Through many users employ TCP of which the performance has been proved in Internet, but many papers Proposed to improve TCP performance according to varying network architecture. In Particular, BWDP(bandwidth-delay Product) grew larger because of the increasing delay in satellite link and the network's speed-up. To consider these increased bandwidth-delay product, it is suggested that TCP options include Window Scale option. TimeStamp option, and PAWS. Because TCP window size should be commonly high in the network with these increased bandwidth-delay product, the multiple decrease and linear increase scheme of current TCP would cause underflow and instability within network. Then TCP performance is reduced as a result. Thus, to improve TCP congestion control algorithm in the network which has large sized window, this paper proposes the congestion control scheme that controls window size by using TimeStamp option.

This study makes use of meta-analysis to statistically integrate the quantitative results of individual research on the influence of fashion product attributes on purchase; in addition, this study utilizes the effect sizes of correlation coefficients. This study was based on 24 individual studies from January 2000 to March 2015. The meta-analysis analyzed 91 effect sizes and 24 studies and calculated the correlation coefficient effect sizes. A random effect model was employed for meta-analysis because the results for the homogeneity test indicated that the effect sizes of each research were heterogeneous. The analysis results are as follows. First, when the total effect sizes of the fashion product attributes that influence clothing purchase decisions were calculated as .256; this indicated that the effect size is slightly below the mid-sized level. Second, upon examining the effect sizes of the categorized fashion product attributes, the intrinsic attributes yielded .222, extrinsic factors yielded .235, and the compiled attributes yielded .420; this demonstrated that the compiled attributes have a larger effect size than individual attributes. Third, when they were measured by the characteristics of study targets, they were larger for a mixed-gender group than women as well as for ordinary citizens than university students. When the effect sizes were measured based on the characteristics of fashion products as suggested in the study, there were significant differences with respect to sportswear, followed by SPA brand clothing, general clothing, fashion accessories, and designer clothing. The cases where the clothing were purchased in non-retail stores were found to have a slightly larger effect size than those of offline retail stores when the effect sizes were measured based on purchase routes; however, the difference was not statistically significant. Next, an investigation of the trend of effect sizes based on published year via the meta regression analysis indicated slightly larger effect sizes as shown in more recent publications, but this was not statistically significant.

The dimensional quality of flexible foams is often difficult to be evaluated through general machine vision inspection methods due to the free deformation of the outer shape. For the evaluation of the dimensions of flexible foams, methods of estimating the size of the product through the expansion rate of the product surface are evaluated. Specimens with various dimensions and surface gratings are prepared, and the degree of surface expansion is measured through machine vision. The correlation, between the measured surface grid size and the actual size of test specimens, is analyzed. We further analyze the correlation between the size of test specimens and the position of the surface grid. This study provides a basis for estimating the actual dimensions of specimens by measuring the surface expansion of flexible foams.

Objectives: This study aimed to elucidate the physicochemical properties of silica powder and airborne particles as by-products generated from fabrication processes to reduce unknown risk factors in the semiconductor manufacturing work environment. Materials and Methods: Sampling was conducted at 200 mm and 300 mm semiconductor wafer fabrication facilities. Thirty-two powder and airborne by-product samples, diffusion(10), chemical vapor deposition(10), chemical mechanical polishing(5), clean(5), etch process(2), were collected from inner chamber parts from process and 1st scrubber equipment during maintenance and process operation. The chemical composition, size, shape, and crystal structure of silica by-product particles were determined by using scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy techniques equipped with energy dispersive spectroscopy, and x-ray diffractometry. Results: All powder and airborne particle samples were composed of oxygen(O) and silicon(Si), which means silica particle. The by-product particles were nearly spherical $SiO_2$ and the particle size ranged 25 nm to $50{\mu}m$, and most of the particles were usually agglomerated within a particle size range from approximately 25 nm to 500 nm. In addition, the crystal structure of the silica powder particles was found to be an amorphous silica. Conclusions: The silica by-product particles generated from the semiconductor manufacturing processes are amorphous $SiO_2$, which is considered a less toxic form. These results should provide useful information for alternative strategies to improve the work environment and workers' health.

