Purpose: The purpose of the present study was to assess the effectiveness of a nursing skills enhancement program in improving the self-efficacy and self-esteem of senior nursing students. Methods: This was a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design study that enrolled 306 senior nursing students. The nursing students were randomly assigned to an experimental(n=132) or control group (n=174), and students assigned to the experimental group completed a nursing skills enhancement program, which consisted of four skills training components: IV infusion, enema, $O_2$ therapy by means of cannulation and urinary catheterization. Data were analyzed with frequency, the chi-squared test, and the paired t-test using the SPSS/pc 15.0 statistical program. Results: Our results showed that the self-esteem and self-efficacy of nursing students who were assigned to the nursing skills enhancement program were significantly better compared to those of nursing students in the control group (t=10.198 and t=6.452, for self-efficacy and self-esteem, respectively, p<.001 for both variables). Conclusion: Our findings clearly show that a nursing skills enhancement program is effective in improving the self-efficacy and self-esteem of senior nursing students.

This research aims to develop a model to objectively and quantitatively measure the skill level of aircraft body assembly workers. Because aircraft body assembly is predominantly a manual process, skills management is a key factor of manufacturing competitiveness. Currently, skills management relies on the subjective judgment of supervisors, which lacks objectivity and reliability. As a remedy, this study proposed a systematic skill management model based on objective and quantitative evaluation criteria. By considering prior research, we developed an evaluation model that takes into account both expertise and versatility of a worker. The model selected five major tasks required for aircraft body assembly and established evaluation criteria considering the difficulty and maturity of each task. We then conducted a pilot evaluation with over 200 workers in four SMEs to validate the practicality and effectiveness of the model. Consequently, we identified and addressed the limitations of the existing evaluation method, subdivided the skill levels based on the performance capabilities of each task, and proposed a career growth path. The developed evaluation model offers critical data for executives and managers to determine work assignments, education, training, performance incentives, and wages. It is expected to enhance the attraction of new talent and systematize skills management in aviation manufacturing in the future.

The study examines the influence of individual characteristics, training content, and manager support on the effectiveness of on-the-job (OJT) training in the banking and finance industry. A simple random sampling technique was used to select the samples. Questionnaires were distributed to respondents in order to obtain the data. Using cross-sectional data obtained from 396 respondents in Bank A in Malaysia, the multiple regression results show that self-efficacy, motivation to learn, training content, and manager support have positive influence on OJT training effectiveness. Among all these factors, manager support is very highly correlated with OJT training effectiveness. The findings have given fruitful insight of the crucial roles of OJT training in the respective bank, particularly to bring forward the roles of systematic design and implementation of OJT training. This study is not only expanding knowledge in OJT and training, but offers managers practical insights in developing good OJT training program by considering employees need, capabilities, skills and job requirement. Furthermore, this study also provides a valuable framework in identifying the effectiveness of OJT training program for certain jobs. Further discussion of the research findings and its implications to theoretical knowledge of training and managers are promised at the end of the article.

PURPOSE: This study examined the effects of mild-intensity exercise (MIE) and high-intensity interval exercise (HIIE) on the recovery of the motor function over time in sciatic nerve crush injury rats. METHODS: The MIE group ran on a treadmill at a speed of 8.3 m/min to perform low-intensity training with maximum oxygen uptakes ranging from 40 to 50%. The HIIE group ran on the treadmill at a speed of 25 m/min to perform high-intensity training with a maximum oxygen uptake of 80%. The interval training was performed based on a 1:1 work-to-rest ratio. The effects of each form of exercise on the rats' walking abilities following their recovery from the peripheral nerve injuries were evaluated based on the results of behavior tests performed at one and 14 days. RESULTS: According to the test results, the MIE group showed significant improvements in the rats' ankle angle in the initial stance phase, and in the ankle and knee angles in the toe-off phase (p<.05). The HIIE group exhibited significant improvements in the ankle and knee angles in the initial stance phase, SFI(p<.05). CONCLUSION: The state of such patients can be improved by applying the results of this study in that MIE and HIIE on a treadmill can contribute to the recovery of the peripheral nerve and motor skill. In particular, MIE is used as a walking functional training in the toe-off stance phase, while HIIE is suitable in the initial stance stage.

최근 스마트제조에 따른 제어시스템은 제품 이동성, 데이터 호환성, 통신 연계성 등이 매우 중요해지고 있다. 이에 임베디드 시스템은 가전제품, 통신, 국방 등 전 산업분야에서 필수적으로 적용되고 있다. 따라서 임베디드 시스템 개발인력 수요는 더욱 더 증가하는 추세이므로 프로그래밍 능력과 하드웨어를 포함하여 산업현장 실무능력을 겸비한 교육훈련 프로그램이 필요하다. 현재 임베디드 시스템 교육은 아두이노를 활용한 다양한 교육을 수행하고 있지만 이는 비전공자와 초심자 중심이며 임베디드 시스템 전공자 교육과정으로 미약한 실정이다. 또한 임베디드 시스템 기반의 시제품 연구는 활발하지만 산업현장에서 요구하는 실무인재 양성을 위한 교육훈련 프로그램은 매우 미비하다. 따라서 본 논문은 스마트제조 적용을 위한 임베디드 시스템 실무인재 양성을 위해 NCS 기반 전문가 10인의 심층 인터뷰와 설문 분석을 바탕으로 능력단위를 선정하고 교육훈련 프로그램과 컨텐츠를 개발하였다.

