A Study on Longitudinal Phugoid Mode Affected by Application of Nonlinear Control Laws

  • Relaxed Static Stability (RSS) concept has been applied to improve aerodynamic performance of modern version supersonic jet fighter aircraft. The T-50 advanced supersonic trainer employs the RSS concept in order to improve the aerodynamic performance. And the flight control system stabilizes the unstable aircraft and provides adequate handling qualities. The T-50 longitudinal control laws employ a proportional-plus-integral type controller based on a dynamic inversion method. The longitudinal dynamic modes consist of short period with high frequency and phugoid mode with low frequency. The design goal of longitudinal control law is optimization of short period damping ratio and frequency using Lower Order Equivalent System (LOES) complying the requirement of MIL-F-8785C. This paper addresses phugoid mode characteristics such as damping ratio and natural frequency that is affected by the nonlinear control laws such as angle of attack limiter, auto pitch attitude command system and autopilot of pitch attitude hold.

부이기반 자율형 수상로봇키트 개발 (Development of Buoy-based Autonomous Surface Robot-kit)

  • Buoys are widely used in marine areas because they can mark positions and simultaneously acquire and exchange underwater, surface, and airborne information. Recently, the need for controlling and optimizing a buoy's position and attitude has been raised to achieve successful communication in a heterogeneous collaborative network composed of an underwater robot, a surface robot, and an airborne robot. A buoy in the form of a marine robot would be ideal to address this issue, as it can serve as a moving node of the communication network. Therefore, a buoy-based autonomous surface robot-kit with the abilities of sonar-based avoidance, dynamic position control, and static attitude control was developed and is discussed in this paper. The test and evaluation results of this kit show the possibility of real-world applications and the need for additional studies.

Engineering Realization of Full Attitude System Based On GPS Carrier Phase and MEMS IMU

  • This paper describes the design and realization of full attitude system based on MEMS IMU and GPS carrier phase. The work can be divided into two parts: First, initial heading is determined by using two GPS receivers. And this paper discusses the usage of space geometry conditions to reduce the range of ambiguity search. The method presented in this paper was tested on the static. On the static condition, an accuracy better than 0.06 degrees for heading for 3.48m long baseline has been achieved. Integration of GPS and low cost MEMS IMU are used to realize the real-time heading attitude system. Second, level attitude (pitch and roll) is determined using the method of frequency-velocity for the feedback control. At the same time, the method using the attitude based on MEMS IMU to help determination of the range of ambiguity search is proposed. The results done on the sea show that an alternative means to provide real-time, cost-effective, accurate and reliable attitude information for attitude surveys. Though motivated by a big ships application, the design can be applied to other vehicles.

Reaction Wheel Disturbance Reduction Method Using Disturbance Measurement Table

  • Momentum changing actuators like reaction wheels and control moment gyros are generally used for spacecraft attitude control. This type of actuators produces force and torque disturbances. These disturbances must be reduced since they degrade the quality of spacecraft attitude control. Major disturbances are mainly due to static and dynamic imbalances. This paper gives attention to the reduction of the static and dynamic imbalance. Force/torque measurement system is used to measure the disturbance of the test reaction wheel. An identification method for the location and magnitude of the imbalance is suggested, and the corrections of the imbalance are performed using balancing method. Through balancing, the static and dynamic imbalance is remarkably reduced.

주 조절점 핸들링이 편마비 환자의 한발서기 자세적응에 미치는 영향 - 보바스의 신경발달치료 중심 - (The Effect of Key Point Control Handling for One-leg Standing Postural Adaptation in Hemiplegia)

  • This study is aimed at diagnosing transmutation aspect with the respective of hemiplegia patient's static adaptation of posture which is influenced by anti-gravity excercise, center of gravity shifting movement and segmental movement adaption of the legs and arms by key-point control in the process of Bobatli's treatment approach. The patients for the investigation of this study were selected as a total 17 patients who were doing the physical-therapy in Tae-gu Rehabilitation Center, and diagnosed as hemiplegia patients by Rehabilitation Medicine department in Kyung-buk University hospital. And also, there investigated into temporal transition that keep the attitude with one-leg standing on the ground concerning static attitude adaption on the basis of the before of anti-gravity movement and the after of 4-weeks movement. The findings of this study were as follows: With the respective the time to keep standing pose by one-leg at static attitude transmutation, affected side showed meaningful differences as a l.86/sec, 2.62/sec at 4 weeks later considering the before and after of this experiment.(p<0.01), non-affected side at the aspect of attitude keeping time, but there didn't showed meaningful differences statistically.

항공기 자세회복을 위한 자동회복장치 설계 및 검증에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design and Validation of Pilot Activated Recovery System to Recovery of an Aircraft Unusual Attitude)

Also, flight control systems of modem version aircraft employ a safety system to support emergency situations such as a pilot unknown attitude flight conditions of an aircraft in night flight-testing. This situation is dangerous because the aircraft can lose if the pilot not take recognizance of situation. Therefore, automatic recovery system is necessary. The system called the "Pilot Activated Recovery System" or PARS, provided a pilot initiated automatic maneuver capable of an aircraft recoveries in situations of unusual attitudes. This paper addresses the concept of PARS and designed using nonlinear control law design process based on model of supersonic jet trainer. And, this control law is verified by nonlinear analysis and real-time pilot evaluation using in-house software. The result of evaluation reveals that the PARS support recovery of an aircraft unusual attitude and improve a safety of an aircraft.

