This study proposes a methodology to analyse social networks among participating design engineers during product development projects. The proposed methodology enables product development managers or the participating design engineers to make a proper decision on product development considering the performance of participating design engineers. It considers a product development environment where an integrated product data management (PDM) system manages the product development data and associated product development processes consistently in its database, and all the design engineers share the product development data in the PDM database for their activities in the product development project. It provides a novel approach to build social networks among design engineers from an operational product development data in the PDM database without surveys or monitoring participating engineers. It automatically generates social networks among the design engineers from the product data and relationships specified by the participants during the design activities. It allows analysts to gather operational data for their analysis without additional efforts for understanding complex and unstructured product development processes. This study also provides a set of measures to evaluate the social networks. It will show the role and efficiency of each design engineers in the social network. To show the feasibility of the approach, it suggests an architecture of social network analysis (SNA) system and implemented it with a research-purpose PDM system and R, a statistical software system. A product configuration management process with synthetical example data is applied to the SNA system and it shows that the approach enables analysts to evaluate current position of design engineers in their social networks.

Some two years ago our company undertook a project on manufacturing network rationalization to maximize competitiveness through continuous improvement in manufacturing efficiency. One key outcome was the recognition of the benefits that could be derived from timely application of new technology or novel use of existing technologies and even more importantly the need to develop company wide strategies to maximize the impact of such applications. As a direct result an exercise was undertaken to identify the ten most promising technologies from a list of literally hundreds seen as having the capability of making a rapid impact on the manufacturing initiative. One of the outcomes of this exercise was the identification of Near Infrared Spectroscopy as a pivotal technology for improving process understanding, performance, and control to deliver consistent product quality cost effectively with broad applicability across our product range. While NIR had been in use in targeted areas on some of our sites for some years our new challenge was to develop a strategy to extend NIRs application, initially over 17 manufacturing sites, while concurrently expanding the NIR skill base company wide to ensure that the return on initial investment could be further maximized as shared applications across the remaining sites as required. This presentation will provide an overview of how life cycle based user requirement specifications were developed covering: ㆍSpectrophotometers ㆍSample interfaces ㆍSoftware ㆍEquipment and Software qualification ㆍCalibration transfer ㆍ Ease of developing effective user interfaces and control for applications transferred to a production area ㆍUser training ㆍWorld wide support The presentation will also describe the process adopted for vendor selection to ensure maximum utilization of the existing company wide NIR skill base and its future development to expedite applications of the technology in development, quality control and production areas.

This dissertation are studying the conceptual structure of decision making situation in libraries, by analyzing the library function, decision makings of library and then seeking economic and efficient alternative decision making by programming the· decision making situations, and finally, introducing how to apply management information system or decision making support system. For this purpose, in order to analyzing necessary factors for the decision making system, the questionnaire used Lickert method were distributed to 400 librarians of 36 universities in Seoul by means of mail. 193 librarians, $48\%$ of the questionnaire, are returned are studied by using 'SYSTAT' statistical software to figure out the factors of the decision making system. This dissertation was put six hypotheses and tested with the returned questionnaire. The following five result can be asserted. First, to the higher degree of the librarians' participation in the important library decision makings, the quality of formal library services are improved regardless of seniority of the work. Secondly, the t-test results show that all of t-test scores of seniority of the work, educational background, and responsibilities of the work are exceeding significant level and perception of decision making was proved to be different depending on seniority of the work, educational background, and responsibilities of the work in libraries. Thirdly, as the results of factor af factor analysis, the encouragement on participation in the library academic activities, the extent to get useful information about performances of library and the improvements of library works were grouped by similar posibilities of distribution and therfore the academic activities, the collection of information and the improvement of library performances is proved to be interrelational each other. Fourthly, the fifth hypothesis of the close relationship between the decision making situation and types of advisor by it was more or less interrelational, but their relationship was not seen some significancies. Lastly, as the dynamic organization of library management forming a special commitee or a project team with librarian can improve the extent and quality of the librarian's participation in the decision making of library works, and thus library will become to performance more rational and effective library management.
A name is a key feature for distinguishing people, but we often fail to discriminate people because an author may have multiple names or multiple authors may share the same name. Such name ambiguity problems affect the performance of document retrieval, web search and database integration. Especially, in bibliography information, a number of errors may be included since there are different authors with the same name or an author name may be misspelled or represented with an abbreviation. For solving these problems, it is necessary to disambiguate the names inputted into the database. In this paper, we propose a method to solve the name ambiguity by using social networks constructed based on the relations between authors. We evaluated the effectiveness of the proposed system based on DBLP data that offer computer science bibliographic information.

