  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of dot pattern size(0.8, 1.8, 2.5, 5, 8), color combination(BG/R, Y/B), area-ratio on image formation. Sets of stimulus and response scales(7 point semantic) were used as experimental materials. The stimuli were 20 color pictures manipulated with the combination of dot pattern size, color combination, and area-ratio using computer simulation. The subjects were 240 female undergraduates living in Gyeongnam-do. Image factor of the stimulus was composed of 5 different components, visibility, attractiveness, cuteness, stability and high class image. In the cuteness, color combination, dot pattern size showed independent effect. In the stability, area-ratio, dot pattern size showed independent effect. Interaction effects of color and area-ratio combination was significant on cuteness. For visibility image 8cm yellow dot/blue background, for attractiveness image BG/R coloration, for cuteness image Y/B coloration and for stability image 0.8cm yellow dot/blue background were effective. According to the variation of dot pattern size, color combination and area-ratio, it was investigated that the images for a dress wearer were expressed diversely, were shown differently in image dimensions, and could be produced to different images.

  • In this study, a system coupled with the nonlinear dynamic vibration absorber was modelled, and its equation of motion was analized by the harmonic balance method to obtain the amplitude ratio. And also, the stability analysis was done by the Routh Hurwitz method. In the vibration systems coupled with the nonlinear dynamic vibration absorber, the unstable region and the jump phenomenon can be ramarkably affected by the damping ratio. The stable and unstable region that obtained to differential method excellently agreed to the result of the stability analysis of Routh Hurwitz.

  • In this paper, the purpose is to investigate the stability and variation of natural frequency of a Timoshenko cantilever beam subjected to Subtangential follower force and tip mass. In addition, an analysis of the flutter instability(flutter critical follower force) of a cantilever beam as slenderness ratio is investigated. The governing differential equations of a Timoshenko beam subjected to an end tangential follower force is derived via Hamilton;s principle. The two coupled governing differential equations are reduced to one fourth order ordinary differential equation in terms of the flexural displacement. Finally, the influence of the slenderness ratio and tip mass on the critical follower force and the natural frequency of a Timoshenko beam are investigated.

  • In this paper the purpose is to investigate the stability and variation of natural frequency of a cracked Timoshenko cantilever beams subjected to subtangential follower force. In addition, an analysis of the stability of a cantilever beam as the crack effect and slenderness ratio is investigated. The governing differential equations of a Timoshenko beam subjected to an end tangential follower force are derived via Hamilton's principle. The two coupled governing differential equations are reduced to one fourth order ordinary differential equation in terms of the flexural displacement. By using the results of this paper, we can obtain the judgment base that the choice of beam models for the effect of slenderness ratio and crack.

  • The dynamic stability of classical plates and Mindlin plates subjected to pulsating follower forces is investigated in this paper. Using the finite element method, the induced equation is reduced to that of one with finite degrees of freedom. Then, the multiple scales method is applied to analyze the dynamic instability region. The effects of aspect ratio, Poisson ratio, rotary inertia and shear deformation on the dynamic stability of plates are studied in this paper.

  • A position of small and medium size business is increasing in the national economic. On the other hand, there are many difficulties in the small and medium size business. The most difficult problem is the financial supply for the small and medium size business. This study is analzing the financial stability ratios of the small and medium size business in comparision with financial ratios of a large enterprise and industrial average ratio. As the result, the degree of financial stability ratio of small and medium size business is lower than industrial standard ratio. While the degree of financial stability and liquidity ratios of the small and medium size business is higher than industry average ratio. the degree of dependence of borrowing of the small and medium size business is lower. Therefore, it is necessary for nation and administration organization to supply financing for the small and medium size business.

  • The effect of a reactant ratio on the growth of a buoyancy-driven instability in an irreversible A+B→C reaction system is analyzed theoretically and numerically. Taking a non-stoichiometric reactant ratio into account, new linear stability equations are derived without the quasi-steady state assumption (QSSA) and solved analytically. It is found that the main parameters to explain the present system are the Damköhler number, the dimensionless density difference of chemical species and the ratio of reactants. The present initial grow rate analysis without QSSA shows that the system is initially unconditionally stable regardless of the parameter values; however, the previous initial growth rate analysis based on the QSSA predicted the system is unstable if the system is physically unstable. For time evolving cases, the present growth rates obtained from the spectral analysis and pseudo-spectral method support each other, but quite differently from that obtained under the conventional QSSA. Adopting the result of the linear stability analysis as an initial condition, fully nonlinear direct numerical simulations are conducted. Both the linear analysis and the nonlinear simulation show that the reactant ratio plays an important role in the onset and the growth of the instability motion.

  • The main concern of this paper is to study the dynamics of an n-dimensional ratio-dependent predator-prey system with diffusion. We study the dissipativeness, persistence of the system and it is shown that the unique positive constant steady state is globally asymptotically stable under some assumptions.

  • This paper deals with the problem of a ratio-dependent prey- predator model with combined harvesting. The existence of steady states and their stability are studied using eigenvalue analysis. Boundedness of the exploited system is examined. We derive conditions for persistence and global stability of the system. The possibility of existence of bionomic equilibria has been considered. The problem of optimal harvest policy is then solved by using Pontryagin's maximal principle.