Flight control systems are necessary to stabilize an unstable aircraft and to provide adequate handling qualities. Also, flight control systems of modern aircraft employ many safety measure to cope with emergency situations such as a pilot unknown attitude flight conditions of an aircraft in night flight-testing. This situation is dangerous because the aircraft can lose if the pilot not take recognizance of situation. The system called the "Pilot Activated Recovery System" or PARS, provided a pilot initiated automatic maneuver capable of an aircraft recoveries in situations of unusual attitudes, speed and altitude. This paper addresses the concept of PARS with AARS(Automatic Attitude Recovery System), ATCS(Automatic Thrust Control System) and MARES(Minimum Altitude Recovery Estimation System), and this control law is designed by nonlinear control law design process based on model of supersonic jet trainer. And, this control law is verified by real-time pilot evaluation using an HQS(Handling Quality Simulator). The result of evaluation reveals that the these systems support recovery of an aircraft unusual attitude and speed, and improve a safety of an aircraft.

구조방정식 모형을 활용한 고등학생의 식품위생인식, 식품위생태도, 개인위생관리 간의 관계 연구 (A Study on the Relationship between Food Hygiene Cognition, Food Hygiene Attitude and Personal Hygiene Control of High School Students based on A Structural Equation Model)

  • 본 연구는 고등학생의 식품위생인식, 식품위생태도와 개인위생관리의 요인 간 관계를 구조방정식 모형 으로 분석하였다. 실증분석을 위해, 2015년 7월 16일부터 10월 15일 까지 충남지역 16개 고등학교의 학년 당 30명씩의 학생들에게 설문지를 배부하여 미회수 및 불충분한 설문지를 제외하고 총 1,214부를 분석하였다. 각각의 측정변수들이 잠재변수(식품위생인식, 식품위생태도와 개인위생관리)를 얼마나 잘 반영하고 있는지 살펴본 결과, 유의수준 0.001 수준에서 통계적으로 유의하게 나타났다. 이는 각각의 개별 측정변수들이 잠재변수를 잘 반영하는 것으로 해석할 수 있다. 또한 잠재 변수들 간의 상관계수는 유의수준 0.01에서 모두 정적 관계로 나타났다. 구조모형의 경로계수를 살펴본 결과, 식품위생인식은 식품위생태도(표준요인 부하랑=0.753)에, 식품위생태도는 개인위생관리(표준요인 부하랑=0.840)에 통계적으로 유의한 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 식품위생인식이 식품위생태도에 영향을 미치고, 이러한 식품위생태도가 개인위생관리에 영향을 미치는 것을 보여주는 결과이다. 본 연구는 식품위생인식이 바로 개인위생관리를 높이지는 않으나, 식품위생태도를 높이고, 식품위생태도는 개인위생관리를 높일 수 있음을 시사한다.

Extraction of Geomagnetic Field from KOMSAT-1 Three-Axis Magnetometer Data

  • The Earth's magnetic field acquired from KOMPSAT-1's TAM (Three-Axis Magnetometer) between June 19th and 21st 2000 was analyzed. The TAM, one of the KOMPSAT-1's Attitude and Orbit Control Subsystems, plays an important role in determining and controlling the satellite's attitude. This also can provide new insight on the Earth's magnetic field. By transforming the satellite coordinate from ECI to ECEF, spherical coordinate of total magnetic field was achieved. These data were grouped into dusk (ascending) and dawn (descending) data sets, based on their local magnetic times. This partitioning is essential for performing 1-D WCA (Wavenumber Correlation Analysis). Also, this enhances the perception of external fields in the Kompsat-1's TAM magnetic maps that were compiled according to different local. The dusk and dawn data are processed independently and then merged to produce a total field magnetic anomaly map. To extract static and dynamic components, the 1-D and 2-D WCAs were applied to the sub-parallel neighboring tracks and dawn-dusk data sets. The static components were compared with the IGRF, the global spherical harmonic magnetic field model. The static and dynamic components were analyzed in terms of corefield, external, and crustal signals based on their origins.

  • 액체로켓엔진 개발 과정에서 중량을 절감하고 구조 신뢰성을 증가시키기 위해서는 엔진 시스템에 대한 구조 해석이 필요하다. 발사체는 비행 중 자세제어를 위해 엔진의 TVC (thrust vector control) 구동기의 변위를 변화시켜 연소기를 회전하여 추력의 방향을 제어한다. 본 연구에서는 연소기 김발을 하는 75톤급 액체 로켓 엔진에 대하여 TVC 구동 전/후의 정적 구조 해석을 수행하고 비교하였다.
