대학 내 평생교육시설의 현황과 운영에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Current Situation and the Operation of Lifelong Education Facilities in University)

  • The purpose of this study is to clarify the actual condition of the use and the plan of lifelong education facilities in national university of industry. This article discuses about the basic characteristics of the plan composition and the education programs of 8 lifelong education facilities in national university of industry. The results of this study are summarized as follows; 1) Needed spaces should functionally designed considering that basic and culture lecture, occupation skill and expert education, hobby/amusement/leisure, health/sanitation/sports, tradition culture understanding education among education programs of lifelong education facilities in universities are mainly constituted and occupation skill and expert education among theses are occupied with the most ratio. 2) Expansion of facilities is agent considering the number of students and lectures to be 3.6% from 1.7% of average ratio of continuous dimensions lifelong education facilities of each universities and composition following scale of the lecture room is set by organizing the number of students per lecture to small groups.

S-OJT 성공요인과 예기치 않은 성과에 관한 사례연구 (Case Study on Critical Success Factors and Unexpected Consequences of Structured OJT)

  • Purpose - Recently on-the-job training (OJT) has become the most preferred training and development method with the emergence of the concept that workplace is the best place where learning take place. But many researchers argue that OJT is not helpful for the performance of organization because OJT is not systematic and mostly depend on quality of trainer. Since Jacobs & McGriffin introduced S-OJT (structured OJT), there has been plenty of researches. But most of the researches have focused mainly on employee's attitude and organizational performance caused by S-OJT and neglected a holistic approach of S-OJT as a system. S-OJT need to be analyzed comprehensively to understand training performance because S-OJT is operated as a system consist of input, process, and organizational context. Although S-OJT may create unintended consequences, there were few researches to explore them. Thus, the purpose of this study is to identify the critical success factors for S-OJT and to find unintended consequences of it. Research design, data and methodology - We conducted a case study on M business unit of A company which developed and has been implementing S-OJT program for years. We designed and prepared the process, collected and analyzed data for the study. We set the theoretical framework to analyze the case after reviewing theories and previous studies on S-OJT. We collected and analyzed internal reports and interview results of the employees of the M business unit. We tried to collect as many information as possible to secure the validity of the research results. Results - The critical success factors identified in the study are as follow. First, it is important to select and train proper trainers for S-OJT. Second, it is needed to develop structured training module. Third, organization have to use effective communication system like on-line community. Forth, trainer should have proper skills for training such as facilitating skill, coaching skill, and delivering skill etc. Fifth, proper learning place is needed. Sixth, organizational support is important especially, immediate supervisor support and concern is critical. Eleventh, it is needed to consider situational contexts. Among them, overload to the trainer will affect the effectiveness of S-OJT. In this study, we found an additional unintended consequence. "To teach is the best way to learn." Experience as a trainer give employee an opportunity to organize one's knowledge and skill and to attain facilitation skill, coaching skill, and relation skill. Thus, organization may use S-OJT to train the potential talent. Conclusions - Many organizations introduced S-OJT to train the newcomers because S-OJT drew attention as an important tool to develop employees. Following this trend, there has been increasing number of researches to find the results of S-OJT and identify the determinants of S-OJT success. However, most of the researches concentrated on finding effects of some factors neglecting holistic approach. This study tried to identify critical success factors affecting effectiveness of S-OJT by using case study and find additional unintended consequence. The results of the study will be useful for organizations which have a plan to adopt S-OJT.

Knowledge Discovery in Nursing Minimum Data Set Using Data Mining

  • Purpose. The purposes of this study were to apply data mining tool to nursing specific knowledge discovery process and to identify the utilization of data mining skill for clinical decision making. Methods. Data mining based on rough set model was conducted on a large clinical data set containing NMDS elements. Randomized 1000 patient data were selected from year 1998 database which had at least one of the five most frequently used nursing diagnoses. Patient characteristics and care service characteristics including nursing diagnoses, interventions and outcomes were analyzed to derive the meaningful decision rules. Results. Number of comorbidity, marital status, nursing diagnosis related to risk for infection and nursing intervention related to infection protection, and discharge status were the predictors that could determine the length of stay. Four variables (age, impaired skin integrity, pain, and discharge status) were identified as valuable predictors for nursing outcome, relived pain. Five variables (age, pain, potential for infection, marital status, and primary disease) were identified as important predictors for mortality. Conclusions. This study demonstrated the utilization of data mining method through a large data set with stan dardized language format to identify the contribution of nursing care to patient's health.

