  • Active magnetic bearings (AMB's) have become practical in many industrial fields and numbers of studies for magnetic bearing systems have been reported. However, AMB systems are open-loop unstable and thus require feedback control for robust stabilization and performance. In this paper, first, a rotation of the rotor around the inertial axis is considered and a rigorous modeling of a magnetic bearing system in which the rotation of the rotor is on its axis of inertia is developed. Next, to stabilize the AMB system a PID controller is used and experimentally analyze its rotational response.

  • A robust controller for large space structures(LSS) is studied from passivity point of view. While velocity sensors are commonly used for proportional-derivative (PD) control law to stabilize large space structures, if the structure can be controlled without velocity measurements, it is desirable against the failure of velocity sensors and for the cost reduction of the sensing system. In a recent result a dynamic output feedback control law has been provided using only displacement measurements. This paper presents a passivity-based controller design method and provides an alternative stability analysis tool for the previous displacement feedback robust control law. The closed-loop system can be viewed as a feedback interconnection of a passivated large space structure (LSS) and a strictly positive real (SPR) system.

  • 본 논문에서는 시스템 파라미터가 불확실한 일련의 연속시간 대규모 선청 시스템을 안정화하는 문제가 다루어졌다. 제안된 비집중 적응 제어기는 새로운 적웅궤환 제어와 기존의 선형궤환 제어를 결합한 형태로서, 전체 케루프 시스템의 안정을 보장하기 위한 충분조건이 유도되었다. 또, 제안된 방식의 유용성을 보이기 위하여 컴퓨터 모사를 통한 수치예가 제시 되었다.

  • An active control of the lateral vibration of a translating tensioned Euler-Bemoulli beam is investigated. The dynamics of the translating tensioned beam is represented by a non-linear hyperbolic partial differential equation. A right boundary control law based upon the Lyapunov's second method is derived. The transverse motion of the translating tensioned beam is controlled by a time-varying external force besides a passive damping applied at the right boundary. Exponential stability of the closed loop system is proved. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed controller.

  • In this paper, a robust $H\infty$ stabilization problem to a uncertain discrete-time fuzzy systems with time-varying delay via static output feedback is investigated. The Takagi -Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model is employed to represent an uncertain nonlinear systems with time-varying delayed state. Using a single Lyapunov function, the globally asymptotic stability and disturbance attenuation of the closed-loop fuzzy control system are discussed. Sufficient conditions for the existence of robust $H\infty$ controllers are given in terms of linear matrix inequalities.

  • 항공기, 차량, 유도탄 둥과 같은 동적인 플랫폼에서 표적을 추적하기 위해서 시선을 안정화하는 외부의 추적 루프와 내부의 안정화 루프(또는 속도 루프)가 있고, 또한 표적을 추적하기 전 표적을 지향하고 포착하기 위해 김발을 동체에 대해 일정한 각도로 유지하기 위한 위치 루프도가지고 있다. 일반적으로 안정화 루프는 각속도를 측정하기 위한 검출기로 자이로를 사용하고, 위치 루프는 김발각을 제어하기 위한 위치 검출기를 사용한다. 그러나 안정화 루프에 사용되는 자이로는 루프 성능을 최적으로 하기 위해서 고성능/고가의 자이로가 사용되는 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 위치 루프에 사용되는 위치 센서인 리졸버를 사용하여 고성능/고가의 자이로 센서 없이 안정화 루프를 설계하였고, 리졸버를 사용하여 설계된 안정화 루프가 동적인 플랫폼에 사용될 수 있는지 시뮬레이션 결과와 실험 결과를 통해 분석하였다.

인공안구를 위한 팬틸트 구동용 판스프링 설계 (A Design of Pan-tilt Leaf Spring Structure for Artificial Eyeball)

  • The purpose of this study is to design a flexural structure that has a function of pan and tilt for an artificial eyeball. The artificial eyeball system has a function of image stabilization, which compensate panning and tilting vibration of the body on which the artificial eyeball is attached. The target closed loop control bandwidth is 50Hz, so the mechanical resonance frequency is required to be more than the control bandwidth, which is a tough design problem because of a big mass of camera and actuator. In this study, the design process including the selection of the principal parameters by numerical analysis with ANSYS will be described, as well as the design results and frequency response.

  • DTG(dynamically tuned gyroscope) is a sensor detecting disturbance in angle velocity control loop of EOTS(electro optical tracking system), which is used for the stabilization of gimbal. DTG is classified into rate mode or rate integrated mode according to operating mode. In this paper, basic principles and characteristics of DTG, depending on to operating mode, are compared and the model of rate integrated mode DTG is proposed. Also, the validity of the presented model is verified by computer simulations and experiments.

Delay-Dependent Guaranteed Cost Control for Uncertain Neutral Systems with Distributed Delays

  • This paper considers the problem of delay-dependent guaranteed cost controller design for uncertain neutral systems with distributed delays. The system under consideration is subject to norm-bounded time-varying parametric uncertainty appearing in all the matrices of the state-space model. By constructing appropriate Lyapunov functionals and using matrix inequality techniques, a state feedback controller is designed such that the resulting closed-loop system is not only robustly stable but also guarantees an adequate level of performance for all admissible uncertainties. Furthermore, a convex optimization problem is introduced to minimize a specified cost bound. By matrix transformation techniques, the corresponding optimal guaranteed controller can be obtained by solving a linear matrix inequality. Finally, a simulation example is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

  • Simultaneous laser ignition and spectroscopy is a scheme that enables rapid determination of the local equivalence ratio and condensed fuel concentration during a reaction in a two phase spray flame. We have conducted quantitative analysis of the LIBS signals according to the equivalence ratio, droplet size, droplet number density and droplet concentration as a part of novel feedback control strategy proposed for flame ignition and stabilization with simultaneous in situ combustion flow diagnostics. This is a desirable scheme since such real time information onboard an engine for instance can be constantly monitored and fed back to the control loop to enhance the mixing process and minimize emissions of unwanted species and potential combustion instability.
