  • This paper concerns the development of the transformer that can reduce harmonics supplied to the system if the output of photovoltaic inverter in the photovoltaic system is grid-connected, and suggests that problems of harmonics and power factor degradation in the grid-connected photovoltaic system can be improved. In this study, the burden of increasing the investment in new facilities and securing their installation space due to harmonics has been substantially eased through the development of a hybrid transformer possessing unbalanced function and harmonics reduction function using zig-zag coils, and most of all, it is expected that the development of such high efficiency hybrid transformer possessing functions of transformation and reducing harmonics can improve the power quality as well as prevent damages caused by harmonics, leading to suppress unnecessary loss of electric power and thereby contribute to energy savings.

  • 인공위성은 주차궤도(parking orbit)에서 최종궤도(final orbit)에 진입시키기 위해서는 많은 연료가 소모되고 또한 잔여 연료는 위성의 수명을 좌우하므로 궤도전이에 사용되는 연료의 효율을 극대화시키기 위한 한 가지 일환으로 지구의 비대칭 중력장이 궤도전이에 미치는 효과에 대하여 연구해 보았다. 주차궤도는 매우 낮은 고도에 위치하고 있으므로 지구의 비대칭 중력은 주차궤도로부터 최종궤도로 진입하기 위한 전이궤도(transfer orbit)에 비교적 커다란 영향을 미친다. 이러한 영향을 알아보기 위해 6가지 궤도요소 중에서 위성의 고도에 직접 관련이 있는 궤도의 이심률과 반장경의 변화를 토대로 위성의 고도와 속도의 변화량을 알아보았다. 그 결과 전이궤도의 원지점은 비대칭 중력장의 섭동으로 인해 고도가 증가하게 되고, 고도가 증가함에 따라 원지점에서의 속도는 감소하게 된다. 따라서 지구 비대칭 중력을 고려했을 경우에는 그렇지 않은 경우보다 연료의 소모가 적은 것으로 나타났다.

  • In this paper, the electrical angle between two winding axes in the stator of the capacitor motor is put optional angle, deviding the space harmonics in its magnetic field of two windings and the leakage flux into the forward revolving field and the backward one by the revolving-field theory, its equivalent circuit which consider mutual induction between two windings is depicted. In the depicted equivalent circuit, the rotor resistance for the fundamental flux is devided into the resistance for the rotor bar and endring, and the rotor leakage reactance for the fundamental is devided into the skew leadage reactance and the other, and each circuit constants for each harmonics is expressed in terms of the circuit constants for the fundamental, so it mades easy to determine the characteristics for the capacitor motor. As the circuit constant ratios to the magnetizing reactance of the fundamental are used, motors which have same circuit constant ratios should be resembled in their characteristics.

  • 지구의 중력장 중에서 비대칭 중력장이 정지위성의 궤도요소에 미치는 섭동을 계산하였다. 지구의 비대칭 중력장(non-zonal geopotential)에 의한 섭동이 인공위성의 궤도요소에 미츤 영향은 $J_2$항 또는 Luni-Solar섭동에 의한 영향보다는 작지만, 이 지구 비대칭 중력장 함수에는 sine값이 1이 되는 강한 공명항이 존재한다. 따라서 지구의 비대칭 중력장 중 이러한 공명항에 의한 정지위성의 궤도요소 변화를 구하였다. 지구의 비대칭 중력장에 의해서 섭동을 받는 궤도 이심률의 변화를 $e_c$$e_s$의 위상면상에서 나타냈고, 평균경도($L_c$)와 궤도 반장경(a)에 대한 변화양상도 구하였다.

  • Many harmonics components are contained within the stator currents of the high-speed synchronous reluctance motor, SynRM, with salient pole rotor. They cause the power factor of SynRM to get worse. In this paper, the mathematical model of SynRM is investigated, and SV_PWM control method is applied to reduce harmonics components in the stator current. Simulation results show the fast response of speed and the reduction of harmonics components at steady state.

