용융탄산염 연료전지의 양극 대체재료의 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Anode Material for Molten Carbonate Fuel Cell)

  • 용융탄산염연료전지(MCFC)용 다공성 Ni 양극에 3~10 wt% Al를 첨가하여 tape casting 법으로 제조된 Ni-Al 양극의 전기화학적성능 및 구조적안정성이 조사되었다. 본 연구에서 제조된 양극의 전기화학적 성능이 $650^{\circ}C$, MCFC 양극분위기(80% H$_2$+20% $CO_2$)를 모사한 half-cell 에서 양분극 특성으로 평가되었는데, 전류밀도 150 ㎃/$\textrm{cm}^2$ 에서의 분극전압은 약 100 ㎷로 실용전지의 양극으로서 가능성을 보였다. Ni-Al 양극의 소결과 creep에 대한 저항성은 Ni 양극에 비해 증가되었는데, 이는 Ni 입자 표면에 형성된 $Al_2$O$_3$의 영향으로 판단되었다.

기계적 합금화법으로 제조된 고온 수전해용 Ni/YSZ 전극의 미세구조 특성 (Microstructural Characteristics of Ni/YSZ Cermet for High Temperature Electrolysis by Mechanical Alloying)

  • Modified Ni/YSZ cermets for high temperature electrolysis were synthesized by the direct ball milling of Ni and YSZ powder. The ball milling was carried out in dry process and in ethanol with varying milling time. While the dry-milling decreased the average size from 65 to $80{\mu}m$, the wet-milling decreased the average size down to $10{\mu}m$. In addition, very fine particles less than $0.1{\mu}m$ were observed in the wet-milling condition. The subsequent process of cold-pressing and sintering at $900^{\circ}C$ for 2 h did not affect the particle size of dry-milled powder. The electrical conductivity of the dry-milled Ni/YSZ cermet showed the value of $5{\times}10^{2}\;S/cm$ and this value was increased to $1.4{\times}10^{4}\;S/cm$ after the sintering at $900^{\circ}C$ for 2 h.

저수축 반응소결 알루미나 세라믹스의 제조 (Fabrication of Low-Shrinkage Reaction-Bonded Alumina Ceramics)

  • Fabrication possibility of low-shrinkage alumina without oxidation and wetting agent was presented on the basis of observation about oxidation behavior, microstructure and physical characteristics of such reaction agents free Al2O3-Al system. The composition less than Al 10w/o where Al can act as a sintering agent for Al2O3 was excluded. Under the condition of present experiments oxidation of Al2O3-Al system was dependent not on holding time but mainly on oxidation temperature. In thes case of Al powder not comminuted effectively during powder mixing of Al2O3-Al, columnar structure which would act as a hindrance to the densification during sintering developed more during oxidation with higher Al contents, and which made the fabrication of low-shrinkage Al2O3 ceramics impossible. If Al powder was comminuted effectively due to co-mixed Al2O3 characteristics, densification was improved because of no columnar structure and made the fabrication of sintered body with -2.7% dimensional change and 81% relative density possible. As a result, it is possible to fabricate dense low-shrinkage Al2O3 ceramics without oxidation and wetting agent under conditions such as smaller particle size of Al, Al contents below 50v/o, higher green density of Al2O3-Al compact and the use of Al2O3 powder used for high-density ceramics.

CeO2 안정화 정방정 Zirconia 다결정체(Ce-TZP)에 관한 연구(IV) : 12 Ce-TZP 세라믹스에 미치는 MgO 첨가 영향 (A Study on the Ceria Stabilized Tetragonal Zirconia Polycrystals (Ce-TZP) (IV) ; Effect of MgO Addition on 12 Ce-TZP Ceramics)