거주시설 발달장애인을 위한 작업 기반 마트장보기 훈련 프로그램의 개발 및 효과 (Development and Effectiveness of Occupation Based Grocery Shopping Skill Training Program For The Person with Developmental Disability)

  • 목적 : 발달장애인의 마트장보기 과제의 독립적 수행을 위해 작업 기반 마트장보기 훈련 프로그램을 개발하여 시행하고 효과를 바탕으로 프로그램의 최종 프로토콜을 제안하고 그 효과를 입증하고자 한다. 연구방법 : 작업 기반 마트장보기 훈련 그룹프로그램을 개발한 프로그램에 대해 전문가 내용타당도 평가를 실시한 후 프로토콜을 작성하였다. 이후 발달 장애인 3명에게 소규모 그룹프로그램의 프로토콜을 총 6회기에 걸쳐 적용하였다. 프로그램의 효과는 훈련 전 후 및 5개월 후 3차례에 걸쳐 The Test of Grocery Shopping Skills (TOGSS)를 통해 평가하였다. 연구결과 : 본 연구에서 개발된 작업 기반 마트장보기 훈련 그룹프로그램을 적용한 결과 3명의 대상자 모두 구매하고자 하는 물건의 항목비교 및 크기비교 수행기술에서 향상을 보였으며, 마트에서 장보는 시간이 훈련 전에 비해 감소되는 효과를 보였다. 또한 3명 중 2명의 대상자는 마트 내에서 물건위치 찾기 수행도가 향상되었다. 반면 가격비교는 3명 모두 수행도의 향상을 보이지 않았다. 5개월 후 추적평가 시 대상자 2명은 마트장보기 수행기술이 유지되거나 향상된 모습을 보였고, 1명은 훈련효과가 퇴행하여 독립적으로 마트장보기가 불가능하였다. 결론 : 본 연구에서 개발한 작업 기반 마트장보기 훈련 그룹프로그램은 발달장애인들의 마트장보기 수행 기술 향상에 도움이 된다. 이와 같이 마트장보기 훈련 프로그램은 지적장애인 거주시설에서 활용할 수 있을 것이고, 전문가 내용 타당도 평가를 거쳐 구체적인 프로토콜로 프로그램을 개발하였다는 것이 지역사회 작업치료서비스 분야에 필요한 임상적 의의를 지닌다.

지체장애인의 컴퓨터 접근 평가 시스템 구현 (Implementation of Korea - Computer Access Assessment System (K-CAAS) for Persons with Physical Disabilities)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 지체 뇌병변장애인의 컴퓨터 접근성 향상을 도모하기 위하여 국내 최초 컴퓨터 접근 평가 시스템을 구현하는 것이다. 본 논문에 소개된 한국판 컴퓨터 접근 평가 시스템인 K-CAAS(Korea-Computer Access Assessment System) 소프트웨어는 클릭, 드래그, 메뉴 선택, 스캔, 스위치로 이루어진 다섯 가지 유형의 평가 기능을 가진다. 각각의 평가 기능 테스트는 사용자 개개인의 특성에 따라 구성 설정을 초급, 중급, 고급, 개별적으로 설정 할 수 있으며, 모든 테스트는 사용자의 수준 설정에 따라 기본 값을 가지고 사용자의 능력과 목표에 따라 난이도를 선택 및 조절할 수 있다. 테스트 시에 사용자의 훈련을 위해 임의로 선택할 수 있고, 사용자의 테스트 결과를 추적할 수 있다. 따라서, K-CAAS는 컴퓨터 접근성 평가, 뿐만 아니라 장애인의 컴퓨터 사용 능력 향상을 위한 재활 프로그램으로 사용이 가능하며 본 시스템을 통하여 향후 장애인의 컴퓨터 접근성이 향상되어 장애인이 스스로 컴퓨터 기능을 능숙하게 사용 할 수 있을 것을 기대한다.

기술변화에 따른 IT 서비스업의 숙련 미스매칭 분석 (An Analysis for the Skill Mismatching of IT Service Sector by Technology Changes)

  • 본 연구는 급격한 기술 변화의 흐름 속에서 IT서비스업 분야의 스킬 미스매칭에 대해 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 전문가 집단에 대한 심층 인터뷰 방식으로 연구가 진행되었다. 숙련노동의 수요자인 기업이 바라보는 IT 산업의 현황과 숙련노동의 공급과 관련된 교육자들이 바라보는 시각에 일부 차이가 있었다. 숙련에 대한 분석 도구로 중요도와 만족도에 대해 5점 척도를 사용하였다. 매칭이 이루어진 경우 주어진 항목들에 대한 중요도의 평균은 3.7점이었고, 만족도의 평균은 3.4점으로, 채용한 인력에 대해 어느 정도의 차이가 존재한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 한편 비전공자 교육생의 숙련도 수준에 대해서는 중요도의 평균이 3.79점이었으나, 만족도의 평균은 3.12점이었다. 학력, 학점, 자격증, 수상경력, 어학능력에 대해서는 중요도를 낮게 평가하는 공통점이 있었다. 전공역량의 중요도에 대해서는 매칭 전 집단에 대한 만족도보다는 매칭이 이뤄진 집단에서의 만족도가 평균 대비 높게 나타났다. 기업이 원하는 숙련은 다차원적인 역량을 포함하며, 주로 soft-skill 항목들과 관련이 높았다. IT 서비스업에 속한 기업들은 숙련 미스매치의 원인으로 산업의 인력구조가 세분화되어 있지 않은 것을 이유로 들었고, 교육기관에서는 시간의 불일치를 꼽았다. 전문가 집단들은 모두 향후 미스매치 갭이 확대될 것으로 보고 있었다. 숙련의 공급은 기술이 변해가는 속도를 따라가지 못할 것이라는 전망이었다. 갭의 해결 방안으로 전문가 모두 산학연 과정을 뽑았으며, 장기적인 안목에서 인력을 육성할 방안을 모색해야 한다고 했다.

