VANET (Vehicular Ad hoc NETwork) is one of the special cases of the ad hoc networks in which car nodes communicate with each other and/or with RSUs (Road Side Unit) in order for the drivers to receive nearby road traffic information as well as for the passengers to retrieve nearby gas price or hotel information. In case of constructing VANET over CCN, users do not need to specify a destination server address rather to input a key word such as nearby congestion in order to gather surrounding traffic congestion information. Furthermore, each car node caches its retrieved data for forwarding other nodes when requested. In addition, the data transmission is inherently multicast, which implies fast data propagation to the participating car nodes. This paper measures and evaluates the data transmission performance of the VCCN (VANET over CCN) in which nodes are equipped with diverse wireless communication channels. The simulation result indicates that 802.11a shows the best performance of the data transmission against other wireless channels. Moreover, it indicates that VCCN improves overall data transmission and provides benefit to the nodes that request the same traffic information by exploiting inherent multicast communication.
In this paper, we proposed TASL-MAC, a medium-access control (MAC) protocol for wireless sensor networks. In wireless sensor networks, sensor nodes are usually deployed in a special environment, are assigned with long-term work, and are supported by a limited battery. As such, reducing the energy consumption becomes the primary concern with regard to wireless sensor networks. At the same time, reducing the latency in multi-hop data transmission is also very important. In the existing research, sensor nodes are expected to be switched to the sleep mode in order to reduce energy consumption. However, the existing proposals tended to assign the sensors with a fixed Sleep/Listening schedule, which causes unnecessary idle listening problems and conspicuous transmission latency due to the diversity of the traffic-load in the network. TASL-MAC is designed to dynamically adjust the duty listening time based on traffic load. This protocol enables the node with a proper data transfer rate to satisfy the application's requirements. Meanwhile, it can lead to much greater power efficiency by prolonging the nodes' sleeping time when the traffic. We evaluate our implementation of TASL-MAC in NS-2. The evaluation result indicates that our proposal could explicitly reduce packet delivery latency, and that it could also significantly prolong the lifetime of the entire network when traffic is low.
Variable-node finite element families, termed (4 + k + l + m + n)-node elements with an arbitrary number of nodes (k, l, m, and n) on each of their edges, are developed based on the generic point interpolation with special bases having slope discontinuities in two-dimensional domains. They retain the linear interpolation between any two neighboring nodes, and passes the standard patch test when subdomain-wise $2{\times}2$ Gauss integration is employed. Their shape functions are automatically generated on the master domain of elements although a certain number of nodes are inserted on their edges. The elements can provide a flexibility to resolve nonmatching mesh problems like mesh connection and adaptive mesh refinement. In the case of adaptive mesh refinement problem, so-called "1-irregular node rule" working as a constraint in performing mesh adaptation is relaxed by adopting the variable-node elements. Through several examples, we show the performance of the variable-node finite elements in terms of accuracy and efficiency.

