가상현실을 이용한 자동 제세동기(AED) 훈련 시뮬레이션 개발 (Development of Automated External defibrillator training simulation using Virtual Reality)

  • 최근 가상현실(VR)이 IT기술의 화두로 떠오르고 있다. 가상현실 기술은 처음엔 게임, 영화, 스포츠, 테마파크와 같이 엔터테인먼트 목적으로 개발되는 경우가 많았으나 점차 교육, e-커머스, 헬스케어 등 다수의 산업으로 확대되어 관련 시장의 확산에 따른 파급효과는 매우 클 것으로 예상된다. 따라서 VR을 접목한 안전교육 콘텐츠도 급부상 하고 있다. 하지만 아직까지도 우리나라의 안전 교육에 대한 프로그램 활성도는 미미한 수준이다. 제세동기를 이용한 급성 심정지 환자 구출은 가장 대표적인 안전 교육중 하나이지만 2014년 기준 국내에서 자동 제세동기를 사용하여 환자의 생명을 구한 공식적인 사례는 단 한건으로 자동 제세동기의 사용 실적이 매우 저조함을 알 수 있다. 자동제세동기 사용성과 접근성 확장을 위한 사용법 및 중요성 숙지 교육이 필요한 현황이지만 이러한 안전 교육을 단순한 이론 교육에서 끝마칠 뿐 체험 교육 마련이 쉬운 일이 아니다. 본 논문에서는 언제든지 자유롭게 효과적으로 훈련을 받을 수 있는 가상현실을 이용한 자동 제세동기 훈련 시뮬레이션을 제안한다.

  • 수학교사 교육에서는 수학교육의 이론 지도 못지않게 교사의 수업 역량 개발을 위한 교육도 충실하게 이루어져야 한다. 본 연구는 프로이덴탈(Freudenthal), 폴리아(Polya)등 현대 수학교육자들이 주목한 수학 학습 지도의 전형으로서 오늘날 수학 교육에 적지 않은 시사점을 주고 있는 소크라테스(Socrates)의 '산파법'을 주제로 하여 사범대학의 예비교사 교육 과정에서 수학 모의수업 실행을 지도한 것이다. 수학을 지도하는 예비교사들의 수업 실기 능력과 수업 연구 능력을 더욱 강화하기 위해 현직교사들의 활동 자료를 연계한 교육을 실시하였다. 현직교사들의 사고실험 예시를 통해, 예비교사들이 수학-학습 지도에 관한 자신들의 제한된 지식과 경험을 확장할 수 있도록 안내하였다. 좋은 수학 수업을 위한 교사 교육, 반성적 사고를 돕는 교사 교육, 교사 공동체 연구를 보조하는 교사 교육을 꾀한 연구과정에서 얻은 결과를 분석하여 앞으로 예비교사 교육에서 더욱 관심을 두고 지도해야 할 사항에 대해 살펴보았다.

Ten Tips for Performing Your First Peer Review: The Next Step for the Aspiring Academic Plastic Surgeon

  • Performing the first peer review of a plastic surgical research article can be an overwhelming task. However, it is an essential scholarly skill and peer review is used in a multitude of settings: evaluation of journal articles, conference abstracts, and research proposals. Furthermore, peer reviewing provides more than just the opportunity to read and help improve other's work: peer reviewing can improve your own scientific writing. A structured approach is possible and recommended. In these ten tips, we provide guidance on how to successfully conduct the first peer reviews. The ten tips on peer reviewing concern: 1) Appropriateness: are you qualified and prepared to perform the peer review? 2) Familiarization with the journal and its reviewing guidelines; 3) Gathering first impressions of the paper followed by specific tips for reviewing; 4) the abstract and introduction; 5) Materials, methods, and results (including statistical considerations); and 6) discussion, conclusion, and references. Tip 7 concerns writing and structuring the review; Tips 7 and 8 describe how to provide constructive criticism and understanding the limits of your expertise. Finally, Tip 10 details why-and how-you become a peer reviewer. Peer review can be done by any plastic surgeon, not just those interested in an academic career. These ten tips provide useful insights for both the aspiring and the experienced peer reviewer. In conclusion, a systematic approach to peer reviewing is possible and recommended, and can help you getting started to provide quality peer reviews that contribute to moving the field of plastic surgery forward.

