The FoodTech industry has been developed with the rise of start-up by using AI, big data, robotics, biotechnology. In addition, sustainable development is more important with the trend of population growth, aging, and climate change. We investigated the impact of FoodTech on the foodservice industry with the cases of the global and domestic companies. The technology of AI, IoT, blockchain, robotics, automation systems are widely used to improve food safety and hygiene while as the use of diagnostic biomarkers such as blood or DNA, digital platform and app, and AI-based solutions are used in the field of personalized nutrition. With the expand of FoodTech in foodservice industry, the competencies that the managers need to develop include understanding technology, resource management, self-development, work ethics, problem-solving, and communication, therefore the support of the related education and training is required.
According to the research on the gender ratio of furniture design courses at universities, female students account for 70 to 80 percent of the total enrollments. Likewise, other design courses reveal the similar trend. Even though female students want to build up their career in the furniture design or related fields, the figure is not so high. There is a trend that many female designers tend to take time off or quite their jobs after their marriage for that reasons such as pregnancy, childbirth, the upbringing of children and so on. The study also shows that women with higher education feel more difficult to resume their careers after being left from economic activity for a long period; this results in the lower figure of women involved in the specialized jobs than men. In particular, the furniture companies avoid hiring old female designers because they believe that younger candidates are more capable of learning the latest style; therefore, it has become harder for the job seeks to win the competition in the job market. The data released by Statistics Korea in 2015 shows that there was the higher increase in female employees than the figure of the male workers, compared to the previous year. As it can be seen, female workforce was emerged as the new growth power; Nevertheless, the working environment and conditions haven't meet the demands from women despite the gradual rise of female job seekers inspired by their wish to achieve self-realization, gender equality. To conclude, this is to suggest the plans for the foundation and management of small-scale carpentry studios so that women, who have a degree in furniture design studies and wish to resume their careers after their long breaks, start their own carpentry studios so as to reach self-realization and feel satisfied with their work while earning their livelihoods.

Recently, the importance of trademarks as a core resource of corporate competitiveness to protect and differentiate products and services is increasing. Global companies are focusing hard to secure trademark rights to manage brands that reflect their core values and to respond to increasingly frequent trademark disputes, while start-ups and individuals are working hard to secure trademark to run stable businesses and attract investment funds. Meanwhile, this study conducts an empirical analysis to identify the relationship between the brand and business strategy of domestic venture startups. The analysis data used was the response data of 2,230 corporate companies from the 2021 Venture Business Precision Survey, and the propensity score matching method, structural equation model analysis, and binomial logit analysis were used as analysis methods. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that domestic venture startups' trademark ownership does not make a significant difference in terms of the level of business strategy. This was confirmed to be because the brands of domestic venture start-ups mainly advance their business strategies only through the internal competency process, while the advancement of business strategies through the external competency process is very minimal. Meanwhile, it was confirmed that the level of cost advantage strategy among the business strategy levels of venture start-ups strengthens the tendency to hold trademarks, indicating that the higher the completeness of the cost advantage level, the more likely it is to expand trademark ownership for stable sales and supply of products and services through trademark ownership and to convert to high value-added in the future.
In the new era of the 4th industrial revolution, new jobs using the latest technologies such as big data, cloud, IoT, and AI are increasing. In the field of various industries, talents who can converge IT and industrial fields are needed, but such convergence-type talents are insufficient. This study analyzed the effects of IT convergence startup education on the learning effect and educational performance of trainees preparing for re-employment. A survey was conducted with 160 trainees preparing for reemployment. Frequency analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were performed using the analysis tool SPSS 22.0 program. As a result of the study, first, in the IT convergence startup education of trainees who are preparing for re-employment, it was found that the sub-factors such as education content, instructor, and member satisfaction had a positive effect on the learning effect. Second, in the IT convergence start-up education for employment trainees, it was found that the sub-factors such as education contents, instructors, and the satisfaction of learning members had a significant effect on educational performance. It is expected that this study will serve as a basic data for preparing a start-up support system to revitalize start-ups in the IT convergence field.
