  • Two-stage power factor correction (PFC) converter with a single PWM controller is proposed. It consists of a power factor pre-regulator cascaded by an isolated DC/DC converter as in a conventional two-stage approach. However, a single PWM controller is used as in a single-stage, single-switch PFC approach. This converter gives the goof power factor correction, low line current harmonic distortions, and tight output voltage regulations. This converter also has a high efficiency by employing an soft switching method. The proposed approach has advantages such as high performance over the single-stage approach and low cost over two-stage approach. The experimental results obtained on a 300W (30V/10A) prototype PFC converter are given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control method.

  • Switching power supplies are widely used in many industrial fields. Power factor correction(PFC) circuits have tendency to be applied in new power supply designs. The input active power factor correction(APFC) circuits can be implemented using either the two-stage approach or the single-stage approach. The single-stage PFC circuit has advantage to reduce the number of components by eliminating a need for the PFC switch and control circuit. However, unlike in the two-stage approach, the do voltage on the energy storage capacitor in a single-stage PFC circuit is not well regulated. As a result. in universal line application($90{\sim}265Vac$), the storage capacitor voltage varies with the load and line variation. In this paper, the performance of output voltage regulation and transient response are clarified here. The validity of designed boost PFC circuit is confirmed by MATLAB simulation and experimental results of 2 [kW] prototype converter.

  • This paper analyzed PFC of active clamp ZVS flybark converter by adding two method PFC (Power Factor Correction) circuit-two-stage and single-stage. The addition of active clamp circuit also provide a mechanism fur achieving ZVS of both the primary and auxiliary switches. ZVS also limits the turn off di/dt of the output rectifier, reducing rectifier switching loss and switching noise, due to diode reverse recovery. As a results, the proposed converters have characteristics of the reduced switching noise and high efficiency in comparison to conventional flyback converter. The simulation and experimental results show that the proposed converters improve the input PF of 300[W] ZVS flyback converter by adding single-stage two-stage PFC circuit.

  • Two-stage power factor correction (PFC) converter with a single PWM controller for universal input voltage (90-264V) is proposed. It consists of a power factor pre-regulator cascaded by a DC/DC converter as in a conventional two-stage approach. However, a single PWM controller is used as in a single-stage, single-switch PFC approach. The switch in the PFC part is synchronized with the switch in the DC/DC converter with a fixed switching frequency. Employing an adaptive delay scheme the switch in the PFC part is controlled to limit the energy storage capacitor voltage within a designed range for the optimum efficiency, and to reduce input current harmonic distortion. The experimental results obtained on a 200W (5V/40A) prototype PFC converter are given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control method.

  • Generally, previous converter is divided into two categories to get high power factor and good output regulation. These two categories can be combined a category with a main switch. These converter is called Single Stage PFC Converter. This approach has good electrical characteristics of high power factor and fast output voltage regulation. The cost and size are important factor to design the converter in low power system. Even single stage can reduce the size and cost, but this approach needs to have additional circuit like control, PWM circuit. To improve these demerits, Top switch is one of good choice In reduce and size in low power single stage converter. Because it has the ability of current limit, thermal protection, oscillator, control circuit as well as a main switch ability.

  • Switching power supply systems are widely used in many industrial fields. Power factor correction (PFC) circuits have a tendency to be applied in new power supply designs. The input active power factor correction (APFC) circuits can be implemented in either the two-stage approach or the single-stage approach. The two-stage approach can be classified into boost type PFC circuit and dc/dc converter. The power factor correction circuit with a boost converter used as an input power source is studied in this paper. In a boost power factor correction circuit there are two feedback control loops, which are a current feedback loop and a voltage feedback loop. In this paper, the regulation performance of output voltage and compensator to improve the transient response presented at the continuous conduction mode (CCM) of the boost PFC circuit is analyzed. The validity of designed boost PFC circuit is confirmed by MATLAB simulation and experimental results.

  • Direct injection of genome editing tools such as CRISPR/Cas9 system into developing embryos has been widely used to generate genetically engineered pigs. The approach allows us to produce pigs carrying targeted modifications at high efficiency without having to apply somatic cell nuclear transfer. However, the targeted modifications during embryogenesis often result in mosaicism, which causes issues in phenotyping founder animals and establishing a group of pigs carrying intended modifications. This study was aimed to establish a genomic PCR and sequencing system of a single blastomere in the four-cell embryos to detect potential mosaicism. We performed genomic PCR in four individual blastomeres from four-cell embryos. We successfully amplified target genomic region from single blastomeres of 4-cell stage embryo by PCR. Sanger sequencing of the PCR amplicons obtained from the blastomeres suggested that PCR-based genotyping of single blastomere was a feasible method to determine mutation type generated by genome editing technology such as CRISPR/Cas9 in early stage embryos. In conclusion, we successfully genotyped single blastomeres in a single 4-cell stage embryo to detect potential mosaicism in porcine embryos. Our approach offers a simple platform that can be used to screen the prevalence of mosaicism from designed CRISPR/Cas9 systems.

  • Zero-voltage and zero-current switched single-stage approach with high power factor is presented to reduce the switching losses and to achieve sinusoidal, unity power factor input currents. This single-stage approach, which combines a boost converter used as PFC with a half-bridge converter used as do to do conversion into one power stage, has a simple structure and low cost. At the same time, since the switches of the proposed converter are designed to be turned on at zero-voltage and off at zero-current, the switching losses could be reduced considerably. Detailed analysis and experimental results are presented on the proposed converter, which is operated at constant switching frequency and in discontinuous conduction mode.

  • The problem of selecting the gamma population with the largest mean out of k gamma populations, each of which has the same shape parameter is considered. An elimination type two-stage procedure is proposed which guarantees the same probability requirement using the indifference-zone approach as does the single-stage procedure of Gibbons, Olkin and Sobel (1977). The two-stage procedure has the highly desirable property that the expected total number of observations required by the procedure is always less than that of the corresponding single-stage procedure regardless of the configuration of the population parameters.

  • Conventional Switched Mode Power Supplies(SMPS) with diode-capacitor rectifier have distorted input current waveform with high harmonic contents. Typically, these SMPS have a power factor lower than 0,65. To improve with this problem the power factor correction(PFC) circuit of power supplies has to be introduced. PFC circuit have tendency to be applied in new power supply designs. The input active power factor correction circuits can be implemented using either the two-stage or the single-stage approach. In this paper, the comparative analysis of power factor correction circuit using feedforward control with average current mode single-stage flyback method converter and two-stage converter which is combination of boost and flyback converter. The two prototypes of 50W were designed and tested a laboratory experimental. Also, the comparative analysis is confirmed by simulation and experimental results.