Mobile Ad hoc NETworks (MANETs) are the best choice when mobility, scalability, and decentralized network infrastructure are needed. Because of critical mission applications of MANETs, network security is the vital requirement. Most routing protocols in MANETs assume that every node in the network is trustworthy. However, due to the open medium, the wide distribution, and the lack of nodes' physical protection, attackers can easily compromise MANETs by inserting misbehaving nodes into the network that make blackhole attacks. Previous research to detect the misbehaving nodes in MANETs used the overhearing methods, or additional ACKnowledgement (ACK) packets to confirm the reception of data packets. In this paper a special lightweight acknowledgement-based method is developed that, contrary to existing methods, it uses ACK packets of MAC layer instead of adding new ACK packets to the network layer for confirmations. In fact, this novel method, named PIGACK, uses ACK packets of MAC 802.11 to piggyback confirmations from a receiver to a sender in the same transmission duration that the sender sends a data packet to the receiver. Analytical and simulation results show that the proposed method considerably decreases the network overhead and increases the packet delivery ratio compared to the well-known method (2ACK).
Toll-like receptors (TLRs) can recognize conserved molecular patterns and initiate a wide range of innate and adaptive immune responses against invading infectious agents. The aim of this study was to assess the transcript profile of mink TLRs (mTLRs) in mink peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and a range of tissues, and to explore the potential role of mTLRs in the antiviral immune response process. The results indicated that the mTLR partial nucleotide sequences had a high degree of nucleotide identity with ferret sequences (95-98%). Phylogenetic analysis showed that mammalian TLRs grouped into five TLR families, with a closer relationship of the mTLRs with those of ferret than the other mammalian sequences. Moreover, all the mTLRs were ubiquitously expressed in lymphoid organs (spleen and lymph nodes) and PBMCs. Interestingly, the mTLR expression patterns in lung, uterus, and heart showed quite a lot of similarity. Another remarkable observation was the wide expression of mTLR1-3 mRNAs in all tissues. Among the analyzed tissues, skeletal muscle was revealed to being the lowest repertoire of mTLR expression. Additionally, mink PBMCs exposed to the canine distemper virus revealed significant upregulation of mTLR2, mTLR4, mTLR7, and mTLR8 mRNAs, indicating that mTLRs have a role in innate immunity in the mink. Collectively, our results are the first to establish the basic expression patterns of mTLRs and the relationship between mTLRs and a virus, which will contribute to better understanding of the evolution and the functions of mTLRs in the innate immune system in minks.

Ad Hoc network is a special wireless network, mainly because the nodes are no control center, the topology is flexible, and the networking could be established quickly, which results the transmission stability is lower than other types of networks. In order to guarantee the transmission of data packets in the network effectively, an improved Queue Ad Hoc On-demand Distance Vector Routing protocol (Q-AODV) for node detection by using blockchain technology is proposed. In the route search process. Firstly, according to the node's daily communication record the cluster is formed by the source node using the smart contract and gradually extends to the path detection. Then the best optional path nodes are chained in the form of Merkle tree. Finally, the best path is chosen on the blockchain. Simulation experiments show that the stability of Q-AODV protocol is higher than the AODV protocol or the Dynamic Source Routing (DSR) protocol.

ZigBee network, based on PHY, MAC layer provides a specification for a suite of high level communication protocols using small, low-power digital radio based on an IEEE 802.15.4 standard. Meshing is a type of daisy chaining from one device to another. This technique allows the short range of an individual node to be expanded and multiplied, covering a much larger area. Each wireless technology that makes it to market serves a special purpose or function. Zigbee provides short-range connectivity in what is called a personal-area network (PAN). Within ZigBee PAN coordinator as manages an entire ZigBee network, the short range of frequency band was only selected because the technology allows typically less than 100 kbp or ZigBee troubles in retransmission processing and delaying data tranmission works to create unproductive condition of work. This research was proposed the method, based on short range frequency of zigBee nodes enable to long range of remote data transmission with specific algorithm tools.
It is difficult that a non-translational motion in a block is estimated by the block matching algorithm (BMA). In this paper, a nodal-displacement-based deformation model is used for this reason. This model assumes that a selected number of control nodes move freely in a block and that displacement of any interior point can be interpolated from nodal displacements. As a special case with a single node this model is equivalent to a translational model. And this model can represent more complex deformation using more nodes. We used an iterative gradient based search algorithm to estimate nodal displacement. Each iteration involves the solution of a simple linear equation. This method is called the deformable block matching algorithm (DBMA).
Localization system is an important problem for Wireless Sensor Networks(WSN). Since the sensor nodes are limited, the range-based that uses the special device for localization is unsuitable in WSN. DV-Hop is one of the range-free localization algorithm using hop-distance and number of hop count. But Its disadvantage is that it spend large communication cost in scalable sensor nodes. We propose a simple algorithm to reduce the communication cost, using the smallest number of hop count.
In this paper, we deal with an inverse problem for electrical resistor networks to detect the location of nodes where an extraordinary currents ow into or out of the nodes proportional to the potentials on them. To achieve the goal, we solve a special type of mixed boundary value problem for Laplace equations with potential terms on rectangular networks which plays a role as a forward problem. Then we solve an inverse problem to develop an algorithm to locate the node where the extraordinary current flows on it at most four times of measurements of potential and current on its boundary.
