A Comparison of Reliability Factors of Software Reliability Model Following Lifetime Distribution Dependent on Pareto and Erlang Shape Parameters (파레토 및 어랑 형상모수에 의존한 수명분포를 따르는 소프트웨어 신뢰성 모형에 대한 신뢰도 특성요인 비교 연구)

  • Software reliability is one of the most elementary and important problems in software development In order to find the software failure occurrence, the instantaneous failure rate function in the Poisson process can have a constant, incremental or decreasing tendency independently of the failure time. In this study, we compared the reliability performance of the software reliability model using the parameters of Pareto life distribution with the intensity decreasing pattern and the shape parameter of Erlang life distribution with the intensity increasing and decreasing pattern in the software product testing. In order to identify the software failure environment, the parametric estimation was applied to the maximum likelihood estimation method. Therefore, in this paper, we compare and evaluate software reliability by applying software failure time data. The reliability of the Erlang and Pareto life models is shown to be higher than that of the Pareto lifetime distribution model when the shape parameter is higher and the Erlang model is more reliable when the shape parameter is higher. Through this study, the software design department will be able to help the software design by applying various life distribution and shape parameters, and providing basic knowledge using software failure analysis.

  • This paper is the Software Hazard Analysis (SWHA) which will study the managerial process and the technical methode and techniques inherent in the performance of software safety task within the Military Aircraft System Safety program. This SWHA identifies potential hazardous effects on the software intensive systems and provides a comprehensive and qualitative assessment of the software safety. The purpose of this paper is to identify safety critical functions of software in Military A/C. The identified software hazards associated with the design or function will be evaluated for risks and operational constraint to further improve the software design requirement, analysis and testing efforts for safety critical software. This common SWHA, the first time analysis in KOREA, was review all avionics OFP(Operational Flight Program), and focus only on software segments which are safety critical. This paper provides a important understanding between the customer and developer as to how the software safety for the Military A/C will be accomplished. It will also provide the current best solution which may as one consider the necessary step in establishing a credible and cost-effective software safety program.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 어린이를 위한 인터랙티브 TV (KidTV)의 개발 사례를 통하여 사용자 인터페이스 디자인에 있어 제품디자인 영역의 특수성이 반영된 보다 적합한 인터랙티브 제품의 디자인 개발 체계를 개발하기 위한 관점을 찾는데 있다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 인터랙션 디자인 프로젝트에서 제품디자인적 문제해결 과제인 물리적 형태부여의 주요 요소인 인터랙션 스타일을 보다 합리적으로 조형요소로써 반영하기 위한 해결안으로써 "Form follows function" 이라는 루이스 설리반의 주장에서 힌트를 얻어 현시적 관점에서 그의 주장을 재해석하여 "Form follows Interaction" 이라는 디자인 키워드를 통하여 사용자 인터페이스 디자인에서의 제품디자인 측면의 인터페이스 개발을 위한 하나의 관점으로 제안하고자 한다. 이를 통하여 다양한 학제가 결합하여 진행할 수 밖에 없는 사용자 인터페이스 디자인에 있어 여러 다른 학제들과 제품디자인 영역간의 이해를 돕고 사용자 인터페이스 전체적인 관점에서 제품디자인 영역의 디자인 개발체계를 확립할 수 있는 하나의 관점을 제공하고자 한다.

Synthesizable Interface Verification for Hardware/Software Co-verification (하드웨어/소프트웨어 동시검증을 위한 합성 가능한 인터페이스 검증 기법)

  • The complexity of embedded systems and the effort to develop them has been rising in proportion with their importance. Also, the heterogeneity of the hardware and software parts in embedded systems makes it more challenging to develop. Errors caused by hardware/software interfaces, especially, account for up to 13 percent of failures with an increasing trend. Therefore, verifying the interface between hardware and software in embedded system is one of the most important research areas. However, current approaches such as co-simulation method and model checking have explicit limitations. In this paper, we propose the synthesizable interface co-verification framework for hardware/software co-design. Firstly, we introduce the separate interface specifications for the heterogeneous components to describe hardware design and software design. Our specifications are expressive enough to describe both. We also provide the transformation rules from the software specification to the hardware specification so that the whole system can be described from the software view. Secondly, we address the solution of verifying the interface of the software and hardware design by adopting and extending existing verification-techniques and extending them. In hardware interface verification, we exploit the model checking technique and provide more efficient verification by closing the hardware design from the assumption of the software behavior which is ensured by software verification step. Lastly, we generate the interface codes such as device APIs, device driver, and device controller from the specification so that verified hardware and software codes can be synthesized without extra efforts.