In this paper, the FPGA modem platform complying with 3GPP Release 7 eHSPA specifications and its regularized verification flow are proposed. The FFGA platform consists of modem board supporting physical layer requirements, MCU and DSP core embedded control board to drive the modem board, and peripheral boards for RF interfacing and various equipment interfaces. On the other hand, the proposed verification flow has been regularized into three categories according to the correlation degrees of hardware-software inter-operation, such as simple function test, scenario test call processing and system-level performance test. When it comes to real implementations, the emulation verification strategy for low power mobile SoC is also introduced.

Recently BIM technology has been expanded for using in construction project. However its spread has been delayed than the initial expectations, due to the high-cost of BIM infrastructure development, the lack of regulations, the lack of process and so forth. Therefore, this research proposes the cloud computing based BIM service for saving the cost of BIM infrastructure development and providing various BIM Services to meet the domestic process. In order to achieve this, we perform a survey on the cloud computing based BIM service and develope the prototype system as the core technology of proposed service. The developed the prototype system consists of the IFC based BIM server for IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) and the viewer for SaaS (Software as a Service). This research also conducts the performance test for their applicability and verifies that the results of this research can be used as core components in the cloud computing based BIM service.
Due to the limitations of budget, resources, and time invested in a project, software requirements should be prioritized and be implemented in order of importance. Existing approaches to prioritizing requirements mostly depend on human decisions. The manual prioritization process is based on intensive interactions with the stakeholders, thus raising the issues of scalability and biased prioritization. To solve these problems, we propose a fully automated requirements prioritization approach, ToMSN (Topic Modeling Stakeholder Needs for requirements prioritization), by topic modeling the stakeholder needs-artifacts earned in the requirements elicitation phase. The requirements dataset of a 30,000-user system was utilized for the performance evaluation. ToMSN showed competitive prioritizing accuracy with existing approaches without human aids, therefore solving scalability and biased prioritization issues.
With our society entering the Fourth Industrial Revolution, there has been heightened interest in coding education, which has led to an increased number of coding classes offered in schools. Once catered to degree holders only, coding courses are now being offered as liberal arts courses to even non-majors. As the importance of computing abilities and creativity-oriented education through software learning becomes increasingly pronounced, the need for research on effective coding learning is growing more urgent. The present study sought an effective coding education model that would encourage and enhance learners' participation and interest in coding. The proposed learning model is designed to invoke learner's recognition of various coding grammars and data search in the process of designing and performing their own unique project. Application of the proposed learning model and analysis of such case studies showed improvement in learning outcomes. One can expect improved performance among learners if the proposed learning model is applied to various coding courses.

Since human genome project finished, the cost for human genome analysis has decreased very rapidly. This results in the sharp increase of human genome data to be analyzed. As the need for fast analysis of very large bio data such as human genome increases, non IT researchers such as biologists should be able to execute fast and effectively many kinds of bio applications, which have a variety of characteristics, under HPC environment. To accomplish this purpose, a biologist need to define a sequence of bio applications as workflow easily because generally bio applications should be combined and executed in some order. This bio workflow should be executed in the form of distributed and parallel computing by allocating computing resources efficiently under HPC cluster system. Through this kind of job, we can expect better performance and fast response time of very large bio data analysis. This paper proposes a workflow-based data analysis system specialized for bio applications. Using this system, non-IT scientists and researchers can analyze very large bio data easily under HPC environment.

Greybox fuzzing is known as an effective method to discover unknown security flaws reside in software and has been actively researched today. However, most of greybox fuzzing tools require an executable file. Because of this, a library, which cannot be executed by itself requires an additional executable file for greybox fuzzing. Generating such an executable file is challengeable because it requires both understanding of the library and fuzzing. In this research, we suggest the approach to generate an executable file automatically for a library and implement this approach as a tool based on the LLVM framework. This tool shows that executable files and seed files can be generated automatically by static/dynamic analysis of a unit test in the target project. A generated executable file is compatible with various greybox fuzzers like AFL because it has a common interface for greybox fuzzers. We show the performance of this tool as code coverage and discovered unknown security bugs using generated executable files and seed files from open source projects through this tool.
