뉴욕시 공립학교에 나타난 배치 특성에 관한 연구 - 맨하튼 가로체계와 외부공간의 관계를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Layout Patterns of Public Schools in Manhattan - Focused on Relationship between Manhattan Grid Plan and Open Space -)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze patterns of public school building layout types, open space and relationship with communities in the Manhattan grid plan. The study illustrates how building layout patterns of school facilities are influenced by societal demands in the urban grid environment. During the nineteenth century, the Island of Manhattan was transformed into a physical representation of the Cartesian coordinate system via the development of the grid street plan. In order to take advantage of streets as urban space, it is quite important to understand characteristics of communities and open space relationships between buildings and streets. Moreover, the strategic planning of schools' outdoor space vitalizes public streets as a critical community anchor. This research reviews 118 Manhattan public schools and categorizes them by (1) building layout type, (2) site type, (3) circulation and public open space, which are the biggest factors that determine the layout patterns of the public schools in Manhattan. As a result of analysis, the layout patterns are classified into seven types : "ㅡ", "L", "ㄷ", "ㅁ", "H", "T" and "other" type. Of these, "ㅡ" type and "L" type occur most frequently, because these configurations most flexibly fit into the limited grid-locked blocks, the various types of site & topography, and adapt most dynamically to the open spaces created by using avenues and streets. The ultimate objective of this study is to provide a case study for future efforts to plan open spaces for campuses that effectively utilize the streets in proximity.

전례공간에서의 빛요소 적용에 대한 계획방안 연구 (A study on the Application Plan of Light Elements in Liturgy Space)

  • 천주교의 경우 예배와 기도가 이루어지는 교회건물의 중심은 전례공간이라고 할 수 있다. 이 전례공간의 조성은 참례자의 감성에 영향을 주고, 이 감성은 믿음과 연결되기 때문에 전례공간에서 감성에 대한 고려는 매우 중요한 계획요소가 된다고 할 것이다. 본 연구에서는 감성요소 중 시각을 통해 심성을 변화시키는 데에 가장 중요한 조건을 '빛'이라고 보고, 신심을 불러일으키는 전례공간을 형성하는 데에 빛의 역할을 강조하고자 하였다. 따라서 전례공간의 전례상 의미와 중요성을 이해하고, 공간적 위상과 역할을 파악하였고, 전례공간에서의 빛의 기능적 감성적 특성을 분석하기 위해 빛의 종류와 특성, 빛의 역할과 조건 등과 감성의 대상으로서의 빛에 대해 자료를 분석 정리하였다. 그리고 전례공간에서의 빛의 사용사례의 분석을 통해 그 효과와 적절성 및 적용의 조건 등을 파악하였다. 본 연구를 통해 성당의 사회적 역할 변화가 이루어지고 있고, 빛의 디자인적 역할 강화와 함께 성당공간의 활용도 제고에 따른 인공조명의 연출적용이 필요하게 됨을 확인하게 되었다. 또한 연구자료의 분석을 통해 적정조도의 기준을 제안할 수 있게 되었다. 이러한 과정을 통해 얻어진 결과를 종합하여 전례공간에의 빛요소 적용에 대한 계획적 방안을 제안하고자 하였다.

색소농도, 운량 및 태양반사의 전구분포 : OSMI 자료수집계획에 대한 응용 (Global Patterns of Pigment Concentration, Cloud Cover, and Sun Glint: Application to the OSMI Data Collection Planning)

  • 해색관측센서 (OSMI)의 월별 자료수집계획을 수립하기 위해 색소농도, 운량 및 태양반사의 세가지 영향요소에 대한 전구분포가 검토되었다. 위성의 임무 제한조건 (예, 임무주기)을 제외한 이들 세 요소들은 OSMI 자료수집에 매우 중요한 것으로 간주된다. Nimbus-7 CZCS 월평균 자료 및 ISCCP 월평균 자료가 색소농도 및 운량 분포 분석에 각각 사용되었다. 그리고 태양반사의 월별 모사분포는 OSMI 궤도예측 및 대기 상층부 태양반사 레이디언스 계산을 수행함으로 얻어졌다. 주어진 경위도 $10^{\circ}$격자에 대한 상기 각 요소의 월별 통계자료 (월평균 혹은 표준편차)를 이용해 월별 우선순위 도를 생성시켰다. 이어서 세 요소의 중복효과를 보기위해 각 달의 세 요소에 대한 우선순위 도를 중첩 시켰다. 초기결과는 하반구의 대부분이 구름과 태양반사의 계절변화로 인해 우선순위가 낮은 지역으로 분류됨을 보였다. 서로 다른 분류세트에 대한 민감도 시험을 하여 구름과 태양반사의 계절변화가 강건함을 보였다.