  • For theinvestigation of MgO addition effect on 12Ce-TZP ceramics, MgO-CeO2-ZrO2 ceramics was fabricated using commercial powders under sintering condition of 130$0^{\circ}C$-1$600^{\circ}C$ for 2hr. Fully tetragonal phase could be obtained by proper heat treatment and MgO addition amount. Minor cubic phase was appeared in relatively high MgO content composition at each sintering temperature. As alloying amount of MgO increased, tetragonal stability increased and grain size decreased. Grain size dependence on MgO content was verified by SEM observation of fractured surface. Surface bloating was observed from the 2 m/o to 6m/o in the temperature range of 150$0^{\circ}C$ to 1$600^{\circ}C$. In spite of very porous microstructure owing to surface bloating, 100% TZP could be maintained in 2.0m/o MgO composition by heat treatment of 150$0^{\circ}C$. This result indicated that MgO was more powerful stabilizer than CeO2. Mechanical proprties of MgO-CeO2-ZrO2 ceramics were consistent with the stability observation of tetragonal phase very well.

NiCuZn 페라이트의 제조 조건에 따른 전자파흡수 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Electromagnetic Wave Absorption Properties by the Preparing Condition of NiCuZn Ferrite)

  • With the development of electromagnetic communication technology and increased use of electromagnetic wave, the countermeasure of EMI(Electromagnetic Interference) becomes more important socially, and interest for the electromagnetic wave absorber has also increased. In this paper, we have studied characteristics of frequency dependency on complex permittivity and complex permeability according to the changes of composition rate and sintering temperature of NiCuZn ferrite also known as electromagnetic wave absorber and further looked into effect of electromagnetic wave absorption properties. From the measurement where the composition of Fe$_2$O$_3$ and ZnO of NiCuZn ferrite was fixed at 49 and 34 mol% respectively while composition of NiO and CuO has been varied at each test, we found out that initial permeability and permittivity were high and the absorbing ability of electromagnetic wave recorded best with loss tangent(${\mu}$r"/${\mu}$r′) displays more than 1 within the frequency band of 2MHz~9.5MHz when the composition ratio of NiO was ranged around 8.5~9.5 mol% and the sintering temperature was 1,080$^{\circ}C$.

  • In this study, $Pb(Zr_{0.52}Ti_{0.48})O_3$ ceramic thin films were fabricated from an alkoxide-based by Sol-Gel method. $Pb(Zr_{0.52}Ti_{0.48})O_3$ stock solution was made and spin-coated on the $Pt/SiO_2/Si$ substrate at 4000[rpm] for 30[sec]. Coated specimens were dried at 400[$^{\circ}C$] for 10 [min]. The coating process was repeated 4 times and then heat-treated at 500$\sim$800[$^{\circ}C$], 1 hour. The final thickness of the thin films were about 3000[A]. The crystallinity and microstructure of the thin films were investigated for varing the sintering condition. The ferroelectric perovskite' phases precipitated under the sintering of 700[$^{\circ}C$] for 1 hours. In the $Pb(Zr_{0.52}Ti_{0.48})O_3$ thin films sintered at 700[$^{\circ}C$] for 1 hour, dielectric constant and dielectric loss were 2133, 2.2[%] at room temperature, respectively. $Pb(Zr_{0.52}Ti_{0.48})O_3$ thin film capacitors having good dielectric and electrical properties are expected for the application to the dielectric material of DRAM.

온간 성형법으로 제작한 오스테나이트계 스테인레스강의 소결 거동에 관한 연구 (A Study on Densification Behvior of Austenitic Stainless Steel Powder Compacts Processed by Warm Compaction)

