Electrical optical switching and structural transformation of $Ge_{15}Sb_{85}$, $Sb_{65}Se_{35}$ and N2.0 sccm doped $Sb_{83}Si_{17}$ were studied to investigate the phase change characteristics for PRAM application. Sb-based materials were deposited by a RF magnetron co-sputtering system and the phase change characteristics were analyzed using an X-ray diffractometer (XRD), a static tester and a four-point probe. Doping Ge, Se or Si atoms reinforced the amorphous stability of the Sb-based materials, which affected the switching characteristics. The crystallization temperature of the Sb-based materials increased as the concentration of the Ge, Se or Si increased. The minimum time of $Ge_{15}Sb_{85}$, $Sb_{65}Se_{35}$ and N2.0 sccm doped $Sb_{83}Si_{17}$ for crystallization was 120, 50 and 90 ns at 12 mW, respectively. $Sb_{65}Se_{35}$ was crystallized at $170^{\circ}C$. In addition, the difference in the sheet resistances between amorphous and crystalline states was higher than $10^4{\Omega}/{\gamma}$.

The machine tool structures for ultra-precision machining muxt be manufactured with materials which have high static and dynamic stiffness, high damping, a long term dimensional and thermal stability. This study aims at the development of new composite material Epoxy-Granite which exhibits the satisfactory characteristics as a material of ultra-precision mchine tool bed. The Epoxy-Granite testpieces that use epoxy resins as a binder and granite particles as a aggregate have been manufactured so as to examine the material properties about mechanical, thermal and damping characteristics. Experiments were carried out to obtain the proper manufacturing conditions of Expoxy-Granite specimens by varying the several testing conditions such as types of epoxy resins, particle sizes of granite and mixture ratio of epoxy resin and aggregate. Also, when Epoxy-Granite was compared with cast iron, GRANITAN which was imported from CMS of U.K. and granite materials, it has exhibited the superior or almost the same mechanical and damping properties and thermal conductivity, except for the thermal expansion.
Equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) technique had been adapted to the Mg alloy (AZ31) for achieving effective grain refinement through severe deformation. The average grain size of $2.5{\mu}m$ could be obtained after 4 passes. The stability of the ECAPed structure at elevated temperatures was examined by annealing the ECAPed materials over a wide range of temperature between 473 and 748 K. The average activation energy, Q, for static grain growth of 1, 2 and 3 passes was 33.7 kJ/mole (=0.25QL, activation for lattice diffusion). The abnormally low Q value in the lower temperature range may indicate that grain growth occurs in the unrecrystallized microstructure where non-equilibrium grain boundaries containing a large number of extrinsic dislocations exist. The yield stresses of the ECAPed alloys decreased whereas the elongations increased after the ECAP process. These results should be related to the modification of texture for easier slip on basal plane.
The numerical analysis of the automatic ship mooring system which was equipped in the ship for trying to berth at the pier was performed in this study. The automatic ship mooring using hydraulic winch was a new method that had not need to change the existing devices and to help a pilot ship of outside. The numerical results of the proposed mooring system including ship motion were that the speed and rolling phenomenon of ship was affected by changing in the ship weight and affected the slope maintenance and yaw degree of ship if there has a trim of stern. Also, a static force of ship at the initial movement was important to calculate the mooring power. The moving force and inertial force of ship on the vertical direction was confirmed for the mooring stability. Therefore, the power and velocity of hydraulic mooring winch should be determined by considering the significant characteristics such as weight, velocity, inertial force and moving force of ship.

Actuator-induced disturbance is one of the crucial factors of spacecraft attitude pointing and stability in fine attitude control problems. The control moment gyros (CMGs) are known as very attractive actuators from the point of high power and low weight. In order to develop a CMG as an actuator for fine controls, CMG-induced disturbances should be analyzed. Therefore, this paper aims to develop an analytic model and predict the effect of disturbances of CMGs by assuming static and dynamic imbalances. The proposed model is induced by the Lagrangian method on the basis of the small signal assumption. In this research, mechanical system of the CMG is designed and the main components of CMG are producted.