  • The fractional slot windings are widely used in rotating machine in order to increase the flexibility of design and improve the voltage waveform. However, the MMF wave of fractional-slot windings are found to contain unique harmonic component, which are designated as even order space flux harmonics, fractional number flux harmonics, or both. They may cause stray loss and stator core vibration. This paper proposes new winding methods "novel interspersed windings" and "expanded group windings" to reduce these harmonics. The advantages of two proposed windings are verified by using numerical analysis and measurement test of winding model.

고주파자속을 고려한 단순상유도전동기의 해석 (Analysis of Single-phase Induction Motor Having Space Harmonics in Its Magnetic Field)

  • In this paper, the characteristics of a single phase induction motor which is considered the space harmonic flux by the double revolving field theory is analysed. As the rotor resistance for the fundamental flux is separated from the resistance for the rotor bar and end-ring, and the rotor leakage reactnace is separated from the skew leakage reactance and the other, so the circuit constants for the space harmonic flux is expressed by the circuit constants for the fundamentals. As the ratio of the circuit constants for the magnetizing reactance is used, the generalized equivalent circuit is made up. the characteristic equation which is able to analysis the subdivided characteristics by the above circuit is induced. The ratio of the circuit constants and the skew angle being changed, the variations of the torque-speed characteristics for the fundamentals and harmonics is examined by this equation.

  • This paper treats the optimization of rotor construction in the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) for electric vehicle (EV). While the field system of PMSM has generally one magnet per pole, we replace the magnet into plural sub-magnets. The dimensions of each sub-magnet are determined by the concept of pulse width modulation (PWM). By adopting the proposed rotor construction, we can not only reduce the space harmonics of the air-gap field but also provide space for rotor bars (i.e., damper windings) around the direct-axis. From the investigation by hybrid EE-BE (coupled finite element and boundary element) method coupled with both electric circuit and motion equation, we verify that the construction is effective for practical use.

  • This paper presents a new technique of reference current generator based on Kalman filter (KF) estimator for three-phase shunt active power filter (APF). The stationary reference frame (d-q algorithm) is used to transform the load currents into DC component. The harmonics of load currents are extracted and the three-phase reference currents are generated using KF estimator. The work is simulated using Matlab/Simulink platform. To validate the simulation results, an experimental test-rig have been perform using real-time control dSPACE DS1104. In addition, hysteresis current control was used to generate the switching signal for the correction of the harmonics in the system. The non-linear load were constructed with three-phase rectifier which connected in series with inductor and parallel with resistor and capacitor. The results shows that the new technique of shunt APF embedded with KF is proven to eliminate the harmonics created by the non-linear load with some improvement on the total harmonics distortion (THD).

Evaluating High-Degree-and-Order Gravitational Harmonics and its Application to the State Predictions of a Lunar Orbiting Satellite

  • In this work, an efficient method with which to evaluate the high-degree-and-order gravitational harmonics of the non-sphericity of a central body is described and applied to state predictions of a lunar orbiter. Unlike the work of Song et al. (2010), which used a conventional computation method to process gravitational harmonic coefficients, the current work adapted a well-known recursion formula that directly uses fully normalized associated Legendre functions to compute the acceleration due to the non-sphericity of the moon. With the formulated algorithms, the states of a lunar orbiting satellite are predicted and its performance is validated in comparisons with solutions obtained from STK/Astrogator. The predicted differences in the orbital states between STK/Astrogator and the current work all remain at a position of less than 1 m with velocity accuracy levels of less than 1 mm/s, even with different orbital inclinations. The effectiveness of the current algorithm, in terms of both the computation time and the degree of accuracy degradation, is also shown in comparisons with results obtained from earlier work. It is expected that the proposed algorithm can be used as a foundation for the development of an operational flight dynamics subsystem for future lunar exploration missions by Korea. It can also be used to analyze missions which require very close operations to the moon.
