This paper deals with six degree-of-freedom HILS(hardware-in-the-loop-simulation) of KSR-III rocket using a TAFMS(three axis flight motion simulator). This TAFMS HILS test is accomplished before main HILS tests in order to verify the control stability in the presence of TAFMS dynamic effects. The TAFMS HILS test includes initial attitude holding tests for INS initial alignment procedures, timer synchronization tests with an auxiliary lift-off signal, real-time calibration tests using an external thermal recorder, open-loop TAFMS operating tests, and final closed-loop TAFMS HILS tests using the TAFMS attitude measurements as inputs to the closed control loop. The HILS tests are accomplished for several flight conditions composed with nominal flight condition, TWD effect added condition, slosh modes and/or bending modes existing condition, and windy condition, etc.

Purpose: To evaluate the usefulness of the $HexaPOD^{TM}$ evo RT system(6DoF couch) and the tendency of dose difference according to size of rotational direction error for volumetric rotational modulated radiotherapy(V-MAT) in patients with long target lengths. Therefore, it is suggested to recommend the need for rotational error correction. Materials and Methods: Ten patients with Esophagus cancer or Breast cancer including SCL treated with HexaPOD 6DoF(Six-Degree of Freedom) couch were included in this study. 6DoF couch was used to measure the difference in dose according to the rotation error in the directions of Rx(pitch), Ry(roll), and Rz(yaw). Each rotation error was applied. Positioning variation on x, y and z axis was verified and random variations were made by 6DoF couch with positioning variation. Modified DQA is conducted and point dose and gamma value are analyzed and compared. In addition, after applying the rotation error every $1^{\circ}$ to treatment plans of each target with a diameter of 3 cm, 5, 10, 15, and 20 cm respectively, gamma passing rate is being monitored by its aspect of change according to types and sizes of the target length and rotation error. Results: Mean error of the point dose and Gamma passing rate when the position variation was applied were $2.50{\pm}1.11%$ and $84.1{\pm}7.39%$ in the Rx direction, $2.36{\pm}1.16%$, and $81.0{\pm}8.49%$ in the Ry, $2.35{\pm}1.10%$ and $84.4{\pm}6.99%$ in the Rz direction, respectively. As a result of analysis on gamma passing rate according to types and sizes of the target length and rotation error, the gamma passing rate tended to decrease with increasing rotation error in the Rx and Rz directions except Ry direction. In particular, the lowest gamma passing rate (74.2 %) was in the case of $2.5^{\circ}$ rotation error in Rz direction of the target of 10 cm. Conclusion: The correction of the rotational error is needed for volumetric modulated radiotherapy of the treatment area with a long target length, and the use of 6DoF couch will improve the reproducibility of the patient position and the quality of the treatment.