본 논문에서는 산업체 수요에 기반한 표준 AI 개발자 직무 교육과정을 제안한다. 이 교육과정의 특징은 산업체와 대학간의 AI 개발자 직무 역량의 미스 매치를 최소화 할 수 있다는 것이다. AI 개발자 직무 교육과정 개발을 위해 산업체 현장에 재직중인 AI 개발자를 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시한다. 이 설문조사에서는 NCS 기반의 5개 AI 개발자 직무 중 산업체 현장의 인력 수요가 많은 AI 개발자 직무를 도출하여 직무분석을 실시한다. 직무분석에서는 해당 직무의 핵심 능력단위요소를 선정하고, 그 핵심 능력단위요소를 수행하기 위해 필요한 지식, 기술, 도구 등을 도출한다. 그리고 지식, 기술, 도구 등을 교육할 수 있는 핵심 교과목과 이수 체계를 도출하여 표준 AI 개발자 직무 교육과정을 개발한다. 그리고 본 논문에서 제안한 표준 AI 개발자 직무 교육과정을 활용한 효율적인 AI 개발자 직무 교육 방안을 제시한다.

Walt Disney Feature Animation released high quality films such as 'Frozen', 'Big Hero 6', 'Wreck-it Ralph', 'Zootopia', 'Moana', 'Frozen 2' and not only got high score in box office but showed great CG and visuals. However, making feature animation requires a lot of time, money, and efforts so it is very important to support studios' artists to finish each show within limited budget and time. This paper shows artists' training program such as 'Short Circuit' and 'Bootcamp' that walt disney feature animation provides their artists to improve their creativity and do their jobs artistically and efficiently. Disney's training program not only provides artists various training classes but gives them chances to work on short animation which enhances artistic skills and enable them to work in different departments and experience different tasks. This paper also explains some training cases of CG studios in South Korea and Disney Animations' in-house tools.

Previous studies on user training have largely focused on assessing models which describe the determinants of information technology usage or examined the effects of training on user satisfaction, productivity, performance, and so on. Scant research efforts have been made, however, to examine those effects of training by using theoretical models. This study presented a conceptual model to predict intention to use information technology and conducted an experiment to understand how training for computer skill acquisition affects primary variables of the model. The data were obtained from 32 student subjects of an experimental group and 31 students of a control group, and the information technology employed for this study was a university's electronic mail system. The study results revealed that attitude toward usage and perceived behavioral control helped to predict user intentions; outcome expectations were positively related to attitude toward usage; and self - efficacy and perceived behavioral control. The changes in those variables suggest more causal effects of user training than other survey studies.

Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the effects of core basic nursing education using cellular phone video recordings on self-confidence in performance, achievement, and practice satisfaction. Methods: The research design was a nonequivalent control group modified and non-synchronized design. The participants were assigned to either the experimental (n=60) or control group (n=67). During one semester, the experimental group received training for 10 selected core basic nursing skills using cellular phone video recording. The control group, also for one semester, received training with traditional practices. Self-confidence in performance and practice satisfaction were measured using a questionnaire, and achievement was evaluated by professors at the conclusion of the semester. Collected data were analyzed using t-test and Pearson correlation coefficients. Results: Self-confidence in performance increased significantly after training in the experimental group (t=7.94, p<.001). The experimental group showed significantly higher self-confidence in performance (t=2.39, p=.018) and achievement (t=2.40, p=.018) compared to the control group. However, the difference in practice satisfaction was not statistically significant. Conclusion: The results indicate that cellular phone video recording is effective in improving self-confidence in performance and achievement of core basic nursing skills.

Our country's sustainable trade growth fundamentally depends on the supply of excellent labors called global trade expert. He or she is required several knowledge and skills not only trade, marketing, information technology, foreign languages but also global mind. Universities have to supply excellent global trade expert to companies according to needs and wants. The object of this paper is to propose some ideas for training of global trade expert of Korea university under global trade environment. First, global companies prefer labors who have not only some skills about specialty and communication skill but also personality on passion, creativity, leadership and so on. Second, The university's curriculum needs to improved in terms of "convergence" and "specialty". In nature, trade major treats lots of subjects such as trade, business adminstration, economics, international law, international commerce, logistics, marketing, etc to catch up changing global business circumstances and companies' needs. Therefore convergence of adjacent field is very important in study and training. Finally, Universities need to use field-specialist to supplement of trade working experience as instructors and practitioners. The concept of convergence and specialty is not separated but harmonious each other.
