The study aims to identify residents' perceptions of tourism impacts according to the demographic characteristics. The analysis was based on 366 questionnaires given to residents of six rural communities in rural Korea. A series of data analysis such as factor analysis, t-test, and ANOVA was conducted to investigate the residents perceptions of tourism impacts. Results showed that whereas younger, less educated and poor could perceive a negative impacts. older, educated and richer were more likely to perceive a positive impacts of economic, social and environmental spheres. Especially male was more likely to perceive a positive socio-cultural impacts, whereas female was perceive a negative impacts. The results suggest that it is important for policy makers and community leaders to consider social-cultural and economic impact when decision making on development planning.

본 연구는 장애 발생이 경제·사회·문화적 배제에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 살펴보고, 이들 변수 간의 관계에 있어서 사회환경이 조절변수로서 역할을 하는지에 대해 경험적으로 검증해 봄으로써 신규 장애인을 위한 이론적 정책적 시사점을 도출하는데 연구 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 이 연구에서는 장애인들을 표본추출하여 신규 장애인의 경제·사회·문화적 배제와 사회환경의 조절효과를 분석하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 신규장애자의 장애 발생은 경제적 영역에서 배제효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 둘째, 사회문화적 영역에서도 배제효과가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 장애 발생에 따른 경제·사회문화적 배제효과에 있어서 사회적 지지의 조절효과가 큰 것으로 나타나, 사회적 지지는 장애 발생이 장애인의 사회적 배제에 미치는 부정적인 영향을 줄이는데 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구에서는 이러한 분석결과를 토대로 장애인에 대한 사회적 지지를 제고시켜주기 위한 정책적 시사점을 제시하였다. 첫째, 장애인에 대한 인식개선 프로그램을 개발하여 어린 시기부터 실천되어야 할 것이다. 둘째, 장애인에 대한 인식 개선을 위해 민간부문을 통한 사회적 캠페인이 적극적으로 추진되어야 할 것이다. 셋째, 장애인들을 위한 공공정책이 물질적 지원뿐만 아니라 정서적 지원으로까지 더욱 확대·강화되어야 할 것이다.

본 논문은 스포츠 이벤트(2005 제천 산악마라톤 대회) 개최로 인한 사회문화적 영향요인분석을 실증분석 하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 요인분석결과 긍정적 영향에 대한 19개의 질문 항목이 5개의 요인으로 나타났고, 부정적 영향에 대한 9개의 질문 항목이 2개의 요인으로 나타났다. 구체적으로 $20\sim30$대의 젊은 연령층과 서비스산업종사자들은 긍정적 영향을 많이 받은 것으로 나타났다. 이는 스포츠 이벤트의 긍정적 영향 요인이 나이와 직업에서 의미 있는 차이가 있음을 보여준다. 그러므로 스포츠 이벤트에 대한 사회 문화적 특징은 지역사회 구성원에게 서로 다른 영향을 미치고 있다.

Drawing on social and cultural capital theory, the study investigates the influences of social capital and cultural capital on the academic achievement of children in out-of-home care. We collected data from 494 children living in out-of-home services, including institutional care facilities, foster care homes, and group homes. To analyze the collected data, a multiple regression analysis method was used. In addition, the IV (instrumental-variables) estimation was utilized to rule out the possibility of reverse causality. The level of children's social capital was measured through children's relationships with parents and friends, parental monitoring, etc. The level of children's cultural capital was measured by their cultural activities, such as going to museums, and playing musical instruments. Children's personal characteristics and placement history in out-of-home services were used as control variables. We found that among personal characteristic variables, self-esteem, depression and anxiety, and delinquency affected the academic achievement of the children. Cultural capital, but not social capital, positively affected the level of academic achievement of the children. Based on the study results, implications for child welfare practice were discussed.

Our overall society circulates in line with the economical situations characterized by production and consumption and companies play the role of providing products and services, thus taking very significant responsibilities for the socioeconomical and cultural aspects in society. Therefore, when designers attempt to think of a way to enable companies and society to share their values and propose specific concepts and visualize outcomes, it is very critical to be able to understand economical philosophy and management strategies that interconnect companies with society and seek out proper design approaches. Recently, the world's enterprise and management culture tend to connect products and services provided by companies through chains of social values. Based on the abovementioned shift in the management paradigm, the researcher investigates and analyzes actual cases of attempts by Samsung Electronics to achieve its social impacts and studies actual roles and approaches of in-house designers with creativity and insights of humanity with regard to these attempts. Each case is selected from various fields such as the company's products and service development, business systems, culture, and external strategies and the ultimate goal is to learn about actual insights and approaches of designers to make contributions to the company's management with social impacts. Especially, humanity and creative thinking of many designers working in the manufacturing industry can have significant contributions to achieving its management with social impacts and effects of sustainable management.