Purpose: This study evaluated the validity and reliability of Shively and colleagues' self-efficacy for HIV disease management skills (HIV-SE) among Korean participants. Methods: The original HIV-SE questionnaire, comprising 34 items, was translated into Korean using a translation and back-translation process. To enhance clarity and eliminate redundancy, the author and expert committee engaged in multiple discussions and integrated two items with similar meanings into a single item. Further, four HIV nurse experts tested content validity. Survey data were collected from 227 individuals diagnosed with HIV from five Korean hospitals. Construct validity was verified through confirmatory factor analysis. Criterion validity was evaluated using Pearson's correlation coefficients with the new general self-efficacy scale. Internal consistency reliability and test-retest were examined for reliability. Results: The Korean version of HIV-SE (K-HIV-SE) comprises 33 items across six domains: "managing depression/mood," "managing medications," "managing symptoms," "communicating with a healthcare provider," "getting support/help," and "managing fatigue." The fitness of the modified model was acceptable (minimum value of the discrepancy function/degree of freedom = 2.49, root mean square error of approximation = .08, goodness-of-fit index = .76, adjusted goodness-of-fit index = .71, Tucker-Lewis index = .84, and comparative fit index = .86). The internal consistency reliability (Cronbach's α = .91) and test-retest reliability (intraclass correlation coefficient = .73) were good. The criterion validity of the K-HIV-SE was .59 (p < .001). Conclusion: This study suggests that the K-HIV-SE is useful for efficiently assessing self-efficacy for HIV disease management.
Purpose: The biomechanics and kinematics of knee joint were reviewed in this article. And then the common sports injuries were presented. Anatomy and Kinetics: None of the pairs of bearing surfaces in the knee joint is exactly congruent This allows the knee six degrees of freedom of motion. Tibiofemoral Kinematics: In flexion and extension, the axis of motion is not perpendicular to the medial-lateral plane of the joint, nor is it perpendicular to the axis of longitudinal rotation. This results in coupled varus angulation and internal rotation with flexion and in valgus angulation and external rotation with extension. Patellofemoral Articulation: Loads across the patellofemoral joint are indirectly related to the angle of knee flexion and directly related to the force generated within the quadriceps mechanism. Fractures of the Patella: Nonoperative treatment is indicated if the extensor mechanism is intact and if displacement of fragment is minimal. The specific type of internal fixation depends on the fracture pattern. It is important to repair retinaculum. Acute and Recurrent Patellar Instability: The degree of dysplasia and the extent of the instability play a large part in determining the success of nonoperative treatment. Patients who experience recurrent dislocations and patients with major anatomic variations require surgery to minimize their instability. Sports Injuries in School-age Atheletes: Patellar pain in young athletes groups a number of conditions, including Idiopathic Adolescent Anterior Knee Pain, Osgood- Schlatter Disease, and Sinding-Larsen-Johansson Disease.
The purpose of this study was to predict the failure or success of the Snatch-lifting trial as a consequence of the stand-up phase simulated in Kane's equation of motion that was effective for the dynamic analysis of multi-segment. This experiment was a case study in which one male athlete (age: 23yrs, height: 154.4cm, weight: 64.5kg) from K University was selected The system of a simulation included a multi-segment system that had one degree of freedom and one generalized coordinate for the shank segment angle. The reference frame was fixed by the Nonlinear Trans formation (NLT) method in order to set up a fixed Cartesian coordinate system in space. A weightlifter lifted a 90kg-barbell that was 75% of subject's maximum lifting capability (120kg). For this study, six cameras (Qualisys Proreflex MCU240s) and two force-plates (Kistler 9286AAs) were used for collecting data. The motion tracks of 11 land markers were attached on the major joints of the body and barbell. The sampling rates of cameras and force-plates were set up 100Hz and 1000Hz, respectively. Data were processed via the Qualisys Track manager (QTM) software. Landmark positions and force-plate amplitudes were simultaneously integrated by Qualisys system The coordinate data were filtered using a fourth-order Butterworth low pass filtering with an estimated optimum cut-off frequency of 9Hz calculated with Andrew & Yu's formula. The input data of the model were derived from experimental data processed in Matlab6.5 and the solution of a model made in Kane's method was solved in Matematica5.0. The conclusions were as follows; 1. The torque motor of the shank with 246Nm from this experiment could lift a maximum barbell weight (158.98kg) which was about 246 times as much as subject's body weight (64.5kg). 2. The torque motor with 166.5 Nm, simulated by angular displacement of the shank matched to the experimental result, could lift a maximum barbell weight (90kg) which was about 1.4 times as much as subject's body weight (64.5kg). 3. Comparing subject's maximum barbell weight (120kg) with a modeling maximum barbell weight (155.51kg) and with an experimental maximum barbell weight (90kg), the differences between these were about +35.7kg and -30kg. These results strongly suggest that if the maximum barbell weight is decided, coaches will be able to provide further knowledge and information to weightlifters for the performance improvement and then prevent injuries from training of weightlifters. It hopes to apply Kane's method to other sports skill as well as weightlifting to simulate its motion in the future study.
The purpose of this paper is to analytically find the approximate supplement damping ratio of the viscous damper installed in self-centering (SC) single-degree-of-freedom (SDOF) systems with maximum displacements that are similar to those of elasto-plastic (EP) SDOF systems. The behavior of an SC SDOF system under harmonic cyclic loading was first described. Then an analytical model that can capture the behavior of the viscously damped SC SDOF system was introduced. Analysis parameters that characterize the hysteresis of the EP and SC SDOF systems were chosen, and nonlinear time-history analyses were performed using 20 historical accelerograms. Most of the SC SDOF systems with viscous dampers with approximately 10-15% damping ratios presented mean maximum displacement values that were similar to those of the EP SDOF systems. To investigate in detail the seismic performance of both systems, three EP SDOF systems and six corresponding SC SDOF systems were selected. The analyses showed that all the SC SDOF systems eliminated the residual displacements after the end of their shaking, and that the SC SDOF systems with 15% damping ratios performed better than the EP SDOF systems in terms of maximum displacement and acceleration response.

