4자유도 모션 플랫폼을 이용한 잠수함의 운동감 재현과 스테레오 다채널 가시화 (Submarine Behavior Simulation based on 4-DOF Motion Platform and Stereoscopic Multi-Channel Visualization)

  • Modeling and simulation is important for military training. People can feel perspective when stereoscope images are created using multi-channel visualizations. A submarine oscillates when the submarine is just below the surface of the sea, so that the reconnaissance becomes difficult. Also, the operator should read the information of the target within 6 seconds using the periscope. The operator must have experience. To solve these problems, stereoscopic multi-channel visualization has been tested. The iCAVE system of KAIST provides a large-scale screen, 7 PCs, and 14 projectors to create the stereoscope images. To simulate the motion of a submarine just below the ocean surface, a 4-DOF motion platform is used. The motion data is transmitted to the visual system and the motion platform through the UDP protocol. Variety of weather conditions are created using the Vega Prime software. The stereoscopic multi-channel visualization and the motion platform system created a realistic simulation system.

  • This paper covers improvement of the humanoid robot platform HUBO2, known as the HUBO2+. As a necessity of the growth of the humanoid platform, a robust, reliable and user friendly platform is needed. From this standpoint, HUBO2+ is the most improved humanoid robot platform in the HUBO series. The mechanical design has been changed to increase the movable range and to stop joint compulsion. Additionally, all of the electrical parts are re-designed to be un-breakable in an unexpected situation. A smart power controller with robot status check panel is attached on the back. Additionally, a diagnosis tool, the HUBO-i, has been developed. Moreover, each joint motor controller of HUBO2+ has a Protection Function and a PODO system is provided for handling the robot easily.

고속 SoC 검증을 위한 자동 가상 플랫폼 생성 (Automatic Virtual Platform Generation for Fast SoC Verification)

  • 본 논문에서는 가상 플랫폼을 이용하여 빠르고 효과적으로 시스템을 검증하기 위한 추상레벨의 자동생성에 대하여 제안한다. 추상레벨 가상 플랫폼은 효과적인 검증 방법이긴 하지만 시스템이 변경될 때마다 가상 플랫폼을 재생성하고 추가적인 설계/검증을 요구되며 이 작업은 매우 많은 시간을 요구한다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 CPU, 메모리, UART 등을 기본적인 요소로 구성하여 추상레벨의 라이브러리로 생성하였다. 이 라이브러리를 이용하여 가상 플랫폼을 자동 생성하는 툴을 개발하였다. 이 툴은 임베디드 RTOS를 구성하는 가상 플랫폼을 자동 생성하며 HW/SW 간의 통신을 위한 메모리 맵과 디바이스 드라이버 등도 생성한다. 제안한 방법은 JPEG과 H.264에 성공적으로 적용하였으며 기존의 수동 작업에 비하여 매우 빠르게 가상 플랫폼을 자동 생성할 수 있었다.

  • One of the most important prerequisites for a successful software process is the collaboration and software requirements negotiation of all stakeholders in the software development process. Remote users using computer networks can negotiate software requirements by computer supported system, and can share their informations. The goal of software requirements negotiation system is an integration of all win conditions and an agreement after resolution of conflicts. The existing systems need an exclusive system and must be dependent on specific platform and network. Users must have the knowledge of all stakeholder's status and use homogeneous collaborating applications. This paper presents the Web-based software requirements negotiation system for the purpose of resolution of the existing systems' problems. The Web-based software requirements negotiation system can be driven by WinWin Spiral model, and it is based on hybrid execution method. The proposed system is validated and tested on heterogeneous environments.

  • AUTOSAR is a partnership of automotive manufacturers and suppliers working together to develop and establish a de-facto open industry standard for automotive software architectures. In the AUTOSAR architecture, the runtime environment is at in the heart of the AUTOSAR architecture to provides the infrastructure services that enable communication between software components and between software components and basic software components. The RTE generator is an automated generation tool for AUTOSAR specification based RTE according to the ECU configuration. It generates communication API function for the software components and the basic software components like OS and COM of the application. The availability and the accuracy of the RTE generator are important for the automobile software which is based on AUTOSAR architecture, this paper proposes an architectural design of the RTE generator for auto-generation of the AUTOSAR based RTE.

듀얼모드 SDR 모뎀 플랫폼의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Dual-Mode SDR Modem Platform)

  • 본 논문에서는 TDD HSDPA(Time Division Duplex High Speed Downlink Packet Access)와 WiBro(Wireless Broadband Portable Internet) 와 같은 이동통신 규격을 지원하는 SDR(Software Defined Radio) 단말 모뎀 플랫폼을 제안한다. 제안하는 SDR 플랫폼은 DSP, FPGA, 마이크로프로세서 등 프로그래밍 가능한 소자들을 채용하여 HSDPA와 WiBro와 같은 기능을 담당하는 프로그램 등이 하드웨어 플랫폼 상에 다운로드 가능하도록 하였다. 제안하는 플랫폼은 이동통신네트워크의 멀티모드 단말시스템을 위한 물리계층 규격의 기능검증 등에 사용될 수 있다. 본 논문은 먼저 HSDPA와 WiBro 시스템의 물리계층 수신구조를 설명하고, 제안하는 SDR 플랫폼의 하드웨어 구현 방법과 각 모드에 요구되는 기능과 구현한 하드웨어 플랫폼 상에서의 최적화된 신호 흐름의 설계방법을 제시한다. 마지막으로 테스트신호를 이용한 루프백(loopback) 테스트를 통하여 제안한 SDR 플랫폼 상에 동작하는 각 모드 별 링크 성능을 보여준다. 제시된 실험 성능은 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 성능과 비교하였다.

