanding the present situation of public libraries.

In this paper, we present a simple statistical method for performing word sense disambiguation(WSD), specially for Korean transitive verbs, based on a supervised learning algorithm. This approach combines a set of indicators based on syntactic relations between surrounding words and an ambiguous verb. Experiments with 10 Korean verbs show that accuracy performance of our WSD method using indicators based on syntactic relations is 27% higher than the baseline performance. Moreover, our method using weighting mechanism based on each indicator type is 12% higher than a method which uses only an unordered set of surrounding words in the context.
