소형 어선에서 육상용기관의 효율적인 이용방법에 대한 연구 (A Study on Efficient Methods of Using Land Engine in the Small Fishing Vessel)

  • A study on the performance and exhaust emissions of diesel engine with reducing exhaust gas temperature is performed experimentally. In this paper, experiments are performed at engine speed 2200rpm, 2600rpm and load 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% by test engine with F.W. cooler passing through exhaust gas. Main measured & analyzed parameters are exhaust gas temperature, specific fuel consumption, NOx and soot emissions etc. The obtained conclusions are as follows. (1) Specific fuel consumption is the least value at load 75% and it is decreased 1.5% after remodeling F.W. cooler. (2) NOx emission is the most value at load 100% and it is increased 30.1% after remodeling F.W. cooler. (3) Soot emission is the most value at load 100% and it is decreased 20.0% after remodeling F.W. cooler.

Low-Power Bus Architecture Composition for AMBA AXI

  • A system-on-a-chip communication architecture has a significant impact on the performance and power consumption of modern multi-processors system-on-chips (MPSoCs). However, customization of such architecture for a specific application requires the exploration of a large design space. Thus, system designers need tools to rapidly explore and evaluate communication architectures. In this paper we present the method for application-specific low-power bus architecture synthesis at system-level. Our paper has two contributions. First, we build a bus power model of AMBA AXI bus communication architecture. Second, we incorporate this power model into a low-power architecture exploration algorithm that enables system designers to rapidly explore the target bus architecture. The proposed exploration algorithm reduces power consumption by 20.1% compared to a maximally connected reduced matrix, and the area is also reduced by 20.2% compared to the maximally connected reduced matrix.

  • In order to employ factorial design on electronically-controlled diesel engine, effects of 5 factors on specific fuel consumption, nitrogen oxides and carbon monoxide were examined by fractional and full factorial design in this research. There were different results between fractional and full factorial design, then effect of variables as ambient condition and measurement of fuel consumption were confirmed. It was shown that ambient condition affected uniformly trend of nitrogen oxides and carbon monoxide. However, both ambient condition and measurement of fuel consumption had nothing to do with trend of specific fuel consumption and therefore it must be careful to employ factorial design on specific fuel consumption as response.

Extrusion Cooking처리가 미당(米糖)에 함유하는 비타민의 잔존율에 미치는 영향 (Vitamin Retention in Rice Bran during Extrusion Cooking)

  • 미강(쌀겨)의 유지, 단백질 및 vitamin을 효과적으로 활용하기 위한 연구로서, 미강(수분함량 9.5% 및 15. 6%)을 extrusion cooking 처리장치로서 주어진 specific dower consumption ($42.1{\sim}67.9w/kg$범위)extrusion temperature ($99{\sim}135^{\circ}C$범위) 조건에서 extrusion cooking하여, 미강이 함유하고 있는 thiamine, riboflavin 및 niacin의 잔동율에 관하여 연구한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 미강에 함유되어 있는 thiamine, riboflavin 및 niacin의 잔존율은 extrusion cooking 처리시의 원료수분함량에 영향을 받으며, 수분함량이 많으면 적은 specific power consumption 및 낮은 extrusion temperature에서도 이들 vitamin의 파괴현상이 더 일어난다. 동등한 수분함량의 원료미강을 extrusion cooking 처리할 때, specific power consumption이 커질수록 그리고 extrusion temperature가 높을수록 이들 vitamin의 잔존율이 저하된다. 그리고 전extrusion cooking 조건에서 thiamine은 $89.9{\sim}97.0%$, riboflavin은 $83.4{\sim}97.3%$, niacin은 94.0%. riboflavin은 $83.4%{\sim}97.3%$ 그리고 niacin은 $94.0{\sim}97.7%$의 잔존율을 보이므로써, 전반적으로 순간고온압출공정인 extrusion cooking이. 가열처리보다 높은 vitamin 잔존율을 나타내고 있었다.