지속가능한 과학단지 환경계획의 원리와 적용 : 오송생명과학단지 개발사업을 사례로 (A Study on the Principles and Applications of Environmental Planning Towards Sustainable Science Parks : A Case Study for Developing Osong Bio-Health Science Technopolis)

  • 본 연구는 지속가능한 과학단지 환경계획의 모형을 제시하기 위하여 진행되었다. 이를 위하여 지속가능한 과학단지의 녹지환경을 환경건전성, 생태안정성, 경관심미성 측면에서 분석하였고, 이러한 원리들을 본 연구의 사례지역으로 선정한 오송생명과학단지 개발사업지에 적용하였다. 먼저 Habitat Agenda(II)와 선행연구의 결과를 종합하여 모두 15개의 지속가능한 과학단지 환경계획 요소를 도출하였다. 그리고 오송생명과학단지로 이전하게 되는 공공기관이 연구직 공무원들을 대상으로 이들 요소에 대해 중요도 설문을 실시하였다. 그 결과 과학단지의 환경적 지속가능성을 위해서는 기존의 자연녹지를 최대한 보존하여 자연환경과 조화를 이루어야 한다는 의식이 응답자들에게 매우 강하다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 지속가능한 과학단지의 녹지환경은 녹색의 이미지를 증진시켜 건전한 환경을 제공할 뿐만 아니라, 생태적으로도 안정해야 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 오송생명과학단지 개발사업을 평가하여 경관생태학적 환경계획에 의한 대안을 제시하였다. 또한 녹지공간의 경관심미성을 유지하기 위해서는 건물에 의해 산림이 가려지지 않도록 고도를 규제할 필요가 있다.

IPA를 통한 PC부재 할당 및 적재 계획 시 고려사항 분석 (Importance and Performance Analysis on Factors of PC Component Allocation and Loading Planning)

  • PC 부재 할당, 적재 계획은 차량적재 공간의 활용률을 높임으로써 차량에서 발생하는 이산화탄소 배출과 에너지 사용을 줄일 수 있으며, 또한 전체 프로젝트 비용을 절감할 수 있다. 이 연구는 PC 공사 공장관리자와 현장관리자를 대상으로 PC 부재를 차량에 할당 및 적재 계획을 수립하는 데 도움을 줄 수 있는 고려사항 18개를 도출하였으며, 도출한 18개 고려사항을 활용하여 IPA분석을 수행하였다. 주요결과, PC 부재 할당계획 시 "PC 부재 운반 차량 대수", "건설현장 내의 야적장 유무" 항목에 관한 고려사항 개선이 필요한 것을 파악하였다. 또한, PC 부재 적재계획에서는 "PC 부재 방향" 항목에 관한 고려사항 개선이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 최근 들어 다양한 PC 부재 유형의 생산으로 인해 차량에 PC 부재를 안정적으로 적재하기 어려워 PC 부재 적재계획에서 비효율적인 차량 공간 사용, 불안한 적재 형태 등의 많은 문제가 발생하고 있다. 이 연구결과를 생산관리자가 부재 할당 및 적재 계획에 반영한다면 효율적인 차량 관리로 인해 경제적인 계획을 수립할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

쌍체비교기법을 통한 중정의 시각적 선호에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Visual Preference in Enclosed Spaces Based on the Paired Comparison Method)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate desirable width / height ratio of enclosed space and to offer basic information for the design of enclosed spaces. The data of this study were gathered from the experiment through simulation. Photographic sampling of 7 campus sites located in Kwanak campus of Seoul National University and slides of perspective drawings of enclosed spaces with various D/H ratio (12, 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, 12)were used for simulation. A response format was made using the method of paired comparison and students from various departments were randomly selected for evaluation. In the method of analysis of data Thurstone's equation of Comparative Judgement was used for calculating preference score. A1so non-linear regression analysis was used for finding out relations between preference and D/H ratio. The other method of data analysis were correlation, Chi - test. And the results were summarized as follows. 1. In sketch simulation the ratio of D/H 4 got the highest preference store. This result suggests that desirable D/H ratio of enclosed space is D/H 4. And at the lower range of D/H ratio, as ratio increases, the preference score increases. At the higher range of D/H ratio, however, as ratio increases, the preference score starts to decrease from the cardinal point of D/H 4. 2. In campus photograph simulation preference is influenced by slope, elevation change of floor, trees, lawn area, familiarity, space arrangement, and exterior shape of building besides D/H ratio. 3. The preference virtue was not significantly affected by order effect. This result suggests that order effect can be ignored in the study of visual preference. 4. There are so many factors related to preference that it is difficult to explore those factors without scientific information based on scientific method. We must carry out study for scientific approach of planning and design based on precise, complete simulation technique.

