  • 현재 스마트폰은 보편화가 되며 APP 산업도 신속하게 발전하고 있다. APP 아이콘의 디자인도 미니멀리즘이 점점 업계에서 주류가 되고 있다. 미니멀리즘 APP아이콘은 간결함, 세련된 종합적인 디자인을 이용하여 풍부한 내용 및 본질적 특성을 전달하고 있다. 본 논문은 실제 생활서비스로 APP아이콘으로 연구 대상으로 삼고 사례를 분석하며 미니멀리즘 스마트폰 APP아이콘을 표현 방법 및 주의상황을 요약하였다.

  • According to popularization of smart phones, we can easily see the QR code attached to products. Restaurants also provide customers with store information using QR code. Sixteen years have passed since QR code was developed. In Korea, QR code has been widely utilized in the field of marketing because of easiness of technique implementation and channel expansion to mobile. However, to recognize QR code, we should run the proper application and focus on it during loading time. To address this problem, this paper proposes the app to manage store information using NFC technology. The proposed app saves easily store information through the name card of a store and facilitates its management obtained by a smart phone.

  • This study focused on mobile trend in diffusion of smart phone. Presently, it has been evolved from digital nomad to smart nomad. Smart nomad era is based on digital technology with mobility and being smart. Smart nomad that is made up high-end device and intellectual content has changed structure of industry and life style. Smart phone is a core key in smart nomad era. In 2010 smart phone has been distributed about 2.5 hundreds million which is 20% of whole mobile phone sales and the volume of smart phone sales will be getting bigger and bigger in near future. Although, there are various reasons for success of smart phone market, this research focused 4 reasons: first, development of mobile device, second, evolution of mobile content distribution, third, support of government system, fourth, success of Docomo i-mode and Apple i phone. Smart phone will grow up more rapidly. Smart phone eco-system will be more competitive in the world. In Korea, smart phone eco-system also will be very competitive. For success in the middle of this competitive environment, Korea should lead the competitive phase with development of ability of creation software and content, construction of various partnership and evolution of next generation technology and service.

A Study on the Impact of the App-Book Purchasing Behavior of Smart phone Users in Korea (국내 스마트폰 사용자들의 앱북 구매행위에 미치는 영향요인 연구)

  • In order to research the factors influencing on the intentions for smart phone users to purchase "App-Book" in Korea, the study examines the levels of influences using on an additional variable, "cost", as well as the four key variables(performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions) proposed by Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology(UTAUT; Venkatesh et al., 2003) validation. The result of the research confirms that the hypotheses of UTAUT model variable are generally supported by the information technology and many related previous researches. There is one exception, however, that facilitating conditions do not influence on the App-Book purchasing behavior by smart phone. It is revealed that the "age" and "experience" of the independent variables, as the proposed control variables, are most visible effect of control on the purchase intention and purchase behavior. This study has an academic significance of presenting a new integrated model to perform the research of the similar next App-Book services and purchase behavior related to the acceptance of new media. It also clarifies to the related companies that the usefulness of App-Book, the easiness of use, the cost and the social influence of purchasing App-Book by Outsider's intent. These aspects have practical implications as being presented.

  • A human resource/labor management is a management activity to achieve the goal of an employee. To do this, it is required to measure the time of diligence/indolence effectively. However, existing diligence/indolence systems have the problems which require high costs for building the systems and have many unnecessary functions for small business or self-employed business. In this paper, we design and implement the diligence/indolence system using a smart phone of an employee. To measure the data of the diligence/indolence, the implemented system exploits the MAC addresses of both a smart phone and a access point of WiFi.

Development of Dementia Screening Application Using Urine Test and Bionic Sensors (소변검사와 생체센서를 이용한 치매 스크리닝 애플리케이션 개발)

  • In this paper, we have developed smart-phone App(application) for screening Dementia using bionic sensors, urine test and questionnaire. Since small amounts of urinary protein strongly predict faster cognitive decline in the elderly, smart-phone based urinalysis is adopted to screen dementia more accurately as well as bionic sensors such as $SpO_2$ and HRV(Heart Rate Variability). Firstly, DI(Dementia Index) is calculated from urinalysis, two bionic sensors and electric questionnaire, and then compared to the threshold from clinical test. Finally the results of Dementia screening is shown in your smart-phone and useful information to prevent or relieve Dementia is also given. We performed simple testing on persons aged over 60 and found out the proposed application can be useful devices for screening Dementia easily and quickly.

  • According to the rapid growth and popularization of the SMART device, the society is being changed greatly and importance of SW education is being emphasized. Also many student have a lot of interests about mobile application programming. The latest study suggests using the robots in the programming education may help to induce learners' interest and motivation, participation, achievement. So in this research, I designed a programming educational plan for SW education using robot and mobile application development tool(App Inventor) and applied them. And I conducted a survey four ares such as class, robot, App Inventor, robot and App Inventor. As a result, learner's response of interest and satisfaction was very positive commonly at four areas. In particular, learners could get programming result immediately using smart phone and could control the robot using smart phone, so learner's interest had increased especially. The conclusion is that suggested plan for SW education using robot and mobile application development tool is useful for programming education.

  • With a rapid growth of hardware and product material industries, evolution of handheld terminal technologies is progressed. Various applications using mobile phone are the major trend in recent smart applications. Especially, interesting applications using camera module in a smartphone are developed continuously, mobile users are able to use various useful mobile applications nowadays. In this paper, we design and implement smartphone app for measuring real size of the shooting object in the image taken by a camera module in a smartphone precisely. We implement 4 different shooting modes for precise measurement of objects and 0 point control module is developed to minimize the differences of shooting images taken by different types and systems of various smartphones. The smartphone app proposed and implemented in this paper is analyzed and evaluated by a simulation study.

  • Various applications are developed with the extension of the smart phone market. This affects the change of contents and market for mobile advertisement. Mobile advertisement has been changed from the text type in feature phone environment to banner type which are added on the applications and branded app which are application itself for commercials. This research shows the difference in views between users and professions for the factors which affects the acceptance of mobile advertisement in smart phone environment. The analysis results present two groups have significant differences in the views for the users' acceptances of mobile advertisement. This research provides the important factors which need to be considers in creating mobile commercials. It also suggests that professions in advertisement field have to consider the aspects of smart phone users when they create advertisements in smart phone environment.

Design of a Middleware for Android-based Smart Phone Applications (안드로이드 기반 스마트 폰 응용을 위한 미들웨어 설계)

  • With the rapid growth of smart phone technologies, mobile user's demands for using services provided by existing web or portal cites are highly increased. These services, however, are designed for the environment of desktop PCs or laptops in general, so it requires lots of costs for corrections and has difficulties for system protection to use in current mobile devices. In this paper, we design and implement a middleware for android-based smart phone apps to cooperate with a portal system with minimum corrections and function configuration. Our middleware system is working as an interface between an existing portal system and mobile devices to provide harmonious usage and safe system protection.