Research on OECD and Korea have shown that high-growth startups are the keys to job creation and that these companies are very important for economic growth. Given that the large-scale entry of women into the labor force accelerates economic growth and women have far lower levels of participation in growth-oriented entrepreneurship than men do, accelerating female entrepreneurship could have positive effects on the Korean economy. This paper uses data from several databases to do a comparison analysis between women's and men's start-ups to explore the factors that explain the lag in building high-growth firms among women. Women startups make up nearly 34% of startups(defined as less than 7 years of establishment), but only 6% of high-growth startups. Women rarely own large businesses, reflecting their low levels of initial capital and outside financing. Regardless of gender, entrepreneurs face many of the same challenges in starting businesses, but this study shows three primary factors for female entrepreneurs that lead to a less high-growth startup: a greater financing gap than for men(this gap is more apparent for high-growth firms), a lack of ideas, knowledge, and experience(related to the lack of mentorship), and lastly the difficulty maintaining a work-life balance. The findings are very similar with those found in studie's in the US(financing gap, work-life balance, and lack of mentorship). Further studies are required to identify more specific factors behind the gender gap in ideas, knowledge, and experience.
This study was designed to provide the basic data of an effective nutrition education for desirable lifestyle and dietary habits to improve the nutritional status for the elderly by investigating health-related lifestyle, dietary habits, nutritional knowledge, and food intake of the elderly. The subjects included 58 elderly men and 146 elderly women. 35.8% had no more than an elementary school education. Most subjects (54.4%) were widows/widowers. Most subjects (71.0%) made over 150,000 won. 52.5% of subjects lived in houses. Smoking, drinking, exercise, the average sleeping time were significantly difference between the gender (p<0.05). In terms of dietary habits, our results showed that 80.9% of respondent eat regularly meals, including breakfast (83.5%). Both sexes prefer soft and salty food. Women enjoys more spicy and salty food compared with men and then shows meaningful difference (p<0.05). Their favorite meals are soup, stew, salad and boiled vegetables. Compared to women, men have a higher rate of correct answers about questions related to nutrition knowledge as showing significantly difference (p<0.05). In a study of dietary habits, they take in carbohydrates with the highest percentage and following by vegetables and fruits. The amount of meat, first and egg they eat is more than the previously. Eating meat is higher men as showing significant difference (p<0.05). In summary, nutritional status for the elderly shows healthy lifestyle and diet about half of those and most them try to live healthy life in future. It is hope that the elderly may need to learn proper nutrition knowledge for healthy lifestyle and nutrition education and counseling for building up healthy lifestyle and desirable dietary habits. Furthermore, it is necessary to start work to establish a baseline nutritious evaluation for the elderly and at a time to study the development of standard eating tool proven reliability and validity, consequently to provide a basic framework for the evaluation of nutritional status.

Recently, with the retirement of baby boomers, middle-aged and older people's entrepreneurship has become an issue that is receiving attention as a second career. However, existing literature has mainly focused on the entrepreneurial intention or entrepreneurial performance of middle-aged and older people, and above all, there is insufficient understanding of the antecedent factors that make it difficult for middle-aged and older people to start a business. Therefore, this study aimed to explore the effect of middle-aged and older people's indecisiveness preparing for starting a business on their fear of failure in starting a business. In addition, it aimed to verify the effects of public self-awareness and negative external evaluation as antecedent factors that affect the fear of failure of prospective middle-aged and older entrepreneurs. For empirical analysis, a survey was conducted on 221 men and women aged 45 to 64 who were willing to start a business. The results of the empirical analysis showed that indecisiveness significantly affected public self-awareness, negative external evaluation, and fear of failure in starting a business. In addition, public self-awareness and negative external evaluation were confirmed to be related to the fear of failure in starting a business. All hypotheses were supported as a result of the hypothesis verification. The significance of this study lies in the fact that it reinterprets the negative aspects of middle-aged and older adults' indecisiveness and fear of failure in starting a business from a positive perspective, and based on the results of this study, it provides practical implications for resolving the indecisiveness and fear of failure in middle-aged and older adults preparing to start a business.