A Study on the Standard Architecture of Weapon Control Software on Naval Combat System

  • The Weapon Control Software performs the function of supporting weapon operation within the Naval Combat System in connection with the Weapon System. As Weapon Control Software depends on an Weapon System, it has the characteristic that software modification is unavoidable with the change in Interface information. Modification of software causes an increase in development costs since it must take verification step such as software reliability test. In this paper, We design the standard architecture of weapon control software to minimize the modification elements of existing weapon control software. For Interface information management, Feature Model were applied to make a division between common factor and variable factor. In addition, Strategy Pattern were applied to improve the software design. Software evaluation test results show that new architecture provides better modifiability and reuse than existing software as well as the cost of development decrease.

  • In this paper, a research for the knowledge based configuration design software development of a train vehicle has been presented. Parametric design and knowledge based design concepts have been introduced for rapid design changes and analyses using a commercial CAD software, $CATIA^{/circledR}$ Knowledgeware module. Positions and dimensions of door, small window, large window, and number of seats were used as design parameters. It is crucial for train vehicle design because it enables rapid conceptual design by instant configuration changes. The results of this research can be used as one sub module of the multidisciplinary train vehicle design software and provide a basic data for rolling stock behavior and driver cab ergonomics of a train vehicle.

An Exploratory Study on the Usage Patterns of Software-based Design Tools in Designers' Ideation and Collaboration Activities

  • The purpose of this study was to explore how designers use software-based design tools for ideation and collaboration (for two cases: with designers and with developers). We conducted logistic regression analysis and random forest analysis. Software-based design tools are more popular among product designers and affiliated with design organizations with 51 to 100 members. We identify the features that influence designers to use design tools for the ideation and collaboration, and how these usage patterns are interrelated. Interrelated usage pattern is a key consideration for location of the menu and convenience of use. The results imply that reinforcement of the design tool features per designer profile is required and that design management should be consistent with the field of design and the nature of the organization.

The ornament design of Jewels drawing project and a product by computer are increased development and as exertion as a realization of automation. Through the use of CAD software(Auto CAD R 13 & Jewel CAD) \circled1 A design development of the jewels in industrial society \circled2 A metals art & design on the dress and it's ornaments - Study about application of principle(liberal curve, arrangement of repeated form, gradual unity, rhythmical harmony) Although Auto CAD don't various expression of Jewels than a Jewel CAD, formative.scientific.funtional development of geometrical form is free. That is (to say), geometrical form is given much weigh in the general CAD, but Jewel CAD made concentrate software on the jewels design for the expression of liberal form. The CAD/CAM software for jewellery program is composed of main menu, icons, hotkeys. Changing form is derived from a definite point, curve elements of a drawing. \circled1 3-Dimensional \circled2 Easy and flexible \circled3 Bulit-in and self created library \circled4 From simple wire frame to full color images. As a CAD can practice all the creation activity effectively, from Design & Drafting Software to Rendering generally can present precise results. A point of view of the connection the scientist and art, this practicableness of CAD have a lot of possiblity of development. That will do much for the related fields of industry. Consequently, subjective intension of a creator & humanity with value plays role in practical application of the design.

  • Purpose - This study focuses on the use of evaluative criteria software for imprecise market information, and product mapping relationships between design parameters and customer requirements. Research design, data, and methodology - This study involved using the product predicted value method, synthesizing design alternatives through a morphological analysis and plan, realizing the synthesis in multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM), and using its searching software capacity to obtain optimal solutions. Results - The establishment of product designs conforms to the customer demand, and promotes the optimization of several designs. In this study, the construction level analytic method and the simple multi attribute comment, or the quantity analytic method are used. Conclusions - This study provides a solution for enterprise products' multi-goals decision-making, because the product design lacks determinism, complexity, risk, conflict, and so on. In addition, the changeable factor renders the entire decision-making process more difficult. It uses Fuzzy deduction and the correlation technology for appraising the feasible method and multi-goals decision-making, to solve situations of the products' multi-goals and limited resources, and assigns resources for the best product design.

  • 여러 약재의 복합적인 작용으로 치료를 행하는 한의학의 특성으로 여러 처방과 약재 조합들을 기억하고 있어야 하는 한의사의 어려움을 줄이고 환자에게 보다 높은 질의 의료 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 환경을 만드는 것이 목적이다. 다양하고 복합적인 약재의 조합으로 증상을 치료하는 한의학의 특성 때문에 셀 수 없이 많은 약재의 조합이 존재하며 한의사가 이 모든 조합을 기억하기는 어렵기 때문에 한의사들이 환자를 처방함에 있어 조금이라도 보탬이 될 수 있는 처방 지원 시스템을 개발할 필요가 있다. word2vec을 이용하여 처방과 약재의 조합을 추천해주며 분석을 통해 산출된 약재의 조합과 그 조합이 실제 의서에 존재하는지의 여부를 함께 알려주어 한의사가 보다 더 주의하여 환자에게 처방할 수 있다.