  • Densificationbehavior of conventional austenitic stainless steel powder compacts was studied by comparing the relative density of sintered compact(Ds)with that of green compacts(Dg)prepared with various catbon contents and P/M process. Dg of 304and 316 powders by warm compaction under pressure of 686 MPa at heating temperature of powder(553K) and dies (573K) were 80% and 81%, repectively, whichwere 2 and 3% higher than those of conventional green compacts at the same pressure. Ds of 304 compacts sintered at 1373K in H2 gas has the same value of 84% max. regardless of compacting temperature, and Ds of 316 compacts at the same sintering conditions were 80% by conventional compaction and 83% by warm compaction. Oxygen contents of 304 and 316 sintered compacts were increased 1.43∼2.94% and 0.010∼0.921% higher than those of raw powders and warm green compacts, respectively. In other case, Ds of 316 compacts sintered at 1573K in vacuum had the same value of 86%max. And Ds of 316 compacts at the same sintering conditions were 83% and 86% by conventional and warm compaction, respectively. Oxygen contents of 304 sintered compacts were 0.321% and 0.360%, and in case of 316, they were 0.419% and 0.182% by the respective compating condition. With carbon additions in the range 0.1∼0.6% Ds increased to the extent of 86∼89% in 304 sintered compacts, and to 82∼84% and 85∼87% in 316 according to different two compacting peocesses compared to those of sintered compacts without carbon addition.

금속입자를 이용한 정밀여과막 제조와 특성평가 (Preparation and Characterization of Microfiltration Membrane by Metal Particles)

  • 니켈입자와 고분자를 함유한 니켈슬러리를 상전환법을 이용하여 중공사 형태로 성형한 후, 소결법을 이용하여 $1,150^{\circ}C$ 환원조건에서 소결하여 금속 필터를 제조하였고 니켈 입자를 표면에 함침한 후, $800^{\circ}C$ 환원조건에서 소결하여 금속 정밀여과막을 제조하였다. 소결조건에 따른 금속 중공사 필터와 정밀여과막의 기공크기, 강도를 살펴보았다. 금속 중공사 정밀여과막은 산, 염기 및 염소에 대한 저항성이 뛰어났으며 역세척에 의한 투수량 회복률이 우수하였다.

STS 316L 소결재료의 내식특성에 미치는 합금원소 첨가방법의 영향 (The Effect of the Additive Elements Alloying Method on the Corrosion Resistance of Sintered STS 316L)

  • In this study, STS 316L powders with 3 wt.% Cu and 1 wt.% Sn known as corrosion-resistance reinforcement elements, are prepared to make different kinds of specimens, in which, 3 wt.% Cu and 1 wt.% Sn are added in different forms by mixing, alloying and fully alloying. After sintering in the same condition, the corrosion resistance, wear resistance and their mechanical properties of specimens are tested respectively. According to the comparison, STS 316L specimen sintered at $1270^{\circ}C$ showed the most excellent mechanical property: HRB 78 (hardness), 1130.7 MPa (RCS), 26.6% (Fraction Wear), It was similar with the specimen made of STS316L and fully alloyed Cu and Sn powders, meanwhile, the latter one appears the best corrosion resistance, 75hrs-salt immersion test results. In addition, the specimens with Cu and Sn powders additive showed relatively worse wear resistance in compared with STS316L specimen.

Citrate법을 이용한 수산화아파타이트 분말합성 및 소결특성 (Powder Synthesis and Sintering Behavior of Hydroxyapatite by Citrate Method)

  • Hydroxyapatite powder was synthesized by a citrate method, . Char-like precursor composed of Ca8(HPO4)2(PO4)4.5H2O (OCP) and CaCo3 was found via viscous resin-like intermediate by heating the mixed aqueous solution of Ca(NO3)2.4H2O(NH4)2HPO4 and citric acid. Resulted powder was transformed into hydroxyapatite phase by firing over 120$0^{\circ}C$-135$0^{\circ}C$ for 4 hr using the powder calcined at 90$0^{\circ}C$ for 10 hr composed of mostly single hydroxyapatite phase. The sintered densities increased with firing temperature up to 130$0^{\circ}C$ but the highest relative density was about 94% of theoritical value. indicating the presence of closed pores. The maximum 96 MPa of flexural strength was obtained at 120$0^{\circ}C$ firing but the flexural strength showed lower values over the above sintering condition. Vitro test was performed by immersing of two jointed specimens in SBF for seven days and adhesion was observed between two specimens.