정신 연습의 기전과 적용 방법 (Mechanism and Application Methodology of Mental Practice)

  • The purpose of this study was to review of mechanism and application methodology about mental practice. The mental practice is symbolic rehearsal of physical activity in the absence of any gross muscular movements. Human have the ability to generate mental correlates of perceptual and motor events without any triggering external stimulus, a function known as imagery, Practice produces both internal and external sensory consequences which are thought to be essential for learning to occur, It is for this reason that mental practice, rehearsal of skill in imagination rather than by overt physical activity, has intrigued theorists, especially those interested in cognitive process. Several studies in sport psychology have shown that mental practice can be effective in optimizing the execution of movements in athletes and help novice learner in the incremental acquisition of new skilled behaviors. There are many theories of mental practice for explaining the positive effect In skill learning and performance. Most tenable theories are symbolic learning theory, psyconeuromuscular theory, Paivio's theory, regional cerebral blood flow theory, motivation theory, modeling theory, mental and muscle movement nodes theory, insight theory, selective attention theory, and attention-arousal set theory etc.. The factors for influencing to effects of mental practice are application form, application period, time for length of the mental practice, number of repetition, existence of physical practice.

An Analysis of the Jeju Beach Science Camp Program Based on the HASA Curriculum and a Survey of Preference

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the Jeju beach science camp program and to survey the participating students'' preference levels for the activities included therein. The camp programs were analyzed on the basis of the standards set for the HASA curriculum. The program's "manipulatory skill" area included many manipulatory and creative activities while the "inquiry area" included many basic and integrated inquiry activities. It was also indicated that the "knowledge area" included many activities appropriate for understanding concepts and principles while the "attitude area" included many activities appropriate for stimulating curiosity and enjoyment. Thus, it could be seen that the areas stipulated for the HASA curriculum were considerably consistent with the purpose of the science camp. The participating students showed preference for manipulatory and creative activities included in the program. They also preferred basic, inquiry level activities included under the area of "inquiry skills." It was identified that the students most preferred the conceptual stage included under the area of "knowledge" where they were required to grasp the common characteristics of events, things, and phenomena, as also the enjoyment stage included under the "attitude" area, where they were required to participate in pleasant science activities. These findings indicate that science camp programs should be composed of manipulatory and creative activities as well as activities that aim at basic research and the understanding of concepts.

  • It will not be impossible to develop an Information Systems and Information Technologies (IS/IT) program and a curriculum that represents the true needs of the IS/IT industry until IS/IT educator, reduce the gap perception and IS/IT practitioner's perception of IS/IT knowledge and technical skills that the industry might need. This paper represents and analysis of perceptions about IS/IT knowledge and skills that IS/IT practitioners might consider important. This study is based in Korean. The findings give us a very important lesson for IS/IT academicians that their understanding about the required knowledge and skills for the IS/IT career is not in line with that of IS/IT industry. Classifies the critical knowledge/skill set according to content or domain of knowledge by means of a survey. This is conducted in accordance with what IS/IT practitioners and educators can easily relate. The survey uses this approach and includes four broad categories of critical information Systems and Information technologies (IS/IT) knowledge/skills: IS/IT technology knowledge/skills, organizational and societal knowledge/skills, interpersonal knowledge/skills, and personal trait knowledge/skills.

The Rat Model in Microsurgery Education: Classical Exercises and New Horizons

  • Microsurgery is a precise surgical skill that requires an extensive training period and the supervision of expert instructors. The classical training schemes in microsurgery have started with multiday experimental courses on the rat model. These courses have offered a low threat supervised high fidelity laboratory setting in which students can steadily and rapidly progress. This simulated environment allows students to make and recognise mistakes in microsurgery techniques and thus shifts any related risks of the early training period from the operating room to the lab. To achieve a high level of skill acquisition before beginning clinical practice, students are trained on a comprehensive set of exercises the rat model can uniquely provide, with progressive complexity as competency improves. This paper presents the utility of the classical rat model in three of the earliest microsurgery training centres and the new prospects that this versatile and expansive training model offers.
