It is necessary to predict peak load accurately in order to supply electric power and operate the power system stably. Especially, it is more important to predict peak load accurately in winter and summer because peak load is higher than other seasons. If peak load is predicted to be higher than actual peak load, the start-up costs of power plants would increase. It causes economic loss to the company. On the other hand, if the peak load is predicted to be lower than the actual peak load, blackout may occur due to a lack of power plants capable of generating electricity. Economic losses and blackouts can be prevented by minimizing the prediction error of the peak load. In this paper, the latest deep learning model such as TCN is used to minimize the prediction error of peak load. Even if the same deep learning model is used, there is a difference in performance depending on the hyper-parameters. So, I propose methods for optimizing hyper-parameters of TCN for predicting the peak load. Data from 2006 to 2021 were input into the model and trained, and prediction error was tested using data in 2022. It was confirmed that the performance of the deep learning model optimized by the methods proposed in this study is superior to other deep learning models.

Before the start of the North Borneo Company administration in North Borneo (now Sabah, Malaysia) in 1882, the Timugon Murut of today's interior Tenom District lived in longhouses, and practiced head-hunting during wars with other Murutic ethnic groups. Their economy revolved around swidden agriculture of hill rice, sago, and cassava. Wet rice cultivation and water buffaloes were introduced just before 1885. Wet rice was planted on the alluvial plains around the Pegalan and Padas Rivers, while dry rice was planted on hillside swiddens that had been cleared by slash-and-burn methods. Today, wet rice cultivation and cash-cropping on the plains are the main Timugon socioeconomic activities, while some families also plant dry rice on the hills as a back-up. The Timugon believe that the physical world is surrounded by the spiritual world, and everything was made by the creator Aki Kapuuno'. The focus of this field research paper is on the beliefs and ritual practices of the Timugon connected to their traditional rice agriculture. This study found that for generations, the Timugon believed that since animals were created by Aki Kapuuno' for the wellbeing of humans, various types of animals and birds convey omens to guide people. Thus, the older Timugon rice cultivation is strongly influenced by good and bad omens and taboos, and also involves symbolic practices and ritual offerings to guardian spirits of the rice. After the 1930s and especially since the 1960s, most Timugon became Roman Catholic Christians. Hence, this paper also examines changes in the traditional Timugon rice cultivation related beliefs and practices due to religious conversion and other factors.

Generally a venture capital aims at investment and support Venture businesses that signifies a start-up which has high technologies but frailty of the economy so that raise fund from financial agencies at high risk rate, it has high risk but when the venture businesses launch into general orbit, the venture capital guarantee high-rate profits. Venture capital do not just provide risk capital but also takes a role as a mentor for continuous growth with total consulting service at business and technical management. Also it offers in-depth support to reform the supported enterprise in order to enhance the competitive. Venture capital receives attention for years as a principal agent to be promoted strategically at national level. Bio venture, a major concern of venture capital and one of core industries in Korea, is different from other industries because it needs long-term and large scale of investment. these factors bring about difficulties in an investment and growth. Therefore, it is very important to identify growth and profitability of start-ups and small and venture businesses with long-term appreciation above all other industries. This research analyze management results of bio venture businesses empirically by investment from venture capital. according to the results, bio venture businesses need huge capital and a long gap of time, henceforth, formation of model for growth is necessary with angel investing as well as venture capital. Since, there are not many listed bio venture businesses, significant statistical result would be limited. This research studied at only economic focus but further study need to examine a question from various angles.

Entrepreneurship is a means of improving national competitiveness that can expand the industry quantitatively and qualitatively based on new technologies and ideas. As a result, we are implementing a nationwide initiative support policy around the world. It leads to actual results and grows into a global company. It also has the advantage of being able to produce potential creative people through support for startups. In order to cultivate talented people suitable for startup in Korea, Venture For Korea, the internship program is being carried out with the aim of strengthening basic capabilities and establishing an exchange with existing companies. The purpose of this study is to verify the effectiveness of the system by using justice theory among the interns of the startup internship. In order to improve the accuracy of the study, the survey was done by a complete enumeration and the results were analyzed through Smart PLS 2.0. As a result of the analysis, the distributive justice and interactional justice among the fairness variables have a positive effect on the expectancy effect, and the expectancy effect has a positive effect on the satisfaction. However, procedural justice did not appear to have an effect on expectancy effects. This is because it's been only two years after the start of the internship program, and it seems to reflect the lack of consensus about the process among the stakeholders (enterprise, pre-entrepreneur, the government) related to the system. The results of this study are meaningful in that it deduces the insufficient part of the startup internship based on the justice theory. In other words, in order to increase the policy effect of the startup internship, it is necessary not only to emphasize only the purpose, but also to establish a policy direction complementing the procedural aspect.

