  • This paper strives to characterize the singular use of the possessive marker wuli in Korean, frequently interpreted as ‘our’. Focusing on its singular use and plurality, we argue that wuli is no plural form of nay ‘my’, but that it just marks in-group membership. It is shown that the apparent plurality of wuli only arises as a by-product of the in-group membership marking. It is also presented that age and gender are important factors in selecting between wuli and nay.

  • In the present study, the discrete singular convolution (DSC) method is developed for buckling analysis of columns and thin plates having different geometries. Regularized Shannon's delta (RSD) kernel is selected as singular convolution to illustrate the present algorithm. In the proposed approach, the derivatives in both the governing equations and the boundary conditions are discretized by the method of DSC. The results obtained by DSC method were compared with those obtained by the other numerical and analytical methods.

  • In this paper, we prove weighted norm inequalities for rough singular integrals along surfaces with radial kernels h and sphere kernels Ω by assuming h ∈ △γ(ℝ+) and Ω ∈ β(Sn-1) for some γ > 1 and β > 1. Here Ω ∈ β(Sn-1) denotes the variant of Grafakos-Stefanov type size conditions on the unit sphere. Our results essentially improve and extend the previous weighted results for the rough singular integrals and the corresponding maximal truncated operators.

  • In this work, we study the existence of a positive solution for nonlinear fractional differential equation with a singular weight. For the proof, we introduce newly defined solution operator and use well-known Krasnoselski's fixed point theorem. We also give an example with a singular weight which may not be integrable.

  • In this paper, the weighted Lp boundedness of multilinear commutators and multilinear iterated commutators generated by the multilinear singular integral operators with generalized kernels and BMO functions is established, where the weight is multiple weight. Our results are generalizations of the corresponding results for multilinear singular integral operators with standard kernels and Dini kernels under certain conditions.

  • In this paper the linear algebraic system obtained from a singular integral equation with variable coeffcients by a quadrature-collocation method is considered. We study this underdetermined system by means of the Moore Penrose generalized inverse. Convergence in compact subsets of [-1, 1] can be shown under some assumptions on the coeffcients of the equation.

  • In this article we examine certain distinctive features regarding Hardy spaces of both classical and product notions on $R^{N}$ with our focus on their interrelations through embeddings and restrictions. Applications of our results to multiple singular integrals are included.d.

  • This paper studies the parameter estimation problem for a steady state flow in an inhomogeneous medium. Our approximation scheme could be used when the diffusion coefficient is singular. The function space parameter estimation convergence(FSPEC) is considered and numerical simulations are performed.