Our work empirically investigates the cultural differences of Social Networking Service (SNS) users in China, Korea and U.S. We construct a survey questionnaire from existing literature and test it for reliability, validity, and model fit. Then we collect data and validate the cultural differences of SNS users in three nations. Our results show different rankings from existing literature in cultural dimensions about three nations. In terms of masculinity, we find China > U.S. > Korea, similar to Hofstede. In individualism, we find U.S. > Korea > China, different from Hofstede (U.S. > China > Korea). In power distance, it is shown that Korea > China > U.S., different from Hofstede (China > Korea > U.S.). Uncertainty avoidance is found that U.S. > Korea > China, lowered ranking of Korea from the top among three nations in Hofstede. We find that these outcomes would be useful in updating national culture of the three nations and for future research about cultural impacts on SNS adoption.

본 연구는 사행산업으로써 강원랜드의 사회공헌활동(Corporate Social Responsibility)이 지역주민에게 주는 사회 문화적 파급효과에 주목하였다. 특히 문화적으로 소외된 지역인 폐광지역의 주민들에게 문화 활동을 장려하면서 나타난 영향을 고찰하여 앞으로 카지노 산업의 지속성장과 지역사회를 위해 나아가야할 발전적인 방향을 모색하고자 한다. 연구 대상은 폐광지역 내 태백, 고한 사북 지역 중심으로 지역주민 185명이다. 설문조사를 통해 먼저, 응답자의 인구통계학적 특성을 조사하였고 이에 따른 강원랜드에 대한 사회공헌활동 인식 수준과 만족도, 사회 문화적인 영향, 마지막으로 사회공헌활동에 따른 부정적 이미지 쇄신 등에 대해 분석하였다. 조사 결과, 지역주민들은 대체적으로 강원랜드의 사회공헌활동에 대해 인식하고 있었으며, 이에 대한 만족도 역시 높았다. 또한 삶의 질 역시 카지노 개발 이후 좋아졌다고 하였다.

This paper fills a gap in smart tourism research by investigating the link between online representations and their physical counterparts. This sort of phenomenology visualizes a doubled cultural mimesis that can be described by the story of the ship of Theseus, where the original is replaced by an ongoing process of installing new components. In this sense, social reality is conceptualized as having real cultural events and the production of cultural items as well as having digital reproductions that appear and circulate online. These are accessed by a variety of platforms where reality is simulated onsite through augmented reality technology or remotely through forms of virtual reality. This paper seeks to frame and to present this notion and its potential impacts on destination culture particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic in Korea.

본 연구는 노인의 인적자본, 경제자본, 문화자본이 성공적 노화에 미치는 영향에서 사회활동참여가 매개효과를 가지는지 검증하고자 시행되었다. 연구를 위하여 부산지역에 거주하는 65세 이상의 노인 356명을 대상으로 설문조사하였으며, 구조방정식 모형을 적용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노인자본 중 인적자본과 문화자본은 사화활동참여에 영향을 미치지만 경제자본은 영향이 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 노인자본 중 경제자본은 성공적 노화에 영향을 미치지만 인적자본과 문화자본은 영향이 나타나지 않았다. 셋째, 사회활동참여는 성공적 노화에 영향을 미친다. 넷째, 노인자본 중 인적자본, 경제자본, 문화자본은 모두 사회활동참여를 매개하여 성공적 노화에 영향을 미친다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 성공적 노화를 위한 노인의 자본과 사회활동을 향상시킬 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

소셜네트워크 시스템(SNS)은 긍정적인 영향과 부정적인 영향을 동시에 주고 있으며, 사람들의 생활과 뗄 수 없는 존재가 된 지 오래되었다. 본 연구에서는 서로 다른 문화권 남녀들의 SNS 피로감을 분석함과 동시에 그러한 피로감이 SNS를 중단하려는 의도와는 어떠한 관계가 있는지도 알아봤다. 연구결과, (a) 여성들이 SNS 활동으로 인한 상대적 박탈감과 평판 걱정, (b) 동양 문화권의 참여자들은 관계 부담, (c) 서양 문화권의 참여자들은 사생활 염려에 관한 피로감을 느끼고 있는 것으로 드러났다. 마지막으로 SNS 피로감과 중단 의도는 통계적인 유의한 관계가 없었으며, 이는 사람들이 피로감을 느낌에도 불구하고 SNS를 중단하고 싶은 마음은 없다는 것으로 해석된다. 이번 연구에서 문화와 성별이 SNS에 대한 사람들의 피로감에 영향을 준다는 것을 밝혔으며, 피로감에도 불구하고 일부의 사람들만이 SNS를 중단한다는 것이 드러났다.
