  • Purpose - In hotel industry, quality of leader-member exchange(LMX) relationship is very critical, because it impacts on the employee's work attitude and behaviors. Thus, this research examines the effect of LMX on employee loyalty in the context of hotel business and identifies mediating roles of work stressors, work role performance in the relationship between LMX and employee loyalty. This research suggests the guidelines for how hotel leaders should manage their employees and build employee loyalty that improve management and business performance. Research design, data, and methodology - This study tests the structural relationship between LMX, work stressors, work role performance, and employee loyalty. Work role performance divide into three sub-dimensions such as individual task proficiency, individual task adaptivity, and individual task proactivity. In order to examine the purposes of this research, research model and hypotheses were developed. All constructs were measured with multiple items developed and tested in the previous studies. The data were collected from 113 franchise hotel employees and were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 and SmartPLS 3 program. Result - The findings of this research are as follows. First, leader-member exchange(LMX) have significant positive impacts on work stressors, work role performance, and employee loyalty. Second, work stressors have significant negative impacts on work role performance and employee loyalty. Third, work role performance has significant positive impact on employee loyalty. Conclusions - The outcomes of this research indicate that hotel leaders should focus on the dyadic relationship with their employees how to improve employee productivity through LMX relationship. In turn, the quality of this relationship influences employees's work attitudes and behaviors. As a result of increasing job demands in hotel business which relies heavily on human resources, the hotel leader must find ways to prevent or reduce stressors and associated strains. If hotel employees perceive the high quality of LMX relationship, they improve their work role performance which influences loyalty. Therefore, the hotel leaders should develop monetary or non-monetary reward system for the employees and, make an efforts to have unique social exchange relationships with employees.

  • Despite the limitations of existing security policies due to technological development, companies are unable to actively respond to changes by maintaining a closed security policy. This study classified information security policy into three types: regulatory type policy, advisory type policy, and informative type policy. For each classified policy type, the effect on the information security policy compliance behavior of organizational members was investigated by applying the extended theory of planned behavior, and the moderating effect of information security stress was investigated. SmartPLS 2.0 and SPSS 21.0, which are structural equation modeling techniques, were used to analyze the relationship affecting each factor. As a result of the study, regulatory type, advisory type, and informative type security policies affected organizational members' information security policy compliance behavior, and security stress had an effect on information security compliance attitudes and subjective norms on information security, which are prerequisites for planned behavior theory. gave. This study suggests that various types of corporate information security policies can be applied and that security stress can affect information security behaviors of members.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the structural relationship between depression, self-esteem, and social withdrawal that affect academic helplessness in adolescents. The study sample was 2,265 first-year students of high school in the fourth year (2021) data from the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey 2018. In this study, data were analyzed by a structural equation model based on the partial least squares method using SmartPLS 3.0. Results indicated that depression and social withdrawal had a significant positive effect on adolescents' academic helplessness, and self-esteem had a significant negative effect. In addition, social withdrawal had a significant positive mediating effect on the relationship between depression and academic helplessness. Therefore, it is required strategies that consider the relationship between depression, self-esteem, and social withdrawal to approach adolescents' academic helplessness.

  • This study examines the role of Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) activity recognition on job satisfaction, prosocial activities, and job performance among customer representatives working in call center environments. After gathering data from 264 call center workers in major South Korean insurance companies, the analysis w as performed using SmartPLS 4.0. This study's findings reveal that employee recognition of ESG activities significantly enhanced job satisfaction. The impact of ESG activity recognition on prosocial behavior was positive but relatively weak. Job satisfaction influences both prosocial behavior and the job performance of employees. Finally, prosocial behavior positively influences job performance. The most significant finding is that employees' recognition of companies' ESG management practices serves as a job resource. • The Fintech services provide innovation to financial services users using various mobile devices and computers in wired and wireless communication environments. In this study, we develope a theoretical research framework to explain the psychology of Fintech services users based on a cognitive, affective, and conative framework. Using this framework, this study analyzes the relationships between the cognitive characteristics (i.e., innovation, relative advantage, ease of use, and usefulness), emotional characteristic (i.e., attitude), and behavioral characteristic (i.e., actual use) toward Fintech services users. This study conducted an online survey of people who have experienced using Fintech services. And the data of the collected Fintech services users was analyzed using structural equation model software (i.e., SMART PLS 2.0 M3). The results of the empirical analysis show the relationships between innovation, relative advantage, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude, and actual use of Fintech service users. The results of this study provide useful information to improve the practical use of Fintech services users in the Internet of Things (IoT) environment.

  • This study analyzes the impact of digital strategy on firm performance through relational behavior, cognitive dimensions, and continuous digital transformation based on social capital theory. The research model was tested using data collected from a survey of 300 domestic corporate employees who have worked for over a year, conducted from February 20 to 23, 2024, using Smart PLS 4.0. The key findings of the study are as follows: First, it was confirmed that digital strategy plays a crucial role in promoting cooperation and interaction within the organization, enhancing members' understanding and perception of digital technology, and strengthening the firm's competitiveness through continuous change and innovation. Second, continuous digital transformation and cognitive dimensions positively impact firm performance, while the influence of relational behavior dimensions was found to be insignificant. These findings suggest that digital strategy can significantly affect firm performance by fostering interaction and perception changes within the organization, beyond mere technology adoption, and provide strategic implications for Korean firms to effectively pursue digital transformation.

  • In this study, we investigated the effect of offline banking trust on smart banking trust. As influencing factors of smart banking trust, this study compared offline banking trust, smart banking's system quality, and information quality. For the empirical study, 186 questionnaire data were collected from smart banking users and the data were analyzed using Smart-PLS 2.0. As results, it was verified that there is trust transfer in FinTech service, by the significant effect of offline banking trust on smart banking trust. And it was proved that the effect of offline banking trust on smart banking trust is lower than that of smart banking itself. The contribution of this study can be seen in both academic and industrial aspects. First, it is the contribution of the academic aspect. Previous studies on banking were focused on either offline banking or smart banking. But this study, focus on the relationship between offline banking and online banking, proved that offline banking trust affects smart banking trust. Next, it is the industrial contribution. This study showed that offline banking characteristics of traditional commercial banks affect the trust of emerging smart banking service. This means that the emerging FinTech companies are not advantageous in the competition of trust building compared to traditional commercial banks. Unlike traditional commercial banks, the emerging FinTech is innovating the convenience of customers by arming them with new technologies such as mobile Internet, social network, cloud technology, and big data. However, these FinTech strengths alone can not guarantee sufficient trust needed for financial transactions, because banking customers do not change a habit or an inertia that they already have during using traditional banks. Therefore, emerging FinTech companies should strive to create destructive value that reflects the connection with various Internet services and the strength of online interaction such as social services, which have an advantage over customer contacts. And emerging FinTech companies should strive to build service trust, focused on young people with low resistance to new services.
