Today, games, movies and amusements are the occupation of museums. This study will investigate the current trend of the theme park-style museum, the alternative space of the 21th centuty. Theme parks have moved beyond the concept of park, and they have application in commercial space, medical space, educational space and other areas, even exhibition space in an advanced country. This study researches into the characteristics of the theme park and museum, and how the style of the theme park-style museum is created. Its aim is to analyze the character of theme Park-style museum through case study with a focus on style. The theme park-style museum is an exhibition space with an emphasis on the characteristics of a theme park. The style of a theme park-style museum can be divided into ride-type, food-type, character-type and landscape-type attractions. Attractions are an important element of theme park-style museum. We recognize the new paradigm of museum in the theme park-style museum, but need to propose a method that will apply attraction elements to an exhibition space. The theme park-style museum will continually evolve with new attractions, and it is recommended that museums plan today for these changes.

The purpose of this study was to examine the application tendency about the elements of the western classical style which appears in Korean commercial space. The examined objects were 436 pictures of 106 commercial spaces from the different monthly magazines between Sep. 1994 to Sep. 1999. The results of this study were as follows: 1. The tendency of application according to the kind of space, it has appeared much in restaurants and cafes which are being made into high-class centering around Kangnam area. As for the single application in commercial space, Renaissance style was shown most, and the cases applied through the mixture of Renaissance style and Neo-classic style appeared most. 2. The tendency of application arroding to the composition elements of space, the wall of Renaissance style and N대-classic style appeared similarly, and the ceiling of Renaissance style, the window and door of N대-classic style, the column of Renaissance style, and the furniture of Rococo style were being applied much.

The purpose of this study was to explain the uniqueness of tropical space style by identifying it in Southeast Asia. For this purpose, literature review was examined from 26 specialized tropical space style books and categorized. Its results are expected to be used as reference materials in designing spaces related to Southeast Asia and for constructors planning to run their business in Southeast Asia or Korea. The results of categorization are as follows; 'Tropical Traditional', 'Tropical Colonial' and 'Tropical Modern'. First, in case of Tropical Traditional Style, the traditional styles are adopted in roof and some of traditional styles are adopted in walls, windows and doors. Second, in case of Tropical Colonial Style, Renaissance or neo-classical styles are adopted in most of columns, archs, windows and doors. The traditional styles are also blended. Third, in case of Tropical Modern Style, straight line designs are adopted dominantly. However, decorative objects of traditional style are used to catch eyes. In summary, traditional style are imbedded more or less in all of tropical style and particularly, decorative objects of traditional style are key elements representing tropical space.

Like today there is to a world-wide anger time where the culture flow is active and the life style which it follows in soul re-and economic growth of information anger and brother-in-law both culture of the world and consuming pattern against the eating and drinking space of the people are demanding the change which is various. Per the Korean-style food space composition quality instance - investigation analysis it leads and per the Korean-style food store plan hour it presents the standard of the space composition it will be able to refer with per the Korean-style food space composition plan hour efficient and rational there is the objective of the place where it provides a fundamental data to direction set of new plan.

The Japanese-style houses built in the colonial age have changed through extension or remodeling since Koreans started residence after the liberation of the country. The objective of this study is to find out the influene of the cultural differences of the two nations on the living-style of the two nations from the comparative living-style viewpoint. 26 Japaneses-style houses built in the Ulsan city from the Open-Port year to 1945 were studied with the field survey method. The qualitative and the quantatative analysis were used. The results of this study are as follows. 1) Because of new materials and conveniences, kitchen, bathroom and toilet have changed into standing-type kitchen, bathroom and bathtub of cement and tile, and flush toilet respectively. The indoor toilets were removed and outdoor ones replaced them instead. 2) In the residential space the Koreans have altered the Dadami-room to the Ondol-room becaus of their own heating wywtem, installed glass or wooden doors for the seperation of rooms, enlarged the indoor space throuh removing walls, and developed new uasge of the Dokonoma space. The room of Zasici is most frequently used as the Korean-style Anbang. The wide space called 'living room' or 'maru' near the entrance hall. In conclusion, the guest-oriented Zasiki-style plan of the Japanese-style houses has remodeled into the family oriented Anbang-style plan.

In this study, it was analyzed that, the way of securing publicity and privacy in family and type of public space of the Japanese contemporary detached house, by the composition type of family from one person home to four generation family home. Mostly the living room is made as open plan of LDK type. Mostly, the entrance hall is separate with living room. Even if the case of the entrance hall is connected with living room, it is planned to be recognized as entrance hall, by making entrance poach or connecting it with stair hall. In many case, the public space is designed as traditional Japanese style, such as wellhole style space (吹拔け), courtyard, and Japanese style room (和室). The Japanese style room is adjacent to living room, and used as the space of receiving guests. The wellhole style space and courtyard are recognized as the center of the house, and used as buffer space for ensuring privacy of each generation. The most different point between bachelor house and multi generation family house is another LDK space, living room or kitchen for parents' generation is made separately. Particularly there are many case of making separate small kitchen space, therefore it can be known that, the separation of kitchen space is recognized more importantly than that of living room. And there are many case of making separate entrance hall, two houses under one roof. The spatial composition like this can said as rational method of ensuring the privacy of each generation, and using the public space together as necessary.

