스프링으로 탄성 지지된 곡선보의 자유진동 (Free Vibrations of Curved Beams with Elastic Springs)

  • This paper deals with the free vibrations curved beams with elastic springs. Taking into account the effects of rotatory inertia and shear deformation, differential equations governing the free vibrations of such beams are derived, in which each elastic spring is modeled as a discrete Winkler foundation with very short longitudinal length. Differential equations are solved numerically to calculate natural frequencies and mode shapes. In numerical examples, the circular, parabolic, sinusoidal and elliptic curved members are considered. The parametric studies are conducted and the lowest four frequency parameters are reported in tables and figures as the non-dimensional fonns. Also the typical mode shapes are presented.

  • Dynamic characteristics of current collection system is one of the major factors which decide the performance of high speed train. To find good design parameters of the current collection system design guide is prepared through the engineering analysis in this study. The analysis starts from the statics of catenary system which results in the sinusoidal variation of stiffness, which is inherently nonlinear Mathieu equation. Simple physical models of rigid trolley wire and Mathieu equation are considered. To simulate the dynamic response of current collection system, numerical integration based on central difference method and modal analysis are presented. The calculated results of central difference method show superior to those of Euler based algorithm.

  • Nonlinear characteristics of the hydrodynamic journal bearing with circumferentially groove are analyzed numerically considering cavitation region, when an external sinusoidal shock is given to the system. The oil film force is obtained by solving the finite width universal Reynolds equation at each time step. Frequency response function and journal orbit obtained from both linear and nonlinear bearing simulations are compared with each other. The vibration response of the journal is different from the expectation obtained from the linear analysis as increase the vibration amplitude of external disturbance. Therefore, the linear theory is not adequate, and the nonlinear calculation such as used in this research is needed to design safety rotor systems.

  • The nonlinear vibration characteristics of hydrodynamic journal bearings with a circumferential groove we analyzed numerically when the external sinusoidal disturbances are given to the rotor-bearing system continuously. Furthermore, a cavitation algorithm, implementing the Jakobsson-Floberg-Olsson boundary condition, is adopted to predict cavitation regions in a fluid film more accurately than the conventional analysis. which uses the Reynolds boundary condition. It is found that the difference between linear and nonlinear analysis is much more remarkable as the amplitude of external disturbance increases, and it depends upon the excitation frequency of the external disturbance. It is also shown that the cavity region in the fluid film increases as the amplitude or excitation frequency of the external disturbance increases. The whirling center of the steady state orbit moves closer to the bearing center as the amplitude or excitation frequency of the external disturbance increases.

  • This paper presents an experimental study on the energy dissipation characteristics of viscous damping wall (VDW). VDW is consisted of a plate floating in a thin case made of steel plated filled with highly viscous silicone oil. Because VDW demonstrates both viscous damping and stiffness characteristics, the viscous resisting force can be expressed as the sum of velocity dependant viscous damping force and displacement dependant restoring force. The viscous resisting force and energy absorbing capacity can be easily adjusted by changing three factors, i.e. viscosity of the fluid, gap distance and area of the wall plates. VDW was tested using a series of harmonic (sinusoidal) displacement history having different frequency and amplitude and the force-displacement relationship was recorded.   • 본 논문에서는 초음파 의용 영상시스템의 B-모드 영상으로 잘 관찰되지 않는 암이나 종양을 진단하기 위하여 인체 연조직의 탄성계수를 측정하여 영상화하는 방법을 제안하였다. 연조직의 단단함을 측정하기 위하여 조직에 정현파 진동을 인가하고 연조직의 기계적인 진동의 크기를 초음파 영상의 스페클 밝기의 시간적 변화를 추정하여 구하였다. 제안한 방법은 B-모드 영상에서 비교적 적은 계산량으로 쉽게 조직의 단단함을 추정할 수 있음을 시뮬레이션과 실험으로 검증하였다

능동 소음 제어를 위한 Filtered-x 최소 평균 네제곱 알고리듬의 수렴분석 (Convergence of the Filtered-x Least Mean Fourth Algorithm for Active Noise Control)

  • In this paper, we drove the filtered-x least mean fourth (FXLMF) algorithm where the error raised to the power of four is minimized and analyzed its convergence behavior for a multiple sinusoidal acoustic noise and Gaussian measurement noise. The application of the FXLMF adaptive filter to active noise control requires to estimate the transfer characteristics of the acoustic path between the output and the error signal of the adaptive controller. The results of the convergence analysis of the FXLMF algorithm indicate that the effects of the parameter estimation inaccuracy on the convergence behavior of the algorithm are characterized by two distinct components phase estimation error and estimated gain. In particular, the convergence is shown to be strongly affected by the accuracy of the phase response estimate. Also, we newly show that the convergence behavior can differ depending on the relative sizes of the Gaussian noise and the convergence constant.

한국형 고속전철용 견인전동기 개발 (Development of the Traction Motor for High Speed Train)

  • An inverter-driven induction motor is usually adapted to the traction motor for a high speed drive system requiring safety, reliability, performance, compact size owing to the space and weight alloted for attaching to train, etc. and AC Traction motor for G7 train will be operated in the worst condition such as mechanical vibration, limited mounting space, severe thermal stress, inverter with non-sinusoidal voltage waveform, dust and so on. therefore, design procedure must be carefully carried out wi th considering the motor size, vibration and thermal expansion of rotor bars, insulation system, reliability of frame, as well as output characteristics. In this paper, we will inform the characteristics and design of the traction motor for G7 train and also analyze the test result of it.

  • In the case of aeroacoustic test in windtunnel, measurement accuracy is reduced by not only Doppler effects but also by the microphone self noise due to airflow and high turbulence in the wall boundary layer. Microphone array measurements can be easily utilized for the solutions of these problems. In this paper, geometrical optics approach and diagonal term elimination of cross spectral matrix was introduced to the de-dopplerization and self noise reduction methods for the microphone array measurement. For the validation, beamforming tests for sinusoidal point source were performed in the closed type test section of windtunnel, and their performances of beam width and sidelobe rejection were significantly improved.
