The smart cities are evolving constantly and are responsible for the current transformation of cities and countries into a completely connected network of information and technology This interconnected network of a huge number of smart devices is capable of exchanging complex information and provides tremendous support including enhanced quality of life within urban locations. Unfortunately this set-up is vulnerable to security attacks and requires the widespread ubiquitous network to authorize access through privacy and thus offer security in order to ensure civilian participation in a country. The smart network should benefit the individuals of the country by developing potential strategies to protect the smart cities and their participating entities from the unauthorized attacks. Trustworthy data sharing strategies based on the utilization of advanced technology features via smart communication network could solve some issues of privacy and security. This paper presents the challenges and issues related to protection and highlights the important aspects of securing the smart cities and its components. It also presents the role of cloud security for building a secure smart city.

스마트도시의 다양한 융합기술 분야는 효율성과 생산성을 혁신적으로 높이는 4차 산업혁명 시대의 미래 먹거리로서, 성장이 멈춰버린 선진국이나 우리나라에 있어, 기존산업군의 성장 한계를 극복할 수 있는 중요한 대안이라 할 수 있다. 특히 최근 산업 발전과 함께 인구의 집중으로 도시화가 급격하게 진행되고 있는 아세안 국가를 중심으로 신도시 건설을 통해 스마트도시를 구축하는 것에 관심이 고조되고 있으며, 아세안 국가들의 본격적인 스마트도시화가 진행되고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 목적은 스마트도시 관련 기업의 현황을 분석하고 우선 순위가 높은 스마트도시 기술을 발굴하여 산업 활성화와 해외수출을 위한 전략적 접근 방안을 제시하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 선행연구를 통해 스마트도시 이론과 아세안 스마트도시에 대해 고찰하고, 국내 스마트도시 기술을 보유한 기업의 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사 결과, 국내 스마트도시 기술 보유기업은 해외수출 참여 의지가 높으며, 건설, 교통, 그린·에너지 등의 기술 분야와 IoT, 플랫폼, AI 등의 서비스 유형에서 우선순위가 높았다. 또한 해외수출 활성화 방안으로, 1)규제완화와 인센티브, 2)글로벌 인재육성, 3)정보제공 및 현지 네트워크 강화, 4)재정 및 홍보지원을 통한 전략적 접근 방안을 도출하였다.

스마트 시티는 정보통신기술의 혁신과 도시 생활의 질 향상을 추구하는 현대 도시 계획의 산물이다. 스마트 시티의 효율적인 운영을 위해서는 실시간 수집되고 저장 및 처리되는 데이터가 핵심자원이다. 따라서 다양한 분야에서 수집되는 스마트 시티의 데이터는 안전하게 관리되어야 하며, 개인정보보호가 무엇보다 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 스마트 시티의 데이터를 안전하게 관리하기 위하여 블록체인 기술을 이용한 스마트 시티 데이터 보안 모델을 제안하였다. 제안 모델은 블록체인 네트워크에 IPFS를 통합하여 데이터를 분산 저장함으로써 데이터의 기밀성과 무결성을 확보하고, CP-ABE를 이용하여 데이터를 암호화하여 사용자로부터 데이터의 접근제어가 효율적으로 수행되도록 하였다. 또한 데이터 접근 제어 정책과 동형 암호를 사용함으로써 데이터의 활용성을 강화하면서 프라이버시를 보장하도록 하였다.

효율적인 에너지 운영을 목표로 하는 스마트 그리드는 인간의 삶의 질의 향상을 목표로 하는 스마트 시티의 일부로 자리 잡을 것이다. 이 논문에서는 성숙된 스마트 그리드의 모습이 스마트 시티에 자연스럽게 통합되는 모습임을 논증한다. 또한, 스마트 시티의 핵심 구성요소로서 스마트 그리드의 모습을 그리고, 이에 필요한 제도, 인프라, 기술 요소에 대한 문헌을 조사한다.

본 논문에서는 스마트시티에 대한 사용자 인증을 통합하여 수행하는 UTOPIA 스마트시티 보안 관리 시스템을 소개한다. 스마트시티 관리 시스템은 엄청난 수의 사용자와 서비스를 관리해야하며 하나하나 개별적으로 신중하게 관리해야하므로, 특별히 고안된 보안 관리가 필요하다. UTOPIA는 ICT 기반의 스마트시티 시스템으로서 UTOPIA 포탈 시스템과, UTOPIA 프로세싱 시스템, UTOPIA 인프라 시스템의 삼 단계 구조를 가지고 있다. UTOPIA 프로세싱 시스템은 SmartUM이라고 명명된 스마트시티 미들웨어를 기반으로 한다. UTOPIA 스마트시티 보안관리 시스템은 SmartUM 미들웨어의 최상층 계층인 어플리케이션 보안 계층과 최하위계층인 인프라 보안 계층에 구현되어져 있다. UTOPIA 스마트시티 보안관리 시스템은 현존하는 모든 사용자 인증 기술을 지원한다는 원칙하에 제작되었다. 본 논문에서는 어플리케이션 보안 계층을 소개하고, 어플리케이션 보안 계층에서의 인증관리에 대하여 설명한다.