  • 항공기에 사용되는 보조동력장치는 주연료(JP-8) 뿐 아니라 비상시 운용을 위하여 규정된 비상연료를 사용하여 운용이 가능하여야 한다. 이러한 요구조건을 입증하기 위하여 상용 디젤유에 대하여 비상연료 시험을 수행하였다. 디젤유의 경우, 시험 전, 후 부하조건에 따른 비연료소모율의 차이는 3.5%~7.8%로 요구조건을 만족하였다. 주연료와 비교하여 디젤유 적용에 따른 시동특성은 유사하였다. 비연료소모율은 부하조건의 변화에 따라 주연료 대비 2.0%~3.4%의 차이가 발생하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 참고문헌[1] 논문에서 제안한 고유의 링크 스케줄링 방법이 적용된 IEEE802.15.4e TSCH (Time-Slotted Channel Hopping)의 전력 소비 측면에서 절감 능력을 기존 단일채널 IEEE802.15.4와 비교하여 분석한다. TSCH 방식이 기존 방식에 비해 어떤 트래픽 조건하에서도 전력소모가 적게 하는 것으로 나타난다. 그 이유는 첫째, 충돌이 발생하지 않는 스케줄링 방식으로 인해 백오프 시간이 없다는 점과 둘째, MAC 오프셋 시간변수들의 차이로 인한 것으로 판단된다. 마지막으로 TSCH에서는 디바이스들은 자신의 스케줄이 아닌 타임 슬롯 동안은 sleep을 통해 전력 소모를 줄일 수 있음을 볼 수 있다.

  • This study was carried out to develop an engine for off-road vehicles especially for farm tractors using the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) which is known as a source of energy having good potential of substitute fuel for diesel engine because of its economical advantage and low pollutant materials after combustion. The study was focused on develop an engine of high in specific power output, low in specific fuel consumption and emission of pollutants. A series of teat was dope on the engine - various laboratory tests to analyze performance of the engine and actual field tests with the engine installed on a farm tractor as a power source.

Power Efficient Classification Method for Sensor Nodes in BSN Based ECG Monitoring System

  • As body sensor network (BSN) research becomes mature, the need for managing power consumption of sensor nodes has become evident since most of the applications are designed for continuous monitoring. Real time Electrocardiograph (ECG) analysis on sensor nodes is proposed as an optimal choice for saving power consumption by reducing data transmission overhead. Smart sensor nodes with the ability to categorize lately detected ECG cycles communicate with base station only when ECG cycles are classified as abnormal. In this paper, ECG classification algorithms are described, which categorize detected ECG cycles as normal or abnormal, or even more specific cardiac diseases. Our Euclidean distance (ED) based classification method is validated to be most power efficient and very accurate in determining normal or abnormal ECG cycles. A close comparison of power efficiency and classification accuracy between our ED classification algorithm and generalized linear model (GLM) based classification algorithm is provided. Through experiments we show that, CPU cycle power consumption of ED based classification algorithm can be reduced by 31.21% and overall power consumption can be reduced by 13.63% at most when compared with GLM based method. The accuracy of detecting NSR, APC, PVC, SVT, VT, and VF using GLM based method range from 55% to 99% meanwhile, we show that the accuracy of detecting normal and abnormal ECG cycles using our ED based method is higher than 86%.

저전력 무선 센서네트워크를 위한 비터비 알고리즘의 적용 및 분석 (Analysis of Viterbi Algorithm for Low-power Wireless Sensor Network)

  • 한정된 배터리 전원을 사용하는 무선 센서 네트워크에서 노드의 수명유지를 위해 전력 소모량은 매우 중요한 문제이다. 전력소모를 줄이기 위해 저전력 RF 통신을 사용함으로써 무선 센서 네트워크의 에러 발생률이 증가하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 무선 센서 네트워크의 오류 정정 부호 사용과 그에 따른 전력 소모량을 분석하였다. 오류 정정 부호는 변 복조 과정에서 소모되는 저려 소모가 있지만, 부호화 이득을 통해 전송 에너지를 절약할 수 있다. 센서 노드의 특성상 전송 에너지는 프로세서의 계사에 소모되는 에너지보다 큰 비중을 차지하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 낮은 전송 전력으로 전송한 데이터를 짧은 구속장의 Viterbi 알고리즘을 적용하여 오류 정정을 할 경우 단순한 ARQ(Auto Repeat Request) 방식을 사용할 경우보다 최대 20%의 재전송 횟수의 감소와 18%의 전력 소모의 감소를 분석하였다.

A STUDY ON THE PERFORMANCE AND EMISSIONS CHARACTERISTICS OF SPARK IGNITION ENGINE FUELLED WITH ETHANOL GASOLINE BLENDED FUEL

  • This paper presents the influences of ethanol addition to gasoline on bench test a spark ignition engine performances and emissions characteristics. The use of ethanol gasoline blended fuels decrease the brake power and brake torque, and increases the brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC). Ethanol gasoline blended fuels show lower brake torque and brake power and higher BSFC than gasoline. When ethanol containing oxygen is blended with gasoline, the combustion of the engine becomes better and therefore CO emission is reduced. HC emissions decrease to some extent as ethanol added to gasoline increase, as the percentage of ethanol in the blends increased, NOx emission was decreased under various engine speeds.
