일본 농촌주택의 현대화에 의한 평면변화에 관한 연구 - 일본(日本) 기옥현 궁대정(宮代町)을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Plan Change in Japan Rural House by the Modernization - Focused on the Miyashiro in Saitama pref., Japan -)

  • A house is basic unit of human being living space and it reflects an occupation, family relation, a life style and sense of value of resident. To analyze of modernization process the rural house in Japan diversely and systematically, this study examined the elements and characteristics of changing floor plan in house through field studies and residential interviewing about the rural house of Miyashiro, Saitama pref. in Japan. The results of this study are as follow. First, the traditional TANOJI type changed into NAKAROUKA and TSUZUKIMA type on modernizing process. Second, Toma is an important space of farmhouse. It is succeeded with the element, which is the possibility of knowing the remnant of traditional element from modern rural house. Third, the cause of changing floor plan is a narrow and small space by growth of children. That is the most factor of changing house deterioration of equipments and necessity of children's space.

레스토랑 디자인에 나타난 문화적 정체성 표현특성과 영향인자에 대한 연구 - 상해 소재 중식레스토랑을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Cultural Identity Expression Characteristics and Influencing Factors of Restaurant Design - Focused on Chinese Restaurant in Sang hai -)

  • The purposes of this study were to examine the characteristics of elements composing the cultural identity of Chinese architectural and spatial design, and to analyze the expression characteristics and influencing factors of contemporary restaurant design. With these purposes, first, this study reviewed related literature in order to find the characteristics of tangible elements observed in intangible elements and space expression characteristics forming the cultural identity of China. Second, this study conducted a case study in order to understand the expression characteristics of the design of Chinese restaurants in Shanghai and to find factors influencing the design. In order to sample the subjects of the case study, the researcher selected 18 restaurants that were recommended repeatedly in books on Chinese restaurants and tourism and major Internet sites or highly evaluated by visitors, and then choose 15 of them that were found to be fit for the purpose of the survey. According to the result of the survey, the restaurants were largely grouped by type into 10 cases of fine dining, 3 of middle-class casual dining, 1 of fast food, and 1 of luxury tea house serving traditional tea and snacks. Of these restaurants, 46.7% (7 cases) were of CM-CM-CM type, namely, using contemporary simple elements in all of external spaces, indoor spaces, and decorations, 20% (3 cases) were of CM-CM-CT type, using contemporary and simple external and indoor spaces, and traditional furniture or articles, 20% (3 cases) were of CT-CM-CT type, using traditional external spaces such as traditional buildings, contemporary simple finishing of indoor spaces, and traditional articles such as palace lanterns and traditional doors and windows, and 13.3% (2 cases) were of CT-CT-CT type, using traditional elements in their original forms in general. Through this research and survey, cultural identity showing Chinese traditions observed in the expression characteristics of restaurant spatial designs was confirmed, and it was also found that the identity was underlain by ideologies, values, lifestyles, etc. that had long accumulated through the long history of the country and exerted a great influence.

Automatic space type classification of architectural BIM models using Graph Convolutional Networks

  • The instantiation of spaces as a discrete entity allows users to utilize BIM models in a wide range of analyses. However, in practice, their utility has been limited as spaces are erroneously entered due to human error and often omitted entirely. Recent studies attempted to automate space allocation using artificial intelligence approaches. However, there has been limited success as most studies focused solely on the use of geometric features to distinguish spaces. In this study, in addition to geometric features, semantic relations between spaces and elements were modeled and used to improve space classification in BIM models. Graph Convolutional Networks (GCN), a deep learning algorithm specifically tailored for learning in graphs, was deployed to classify spaces via a similarity graph that represents the relationships between spaces and their surrounding elements. Results confirmed that accuracy (ACC) was +0.08 higher than the baseline model in which only geometric information was used. Most notably, GCN was able to correctly distinguish spaces with no apparent difference in geometry by discriminating the specific elements that were provided by the similarity graph.

  • Optimal design of fault-tolerant, spatial type maniplators is treated in this paper. Design objective is to guarantte three degree-of-freedom translational motions in the task space, upon failure of one arbitrary joint of 4 degree-of -freedom manipulators. Realizing the nonfault-tolerant characteristics of current, wrist-type industrial manipulators, several 4 degree-of-freedom redundant structures with one joint redundancy are suggested as the fault-tolerant spatial -type manipulators. Fault-tolerant charactersitics are investigated basedon the analysis of the self-motion and the null-space elements, of a redundant manipulator. Finally, in order to maximize the fault-tolerant capability,optimal design is performed for a spatial-type manipulator with respect to the global isotropic index, and the performance enhancement of the optimized case is shown by simulation.