In this study, we calculate dynamic constrained force of tower top and blade root of a floating offshore wind turbine. The floating offshore wind turbine is multibody system which consists of a floating platform, a tower, a nacelle, and a hub and three blades. All of these parts are regarded as a rigid body with six degree-of-freedom(DOF). The platform and the tower are connected with fixed joint, and the tower, the nacelle, and the hub are successively connected with revolute joint. The hub and three blades are connected with fixed joint. The recursive formulation is adopted for constructing the equations of motion for the floating wind turbine. The non-linear hydrostatic force, the linear hydrodynamic force, the aerodynamic force, the mooring force, and gravitational forces are considered as external forces. The dynamic load at the tower top, rotor shaft, and blade root of the floating wind turbine are simulated in time domain by solving the equations of motion numerically. From the simulation results, the mutual effects of the dynamic response between the each part of the floating wind turbine are discussed and can be used as input data for the structural analysis of the floating offshore wind turbine.

Underwater gliders do not typically have separate propellers for forward motion. They generate propulsive forces based on the difference between their buoyancy and gravity. They can control the volume from the buoyancy engine to adjust the propulsive force. In addition, the attitude of the underwater glider is controlled by a rubberless motion controller. The motion controller can change the mass center and moment of inertia of the inner moving mass. Owing to the change in these parameters, the attitude of the underwater glider is changed. In this study, we derive nonlinear, six degree of freedom (DOF) mathematical models for the motion controller and buoyancy engine. Using these equations, we perform dynamic simulations of the proposed underwater glider, and verify the suitability of the design and dynamic performances of the proposed underwater glider. We then perform the motion control simulation for the pitch and roll angle, and analyze the dynamic performance according to the pitch and roll angles.

The frequency of marine accidents of vessels in Korea is steadily increasing and it is concentrated on small vessels with less than 10 tons of gross tonnage. Therefore, preventing capsizing accidents in small vessels is important to reduce the cost in terms of human and property damage due to such accidents. However, research on the seakeeping performance of small vessels has been insufficient, and there are no domestic and international regulations on seakeeping performance. Therefore, in this study, capsizing accidents caused by poor loading conditions were investigated by examining the adjudications of the small vessels in which the capsizing accidents occurred. Hydrostatic calculations and seakeeping performance analysis were performed for a representative vessel. A vessel generally performs a six-degree-of-freedom motion during operation. In this study, the response amplitude operator and response spectrum of a representative vessel were calculated to determine the roll motion. Moreover, a short-term statistical analysis of the vessel according to the loading conditions was performed for the wave stationary status for 3 h. From the results, it was estimated that, when the loading condition of a small vessel is poor, its roll motion increases, greatly reducing its stability.
Purpose : To assess the feasibility and the toxicity of the neoadjuvant chemotherapy on the treatment of patients with locoregionally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Methods and Materials : We analyzed 77 previously untreated and histologically confirmed advanced stage nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy followed by radiation therapy at the Seoul National University Hospital between 1984 and 1996. The stage distribution was as follows : AJCC stage III-2, stage IV-75. Sixty-six patients received infusion of 5-FU (1000 mg/m$^2$, on Day 1$\~$5) and cisplatin (100 mg/m$^2$, on Day 1), eleven patients received infusion of 5-FU (1000 mg/m$^2$, on Day 1 $\~$5) and carboplatin (300 mg/m$^2$, on Day 1) as neoadjuvant chemotherapy Prior to radiation therapy. The median follow-up for surviving patients was 44 months. Results : The overall chemotherapy response rates were 87$\%$. The toxicities of chemotherapy were mild. Only 3 patients experienced Grade 3 toxicities (1 for cytopenia, 2 for nause/vomiting). The degree of radiation induced mucositis was not severe, and ten patients developed Grade 2 mucositis. The 5-year overall survival rates were 68$\%$ and the 5-year disease free survival rates were 65$\%$. The 5-year freedom from distant metastasis rates were 82$\%$ and 5-year locoregional control rates were 75$\%$. Conclusion : This single institution experience suggests that neoadjuvant chemotherapy improves overall survival and disease free survival for patients with advanced stage nasopharyngeal carcinoma without increase of toxicity.