본 연구의 목적은 서양에서 오랜 역사를 통해 발달해 온 시대별 고전 양식이 현재 한국의 주거공간에 어떻게 적용되고 있는지의 경향을 파악해 보고자 하는 것으로 최근 5년 간 발행되었던 6개 종류의 관련 전문잡지를 조사하여 사양 고전양식으로 시공되거나 코디네이션된 주거공간 99사례의 사진을 조사하고 공간유형별, 실내구성요소별로 분석하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 한국의 현대 주거공간에 나타난 서양고전양식의 공간별 적용경향을 보면 아파트와 단독주택에서 많이 적용되고 있었고, 실별로는 거실, 부부침실, 식당 순이었으며 거실에서는 차분하고 안정감을 주는 직선의 신고전 양식이, 침실에서는 부드러운 곡선의 로코코 양식이, 식당에서는 식탁과 의자등 가구에 로코코 양식이 쓰이고 있었다. 한편, 단일적용으로는 로코코 양식과 신고전 양식이 비슷하게 많이 나타났고 혼합적용 또한 로코코 양식과 신고전 양식이 혼합된 경우가 가장 많이 나타났다. 2. 한국 현대 주거공간에 나타난 서양고전양식의 실내구성요소별 적용경향은 신고전 양식의 벽, 르네상스 양식의 천장, 신고전 양식의 천장, 신고전 양식의 창과 문, 로코코 양식의 가구, 로코코 양식과 신고전 양식의 장식이 많이 적용됨으로써 로코코양식과 신고전 양식이 우세하였다. 이들은 원형보다는 변형으로 적용된 경우가 압도적으로 우세하였다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics of space design appearing in facade and interior composition factors of buildings in the colonial period in Indonesia. Research method is a field study, and subjects of the study is 14 buildings built in the colonial period located in Jakarta. The research result is as follows. First, Facade is divided into C type (colonial style), CT type (colonial style + traditional style), CA type (colonial style + art deco style), and CTA type (colonial style + traditional style + art deco style). Among them, CT type which shows both a colonial style and traditional style accounts for the most. As for Java traditional style mainly shows Joglo roof style and bratticing decoration on top of gates, and the colonial style presents both an Amsterdam canal housing style such as narrow Facade and unusual Gable, and a classical style such as pediment, entablature, and columns. Second, interior space is divided into C type (colonial style), CT type (colonial style + Indonesian traditional style), A type (art deco style), and CA type (colonial style + art deco style). Among them, CT type was also accounted for the most. Selected traditional style is a shape of bratticing decoration on top of gates and a shape of tenon of Joglo housing structure. Colonial style showed classical style such as exposed crossbeams, columns, and pilasters, and as for unique decoration, there are Ancona decoration and Delft tile decoration. On one hand, art deco style used typical art deco factors such as contrast of various materials and complementary color or golden color use as well as zigzag or vertical lines and geometric ornament by combining with colonial style or traditional style. It is expected that such research result will be a practical reference data when Korean construction companies or interior design companies advance Indonesia.

This paper is to clarify a cognitive structure and behaviors of the green environment creation in the Western-Style residential areas. The followings are the results of analysis; 1) Regarding the outside space of houses, yard and garden are differently recognized. While various behaviors are carried out in the yard, the garden is recognized as a space to construct green environment. 2) Most residents of Western-Style houses construct the outside space as a green space, and grow plants and flowers to enjoy their beauties. However they have introvert view of green environment. 3) The roles of outside space use are classified into four groups, the cognitive structures on the green environment creation are different from group to group.

This study examines for the making a deduction of architectural characteristics of high-rise business hotel's lower public space through analyzing the lobby space composition through Beijjng's 21 cases constructed from 1978 until 2008 in China. In the methods of analyzing process, We study the literatures, research reports and architectural drawings including the site survey. We hope to establish the principle in public space composition of Beijing's business hotels through analyzing the plan of these hotels. Finally, We find out the principles after researching as follows. Firstly, duration of business hotel construction was concentrated with the center of Beijing City especially central 5 Gu which will roll. To 1990's after that the high-rise hotel construction increased in order for the demand of the resort and the convention hotel to come to be many. The modem style was increased in hotel design of building's style. Secondly, the result which analyzes an 21 case study shows concourse style of public space composition is representative in lobby space of general 5 star business hotel in Beijing. And there are many upper composition style in sectional plan, modern style in lobby interior design. The third, the medium and small sized hotel have the plane which apply the public space efficiently.