Bulk graphite is manufactured using graphite scrap as the filler and phenolic resin as the binder. Graphite scrap, which is the by-product of processing the final graphite product, is pulverized and sieved by particle size. The relationship between the density and porosity is analyzed by measuring the mechanical properties of bulk graphite. The filler materials are sieved into mean particle sizes of 10.62, 23.38, 54.09, 84.29, and 126.64 ㎛. The bulk graphite density using the filler powder with a particle size of 54.09 ㎛ is 1.38 g/㎤, which is the highest value in this study. The compressive strength tends to increase as the bulk graphite density increases. The highest compressive strength of 43.14 MPa is achieved with the 54.09 ㎛ powder. The highest flexural strength of 23.08 MPa is achieved using the 10.62 ㎛ powder, having the smallest average particle size. The compressive strength is affected by the density of bulk graphite, and the flexural strength is affected by the filler particle size of bulk graphite.

This is a brief report oil the characteristics of elderly persons in Korea for product liability and product safety. Recently. the elderly persons rapidly go on increasing in number. So, the considerations of their characteristics in product design become more and more important not only for product safety but for the commercial target. We describe a result from the survey on some of the characteristics such as Stereotypical or common expectations in type, size, motion characteristics, and direction of control operation(i.e., population stereotypes), depth perception, and tracking performance through a structured interview and experiments. This basic study will go on.
Determining the optimal levels of the technical attributes (TAs) of a product to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction is the main activity in the planning process for quality function deployment (QFD). In real applications, the number of customer requirements for developing a single product is quite large, and the number of converted TAs is also high so the size of the house of quality (HoQ) becomes huge. Furthermore, the TA levels are often discrete instead of continuous and the product market can be divided into several market segments corresponding to the number of HoQ, which also unacceptably increases the size of the QFD optimization problem and the time spent on making decisions. This paper proposed a genetic algorithm (GA) solution approach to finding the optimum set of TAs in QFD in the above situation. A numerical example is provided for illustrating the proposed approach. To assess the computational performance of the GA, tests were performed on problems of various sizes using a fractional factorial design.
In the manufacture of precipitated sulfur calcium pentasulfide ($CaS_{5}$, train product) and calcium thiosulfate ($CaS_{2}O_{3}$, by-product) are decomposed simultaneously by hydrochloricacid into coarse (not being uniform) particle-size products. To improve this drawback, calcium thiosulfate was prepared directly without making calcium pentasulfide and obtained $S_{6}$ by the acid-decomposition. In the conversion of hexatomic sulfur to octatomic sulfur, the polymerization and the depolymerization were observed by using purification method. The conversion of $S_{6}$ to $S_{8}$ is proceeded by two steps. The first step reaction is affected by impurities (especially $SO_{2}$ and $H_{2}S$), Hexatomic sulfur is inert to triethylamine for the time being by purification, and thereafter a slow conversion to polymeric and then to octatomic sulfur occurs. Instead of calcium pentasulfide, the acid decomposition of calcium thiosulfate has several advantages; uniformity of particle-size of product, increase of yield, and simplicity of procedure.
The similar point of the 19 regional industrial clusters of Japan is that all of the clusters are not limited to an administrational district but rather covers a larger area. When a cluster covers a larger area, there is problem of acquiring responsible businesses and interactive planing. In order to overcome such a problem, private coordinating organizations have been installed and operated to connect and manage inter-activities of industries, universities, and research institutes. TAMA, a private coordinating organization, differs from other associations in a way that it does not deal with one specific field or business. TAMA rather dealswith various product-developing small to middle size companies by offering strategic support for the development of new technologies and expansion of new businesses. Product-developing small to middle size companies comparatively have their own abilities for technological development and marketing which is quite different from other subcontract companies and their relations to large corporations. In such aspect, product-developing companies are actually similar to large corporations with competitiveness in the world market.