본 연구의 목적은 국내 주요 도시의 스마트시티 수준을 분석하는 것이다. 연구는 문헌고찰, 평가지표 구축, 평가지표 가중치 분석, 지자체 스마트시티 수준 분석, 결론의 순서로 진행되었다. 스마트시티 수준 분석을 위한 평가지표는 다층형 스마트시티 모델(Multi-Layered Smart City Model)의 STIM 구조(Service, Technology, Infrastructure, Management Layered Architecture)기반으로 구축되었다. 평가지표는 스마트시티 개념, 사례, 빅데이터 분석 등을 통해 구축되었고, 전문가 AHP 설문을 통해 가중치가 부여되었다. 연구의 공간 범위는 서울 등 7대 광역시이며, 시간 범위는 2017년~2019년이다. 연구에 사용된 데이터는 KOSIS, KISDISTAT 등의 공공데이터이다. 평가결과는 다음과 같다. 스마트시티 서비스, 기술, 인프라, 관리의 수준은 수도권인 서울과 인천이 비교적 높은 수준으로 분석되었다. 영남권인 부산, 대구, 울산이 비교적 중간 수준으로 분석되었으며 충남권과 호남권인 대전과 광주가 비교적 낮은 수준으로 분석되었다. STIM 종합순위 또한 비슷한 양상을 보인다. 특히 수도권과 그 외 권역의 스마트시티 수준 격차가 매우 큰 것으로 분석되었다. 국내 스마트시티 수준 격차를 줄이기 위해 균형발전 전략이 필요하며, 지역별 특성을 고려한 스마트시티 계획이 필요하다.

An amazing growth in the field of Internet of Things (IoT) and Blockchain based smart cities from both industry and academia has been witnessed in the recent years. There are many smart applications such as intelligent transportation, smart banking, improving the life style of citizen, energy consumption and managing the waste in the city, handling home needs are supporting the Smart city concept. These applications are profoundly supported by the advanced technologies like Blockchain as well as IoT in the recent past. Smart cities can be supported by the Blockchain core concepts such as secure, transparent, decentralized and immutable nature. Still, Blockchain and IoT technologies implementation in smart cities are in their early stages and significant research efforts are desirable to integrate them. This review article explores the roles and responsibilities of Blockchain and IoT in building smart cities.

This paper aims to presents the overview of research in the sustainable smart cities development domain. It investigates the key challenges of the sustainable smart cities development that faced by the developers from different countries. The qualitative research method via the interview is conducted to collect the data. 10 experts on the sustainable smart cities development project were interviewed in this study. The results indicate that there are 12 sustainable smart cities development challenges named: (1) budgetary constraint; (2) lack of resources; (3) lack of institutional capacity to deliver technology; (4) lack of systems integration; (5) social acceptability; (6) lack of awareness level in the smart city development among residents; (7) the need to drive towards content development; (8) lack of strategically approach in the smart city transformation; (9) disagreement on standardizing the smart city model; (10) lack of overarching institution to create the governance structure; (11) lack of sustainable focused strategies; and (12) lack of the smart city operational framework. Furthermore, the solutions framework for these challenges was proposed as the guidelines to overcome or minimize them.

현대 도시는 다양한 도시 문제에 대응하기 위해 적극적으로 스마트시티 서비스를 도입하고 있다. 공간정보는 스마트시티의 기반 인프라로 작용하며, 도시의 지속 가능한 발전을 촉진한다. 공간정보의 표준화와 활용이 증가함에 따라 스마트시티의 효율적인 운영과 지속가능성이 향상되는데, 이를 위해서는 다양한 이해관계자들간의 협력을 통한 최적의 공간정보 기반 스마트시티 서비스 제공이 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 교통 및 건축-에너지 도메인 중심의 스마트시티 서비스를 공간정보 기술의 생애주기 기반으로 정의하고, 이를 공간정보 표준에 적용하고 활용하는 중요성을 강조한다. 또한, 공간정보 표준기반 스마트시티(SCGI, Smart City based on Geospatial Information standards) 프레임워크를 제안하여, 공간정보 표준에 매핑 가능한 스마트시티 서비스의 표준화에 관한 인사이트를 제시하였다. 본 연구는 공간정보 표준을 활용하여 커스터마이징된 솔루션을 제공함으로써 스마트시티 서비스의 표준화를 위한 새로운 패러다임을 제시하며, 스마트시티의 미래 발전 가능성을 논의한다.

Purpose: The importance of creativity has been emphasized in the transition from industrial society to knowledge-based society. Recently, design thinking has attracted great attention as one of the ways to increase the creativity of the organization. From the perspective of solving urban problems through collaboration between technology and citizens, the active participation of citizens is indispensable for realizing smart cities. Research design, data and methodology: From the perspective of solving urban problems through collaboration between technology and citizens, the active participation of citizens is indispensable for realizing smart cities. Results: Therefore, the purpose of this research was to design a citizen-participation type system and contents using a specific space to realize a smart city. This system utilizes the concept of space as a tool to promote innovation activities with the participation of citizens and makes it easy for users of space to participate based on urban problems derived from living labs and the internal structure and user flow line have been designed. Conclusions: It was been also used voice recognition, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and big data as important technologies for experiencing smart cities. The system and content were designed with an emphasis on allowing citizens to directly recognize and experience smart city technology, especially through space-based information visualization and multi-faceted stimulus elements.