This paper investigates the effects of thermal load and shear force on the buckling of nanobeams. Higher-order shear deformation beam theories are implemented and their predictions of the critical buckling load and post-buckled configurations are compared to those of Euler-Bernoulli and Timoshenko beam theories. The nonlocal Eringen elasticity model is adopted to account a size-dependence at the nano-scale. Analytical closed form solutions for critical buckling loads and post-buckling configurations are derived for proposed beam theories. This would be helpful for those who work in the mechanical analysis of nanobeams especially experimentalists working in the field. Results show that thermal load has a more significant impact on the buckling behavior of simply-supported beams (S-S) than it has on clamped-clamped (C-C) beams. However, the nonlocal effect has more impact on C-C beams that it does on S-S beams. Moreover, it was found that the predictions obtained from Timoshenko beam theory are identical to those obtained using all higher-order shear deformation theories, suggesting that Timoshenko beam theory is sufficient to analyze buckling in nanobeams.
Soft-story buildings have bottom stories much less rigid than the top stories and are susceptible to earthquake damage. Therefore, the seismic design specifications need strict design considerations in such cases. In this paper, a four-story building was investigated as a case study and the effects of X-braces elimination in its lower stories studied. In addition, the possibility of replacement of the X-braces in soft-stories with equivalent moment resisting frame inspected in two different phases. In first phase, the stiffness of X-braces and equivalent moment-resisting frames evaluated using classic equations. In final phase, diagonals removed from the lowest story to develop a soft-story and replaced with moment resisting frames. Then, the seismic stiffness variation of moment-resisting frame evaluated using nonlinear static and dynamic analyses. The results show that substitution of braced frames with an equivalent moment-resisting frame of the same stiffness increases story drift and reduces energy absorption capacity. However, it is enough to consider the needs of building codes, even using equivalent moment resisting frame instead of X-Braces, to avoid soft-story stiffness irregularity in seismic design of buildings. Besides, soft-story development in the second story may be more critical under strong ground excitations, because of interaction of adjacent stories.

Malware is a severe threat to the computing system and there's a long history of the battle between malware detection and anti-detection. Most traditional detection methods are based on static analysis with signature matching and dynamic analysis methods that are focused on sensitive behaviors. However, the usual detections have only limited effect when meeting the development of malware, so that the manual update for feature sets is essential. Besides, most of these methods match target samples with the usual feature database, which ignored the characteristics of the sample itself. In this paper, we propose a new malware detection method that could combine the features of a single sample and the general features of malware. Firstly, a structure of Directed Cyclic Graph (DCG) is adopted to extract features from samples. Then the sensitivity of each API call is computed with Markov Chain. Afterward, the graph is merged with the chain to get the final features. Finally, the detectors based on machine learning or deep learning are devised for identification. To evaluate the effect and robustness of our approach, several experiments were adopted. The results showed that the proposed method had a good performance in most tests, and the approach also had stability with the development and growth of malware.
Because of the shortcomings of the PID controllers and traditional drive systems of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs), a PMSM passivity-based control (PBC) drive system based on a quasi-Z source matrix converter (QZMC) is proposed in this paper. The traditional matrix converter is a buck converter with a maximum voltage transmission ratio of only 0.866, which limits the performance of the driven motor. Therefore, in this paper a quasi-Z source circuit is added to the input side of the two-stage matrix converter (TSMC) and its working principle has also been verified. In addition, the controller of the speed loop and current loop in the conventional vector control of a PMSM is a PID controller. The PID controller has the problem since its parameters are difficult to adjust and its anti-interference capability is limited. As a result, a port controlled dissipative Hamiltonian model (PCHD) of a PMSM is established. Thereafter a passivity-based controller based on the interconnection and damping assignment (IDA) of a QZMC-PMSM is designed, and the stability of the equilibrium point is theoretically verified. Simulation and experimental results show that the designed PBC control system of a PMSM based on a QZMC can make the PMSM run stably at the rated speed. In addition, the system has strong robustness, as well as good dynamic and static performances.

Recently, severe damage to domestic horticultural structures is frequently observed due to extreme climate effects. To minimize the structures' damage, a study on the structural stability of multi-span vinyl greenhouses is needed. This paper presents to measure the rotational stiffness of different connectors to improve the design capacities of the specification. The paper investigated fourteen types of the different connectors, which was commonly used in the multi-span greenhouses, and three different types of the connectors predicted to be under moment-connection were selected: i) T-clamp, ii) U-clamp, iii) C-clamp. Static loading tests for three different connectors were performed to measure the rotational stiffness. Additionally, the boundary condition for the structural design was proposed based on the experimental results of the rotational stiffness. One of three connectors, C-clamp had larger rotational stiffness than other connectors, and the experimental results presented the three connectors had boundary conditions; i) T-clamp was pinned-connection, ii) U-clamp was semi-rigid connection, iii) C-clamp was semi-rigid connection.