SaaS(Software as a Service) 기반 지방유적도시 구조물 유지관리계측 통합모니터링시스템 구현 (Implementation of an Integrated Monitoring System for Constructional Structures Based on SaaS in Traditional Towns with Local Heritage)

  • Measuring sensor, equipment, ICT facilities and their software have relatively short life time comparing to constructional structure so that we should exchange or fix them continuously in the process of maintenance and management. In this paper, we propose a novel design of integrated maintenance, management, and measuring monitoring system applying the concept of mobile cloud. For the sake of disaster prevention for constructional structures such as bridge, tunnel, and other traditional buildings in the village of local heritage, we analyze status of these structures in the long term or short term period as well as disaster situations. Collecting data based on mobile cloud and analyzing future expectations based on probabilistic and statistical techniques, we implement our integrated monitoring system for constructional structures to solve these existing problems. Final results of this design and implementation are basically applied to the monitoring system for more than 10,000 structures spread over national land in Korea. In addition, we can specifically apply the monitoring system presented here to a bridge of timber structure in Asan Oeam Village and a traditional house in Andong Hahoe Village to watch them from possible disasters. Total procedure of system design and implementation as well as development of the platform LinkSaaS and application services of monitoring functions implemented on the platform. We prove a good performance of our system by fulfilling TTA authentication test, web accommodation test, and operation test using real measuring data.

  • Software-In-the-Loop Simulation(SILS) and Rapid Control Prototyping(RCP) are proposed as an integrated development environment to support the development process from system design to implementation. SILS is an environment used to simulate control systems with temporal behavior. RCP offers seamless phase shift from design to implementation based on automatic code generation. There are several toolsets that support control system design and analysis. A few of these tools generate the control software automatically. However, most of these design toolsets do not cover temporal behavior which appears after implementation. In earlier toolsets, the design and the implementation of a control system are considered as two separate processes which mean the conventional development process is not connected strictly. SILS/RCP environments work under an identical platform and use the same representation for system modeling. An integrated SILS/RCP environment makes it possible to design controllers under conditions similar to real execution during off-line simulation and to realize controllers in the early design phase. SILS/RCP environments integrate the design and implementation phases which reduce the time-to-market and provide greater performance-assured design. The establishment of SILS/RCP and the practical design approaches are presented.

개인화된 힐링 데이터 접근을 위한 개방형 게이트웨이 프레임워크 설계 (Design of Open Gateway Framework for Personalized Healing Data Access)

  • ICT 힐링 플랫폼은 생체신호 및 생활습관 등의 정보를 기반으로 한 질환조기 경보를 목표로 하는 개념으로서 만성질환 예방을 목적으로 한다. ICT(Information & Communication Technology) 힐링플랫폼의 목표는 개인이 주도하는 건강관리를 위해 여러 건강 관련 서비스 기관들(병원, 피트니스센터, 건강검진센터, 개인건강장치 등)에 산재되어 있는 개인 건강 정보를 개방화하여 개인 단말장치로 모으고, 분석 플랫폼 및 Open API를 제공하여 다양한 부가 서비스들을 활성화하는데 있다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 개인화된 힐링 데이터 접근을 위한 개방형 게이트웨이 프레임워크인 HPAdapter (Healing Platform Adaptor)는 ICT 힐링플랫폼의 데이터 중계를 위해 EMR(Electronic health record), 한방의학, 라이프로그, 웰니스, 만성질활, 피트니스 등 다양한 개인 건강관련 데이터 공급자와 서비스 공급자 사이를 연결해 개인화된 힐링 데이터를 중계하는 소프트웨어 엔진을 뜻한다. 설계된 HPAdaptor는 데이터 및 서비스 공급자 연동을 통해 힐링 레코드 저장소, 모바일 플랫폼 및 분석 플랫폼 등 데이터를 필요로 하는 서비스 혹은 플랫폼의 중계참조 모델로 활용할 수 있다.

Use of the surface-based registration function of computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing software in medical simulation software for three-dimensional simulation of orthognathic surgery

  • Three-dimensional (3D) computed tomography image models are helpful in reproducing the maxillofacial area; however, they do not necessarily provide an accurate representation of dental occlusion and the state of the teeth. Recent efforts have focused on improvement of dental imaging by replacement of computed tomography with other detailed digital images. Unfortunately, despite the advantages of medical simulation software in dentofacial analysis, diagnosis, and surgical simulation, it lacks adequate registration tools. Following up on our previous report on orthognathic simulation surgery using computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) software, we recently used the registration functions of a CAD/CAM platform in conjunction with surgical simulation software. Therefore, we would like to introduce a new technique, which involves use of the registration functions of CAD/CAM software followed by transfer of the images into medical simulation software. This technique may be applicable when using various registration function tools from different software platforms.