The Korean government is attempting to promote technology-based start-ups and venture firms that can lead to new national growth engines being developed. Although government support policies focus on improving survival rates, strategic tools for sustainability management based on a continuing company's assumption are also relevant. Previous studies indicate corporate social responsibility (CSR) as an important strategic tool for the management of corporate sustainability. This research is an exploratory study that seeks to empirically analyze the applicability of such CSR to venture firms. Existing previous studies have been carried out by large companies and surveys, and there are limitations that do not reflect the characteristics of companies. To complement the shortcomings of previous studies and propose practical consequences, this study conducted an empirical analysis using raw data from government approval statistics to identify the growth stages of venture firms. Using the 2018 Survey of Korea Venture Firms, we identified the growth stages of domestic venture firms and used the data envelopment analysis (DEA) to investigate the effect of CSR activities on managerial efficiency. The analysis found that CSR during start-up and early growth cycles did not affect managerial performance. The organization that conducted enthusiastic CSR activities performed better than those that did not perform CSR activities since the rapid growth era. Ultimately, the scale efficiency of venture business was the highest from the rapid growth era when the CSR was not done. This study is a pioneering study that found that after the period of high growth, venture firms' CSR activities can affect managerial performance. Therefore, it is important to advise applicable policies and business decision-makers that CSR practices can be a tactical resource for improving performance of management.

Intensive studies have been focused on conditions for business foundation and the entrepreneurship in light of management, economy, and social psychometrics. This study focused on potential effect of entrepreneurial characteristics on environment for entrepreneurial intentions in establishment of orientation of entrepreneurial intentions. Among various factors affecting on starting small and medium size enterprises, how entrepreneur's personal characteristics is related on entrepreneurial intentions was investigated. Manifest questionnaire was distributed among Venture to the professional graduate students, graduate entrepreneurship, and small business start-educated founders in order to deduce the relationship between the entrepreneurial characteristics and the environment of entrepreneurial Intentions. Previous studies and the literature survey were carried out to support for statistics of the questionnaire. 550 answers were collected and analyzed to find that propensity for achievement, innovation, enterprising, risk taking and creativity are key factors influencing inauguration of an enterprise. We have found that among these, risk taking, creativity, and innovation are analyzed to be as a regression coefficient but enterprising a side regression coefficient. Since this study can find its limitation in that comprehensive fields of entrepreneurship were analyzed in general, the result of this study should be used with caution, until more is known about its accessibility for predicting of success or failure of Start-up Company.

Governments and private companies have established various local entrepreneurial infrastructure institutions in most regions in order to reduce youth unemployment, and boost youth entrepreneurship and regional employment. However, previous studies has been limited to explore the impact of the entrepreneurial infrastructure institutions on the willingness of start-up entrepreneurs. Thus, the main purpose of this study is to fill in the gaps of the research, identify the effect of the entrepreneurial infrastructure institutions on regional employment focusing on the Partner Squares which are entrepreneurial infrastructure institutions in several regions and established by N company, and set a foundation for further research regarding the effectiveness of the entrepreneurial infrastructure institutions. In order to verify the effectiveness of the Partner Squares on the local employment, we use the raw data of the Economically Active Population Survey (Statistics Korea) and analyze the effectiveness by using the Difference-in-Differences model. The main findings are as follows. While the Partner Square Seoul has not statistically influenced on the employment of local youth workers, the Partner Square Busan has increased about 3% of the average number of employees (575 thousand) from May 2017 to July 2019, increasing the number of local youth workers by 17,000. Also, after the establishment of the Partner Square Gwangju, the institution has increased 4,500 local employees, which is about 1.7% of the average number of employees (267,000) from September 2018 to July 2019. This implies that the Partner Squares provide a variety of effective start-up education programs and networks for pre-starters and founders in the region, thereby helping them to grow and boosting the local employment. An important implication is that by using government statistical data, we find roles of entrepreneurial infrastructure institutions to revitalize local economy and employment. In future studies, studies need to be conducted considering various exogenous variables that can affect local employment, such as the government industrial policies and entrepreneurial infrastructure institutions other than the Partner Squares.

This paper is on the policy proposal for venture ecosystem. First, one of the three secrets of the US venture ecosystem is the law of 50:50. Angel capital investment is as important as venture capital investment. Although professional angel investors and accelerators account for as much as VC in the venture ecosystem, they are ignored from policy considerations. We argue that the revision of related law is urgent. Second, large US firms invest more in M&As than in internal R&D. Therefore, accelerators and professional angel investors could make effective investment recovery after investing in a startup company. In other words, angel capital does not come in without secondary market development. Angel capital and secondary markets are the two pillars of the venture ecosystem. The government alone is difficult to develop a secondary market. This is why the private sector should come in and introduce corporate venture capital (CVC). Third, we believe the policy direction for national economic growth should be extended from the startup to scale-up. This is because the startup's sales and job creation will start in five years. While the previous study focused on funding (venture financing), this paper aims to balance all three stages of a venture: startup, growth, and recovery, which are the life cycle of a venture company or venture investment. In particular, we propose specific policies in each chapter to improve practical application.