  • There are high recognitions on the importance of comforts in Elderly living environment, but the circumstance is that studies on seniors facility space itself are approached only in planning level, and studies on lighting environment which is significantly associated with the comfort in the indoor environment of seniors where they actually spend the majority of their time are not that active. This study was intended to deduce cozy bedroom environment to which existing elderly care facility can be improved by using light shelf the lighting system with the advantage of being able to serve both as building sun visor and lighting window simultaneously in order to analyze the interior environment of bedroom space of elderly care facility the indoor space where the aged spend the majority of their life and examine the directions for the improvement of existing building lighting system through remodeling and renovation. In this study, lighting performance analysis was done in a way that the windows of the bedroom unit in existing facility were set in southbound direction based on two standard types and were put under initial simulation with the use of Autodesk Revit 2011, and after the simulation results were converted to Green Building Studio gbXML file to be used in ECOTECT, Daylight Autonomy a dynamic simulation and static natural lighting simulation the existing method of calculating daylight factors were deduced through Ecotect Analysis 2011. In conclusion, exiting standard model was found in such a condition that the daylight factors for both type A and type B were above 5% the proper standard value, and required improvement. In case light shelf the natural lighting system was attached, the daylight factor was improved to proper standard value for type A, and also was improved above existing facility for type B.

  • Modern society is heading towards a knowledge & information based society where knowledge and information is valued, or a knowledge creation society where information is analyzed and processed to be used as knowledge. This means that not only individuals but also every organization is always surrounded by information and that we are witnessing a transition into a society where the value of knowledge and information is increasingly higher so sometimes we must actively explore and use the information across the whole social structure involved with politics, economy and culture. Recently, while the amount of information at public libraries at home and abroad has greatly increased in volume and the kinds have become diverse, efforts for digitalizing and integrating knowledge & information resources are being pursued aggressively. A new paradigm of facilities and space configuration for public libraries is required so that along with traditional library service there will exist integrated links and exchange of digital information resources and all users will be able to equally access that information. Therefore, assuming that human, information and space are important design factors as to space planning for public libraries, this study compared characteristics of the space structure and the form of exchange of knowledge & information through examples involved with public libraries having opened in the past three to four years from perspectives of space sociology and communication. This is a basic study to provide organized design guidelines about the form of exchange of creative knowledge & information from various perspectives in the knowledge & information age. Also this study is considered to have a significance in activating communication with users through exchange, creation and experience of knowledge & information, which is a social role that modern public libraries support.

국내 종합병원의 리모델링 전.후 공간비교에 관한 건축계획적 연구 (A Study on the Archtectural Planning Compared with Space for Before and After Remodeling of General Hospitals in Korea)

  • An early stage of general hospital in Korea was the quantitative growth period. Remodeling has been required to meet the increasing medical demands. To accept the change of paradigm and management operation method, remodeling occurred from the 20th century. Remodeling plans are difficult to define the direction of the detailed plan due to various factors in the beginning of the construction, Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the possibility and limitation of a feasible remodeling plan of general hospitals through the comparison of existing hospital before remodeling and after the remodeling takes effect. A comparison of the researched hospital's blue prints before and after the remodeling and recently built hospital's blue print, analyzed characteristic of the space variation by the remodeling. The purpose of research is to confirm a possibility and limitation of remodeling of general hospitals comparing with merits and faults of extension, reconstruction, and construction. In conclusion, the area of remodeling hospitals increase mostly medical department(ward, outpatient department, inpatient department) and subsidiary facilities, but the area of ward and inpatient department are less than the new hospitals. Especially, public area is greatly increased by the diversification of corridor function. Also, remodeling hospitals represent a limitation to plan departments in need of equipment-intensive space. To address this problem, expansion space is used mainly with inpatient department and existing space is placed mainly with low-impact department by equipment ; outpatient department, administration department.

대규모 공원에서의 미아발생과 보행밀도와의 상관분석을 통한 미아발생 환경요인 도출 - 부산시민공원과 북서울 꿈의 숲을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Environmental Factors affecting Child Loss through Correlation Analysis between Child Loss and Pedestrian Density in Large-scale Parks - Focused on Busan Citizens Park and Dream Forest -)

  • The purpose of this study is to derive the environmental factors affecting child loss through correlation analysis between child loss and pedestrian density. The status of lost children was identified through the lost child records and interviews in large parks. In addition, the behavior survey was conducted by photographing the entire outdoor of each park, and visitors was marked on the behavioral maps. Also, the pedestrian density was analyzed by GIS as 100㎡ and 1㎡ grid. As a result, child loss was related to the pedestrian density rather than the number of visitors or the area. Especially, 'Dynamic pedestrian density' and 'Ratio of pedestrian in high density to area' was related to child loss. In other words, the more dynamic behaviors such as play and movement appear, and the more the local area of high density, the higher the probability of child loss. In addition, environmental factors that induce such high density include bottlenecks, overlap of circulation due to multi-functionality of space, concentration of rides, and concentration of guardians due to visual obstacles.