  • Optimal design of fault-tolerant, spatial type redundant manipulators is treated in this paper. The Chemical Composition of V1719 Cyg: δ Scuti Type Star without the Accretion of Interstellar Matter

  • High resolution spectroscopic observation of V1719 Cyg were made at 1.8 meter telescope of Bohyunsan Optical Astronomy observatory in Korea. Spectral resolving power was R=45,000, signal to noise ratio S/N>100. The abundances of 28 chemical elements from carbon to dysprosium were found with the spectrum synthesis method. The abundances of oxygen, titanium, vanadium and elements with Z>30 are overabundant by 0.2-0.9 dex with respect to the solar values. Correlations of derived abundances with condensation temperatures and second ionization potentials of these elements are discussed. The possible influence of accretion from interstellar environment is not so strong as for ρ Pup and other stars with similar temperatures. The signs of accretion are absent. The comparison of chemical composition with solar system r- & s-process abundance patterns shows the enhancement of the photosphere by s-process elements.

공공도서관 디지털자료실의 공간계획요소별 디자인특성 연구 (A Study on the Design Characteristics of Multimedia Center in Public Library by Space Planning Elements)

  • A public library is changing into a place where people can freely acquire and make use of information in digital environment with the basic ideology of publicity. In spite of such changes, multimedia center is still biased with the function of computer room to use PC and is not used actively by many users. This study can be summarized and concluded as follows and spatial characteristics of digital data room of public library can make use of space planning elements by aspects as an analysis tool. First, designed characteristics focusing too much on the possession of seats for reading digital data. Therefore, spatial planning for users to choose necessary facilities according to the data they wish to read and type of users is needed. Second, interior tone of multimedia center is applied with identical color for all floors, walls, and ceilings, to create sense of unification. However, due to the arrangement of similar colors, while using identical brightness and chroma, some users felt difficult to realize shape or depth in space. It is more appropriate to apply distinctive color plan according to the characteristic of the data or space region, in order to create pleasant digital environment for visually weaker people or elderly. Third, psychological or technical factors of multimedia center is not sufficiently applied in space planning elements for users. In order for various digital service of public library to be technically implemented, it is necessary to organize open space by expanding the size of multimedia center to utilize high-tech facilities.

  • This study was to find out contemporary planning trends of rural houses in Na-po Munhwa village by analyzing their floor plan shapes and space relations & elements. There were built 240 houses in that village, but it were possible to collect housing data, floor plans & general building records of 120 houses, from house register. By analyzing those data, findings were as follows : 1) Floor plan shapes of rural houses had a tendency to 'ㅋ' shape type than simple box or transformed box types, and Room-Living-Room arrangement of centered living were very strong trends in those plans. 2) Public spaces, L.D.K

  • This study is progressing or suggests effective space planning for rural village area conventional markets that is planning business market modernization process. Rural village area conventional markets of small scale are inputting a lot of efforts and financial resources for activation. Also, I wish to quote activation plan for rural village area conventional markets that face in stagnation. Studied spatial form and conventional market activation factors by space use special quality of rural village area conventional markets for architectural planning plan presentation. Investigated spatial change for several years that appear in Geum-wang conventional market for this. As a result, could deduce plans of space improvement plan for conventional market space positively. Also, through this study, suggest activation plan of conventional market that display similar space type including Geum-wang conventional market. Therefore, environment improvement of conventional market's type and special quality based on space activation elements and need space environment improvement plan the architecture plan in early planning phase of business.

Improved Differential Wavefront Sampling algorithm for efficient alignment of Space optical system

  • The significant I&T process gain represented by reduction in overall budget expenditure can be obtained from the use of efficient alignment technique for large space optical systems. Such process gain tends to increase rapidly with an increase in aperture and/or in number of optical elements within the system. However, in practice, the alignment of multiple optical components tends to be rather difficult task because of the multiple coupling effects among the elements within the target system. In order to understand and hence identify the complex interplay of the wavefront coupling effects from the alignment process, the original differential wavefront sampling(DWS) method was presented elsewhere in recent years. DWS uses partial differential of the wavefront of optical component and perturbation value of the optical component against a particular alignment factor. The straightforward application of DWS for an off-axis optical system revealed that it tends to give incorrect estimation of the given misalignment state. In this study, we added off-axis correction terms to the original DWS algorithm and investigated its alignment performance. The performance simulation result for a Korsch type space optical system shows that the modified DWS is capable of bringing the misaligned system into the target alignment tolerance only after 3 iterations. It also shows that this new improved algorithm can be used to estimate the source misalignment as well. We are planning to apply this method for the alignment of a 800mm Korsch type telescope in the near future. We discuss the computational technique, simulation results and implications in details.