시뮬레이션 기반 심폐소생술교육이 노인의 태도, 자기 효능감, 만족도에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Simulation-based Education focusing on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation on Attitude, Self-efficacy and Satisfaction of the Elderly in Rural Community)

  • 본 연구는 농촌에서 거주하는 노인들에게 강의 기반과 시뮬레이션 기반 심폐소생술 교육 후 심폐소생술에 대한 태도, 자기 효능감, 만족도에 미치는 효과를 확인하기 위해 실시되었다. 또한 65세 이상 농촌 노인 43명을 대상으로 실시한 비동등성 대조군 전후설계를 이용한 유사실험 연구이다. 22명의 대조군에게 강의기반 심폐소생술 교육을 실시하였고, 실험군에게는 강의 기반 심폐소생술 교육과 시뮬레이션 기반 심폐소생술 교육을 실시하였다. 교육 전, 후 설문지를 이용하여 자료를 수집하였으며, 수집된 자료는 ${\chi}^2$-test, Fisher's exact test, paired t-test, ANCOVA로 분석하였다. 연구결과 실험군과 대조군 두 그룹에서 태도에 대한 유의한 차이는 없는 것(F=0.89, p=.353)으로 나타났으나, 자기 효능감(F=5.54, p=.025)과 만족도(F=4.66, p=.039)에서는 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 농촌에 거주하고 있는 노인들에게 이 연구에서 적용한 교육 방법이 효과적임을 나타내는데 기초자료를 제공하는 것으로, 시뮬레이션 기반 교육을 통해 심폐소생술에 대한 자기 효능감과 만족도를 향상시킴으로써 노인들도 응급상황에 대처 할 수 있도록 하는 노력이 이루어져야 한다.

수업 반성 저널의 메타 분석 활동을 통한 초등 예비교사의 생산적 반성 증진 (Facilitating Pre-Service Elementary Teachers' Productive Reflection on Their Science Teaching through Meta-Analysis of Their Reflective Journals)

  • In this study, the researcher aimed to increase productive reflection of pre-service elementary teachers through meta-analysis of their own reflective journals. The meta-analysis activities are expected to enhance their learning effectively as a kind of self-assesment. During 8 week simulation teaching, 26 pre-service teachers kept individual journal writing and the meta-analysis activities were implemented twice (after the 3rd and 8th week). Right after the first meta-analysis, the pre-service teachers' productive reflection increased clearly. However this would not guarantee the effect would last long time period. By analyzing 8 week reflective journals, reports on meta-analysis activities and small group interview, this study shed light on practical ways of enhancing reflective teacher education.

가족 중심 분만 시뮬레이션 실습 프로그램 개발 및 적용효과 (Development and Effects of Simulation Practice Program about Family centered Delivery Care)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the relationship of knowledge, attitudes and needs of sex education in high school students. Methods: There were 258 participants who were high school students in S high school in G city. Data were collected from October 1 to October 31, 2011, and analyzed using SPSS/WIN 19.0. Results: The mean score for sexual knowledge was 69.78, sexual attitudes was 63.66, and needs of sex education was 75.37. Sexual knowledge had positive correlation with needs of sex education (r=.17, p=.007). Conclusion: The findings of this study indicated a need to develop programs for high school students to increase appropriate sexual knowledge, and to encourage appropriate sexual attitudes, and to reflect needs of sex education.

Localized evaluation of actuator tracking for real-time hybrid simulation using frequency-domain indices

  • Accurate actuator tracking plays an important role in real-time hybrid simulation (RTHS) to ensure accurate and reliable experimental results. Frequency-domain evaluation index (FEI) interprets actuator tracking into amplitude and phase errors thus providing a promising tool for quantitative assessment of real-time hybrid simulation results. Previous applications of FEI successfully evaluated actuator tracking over the entire duration of the tests. In this study, FEI with moving window technique is explored to provide post-experiment localized actuator tracking assessment. Both moving window with and without overlap are investigated through computational simulations. The challenge is discussed for Fourier Transform to satisfy both time domain and frequency resolution for selected length of moving window. The required data window length for accuracy is shown to depend on the natural frequency and structural nonlinearity as well as the ground motion input for both moving windows with and without overlap. Moving window without overlap shows better computational efficiency and has potential for future online evaluation. Moving window with overlap however requires much more computational efforts and is more suitable for post-experiment evaluation. Existing RTHS data from Network Earthquake Engineering Simulation (NEES) is utilized to further demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approaches. It is demonstrated that with proper window size, FEI with moving window techniques enable accurate localized evaluation of actuator tracking for real-time hybrid simulation.

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate differences of pre-post simulation training in problem solving ability, performance confidence, and critical thinking skill according to degree of nursing students' self-leadership. Methods: This study was a descriptive survey using a self-report questionnaire. One hundred eighty nursing students participated in this study which programed a simulation scenario of pre-post operative patients' care. Descriptive statistics, paired t-test, ANCOVA with IBM SPSS 21.0 program were used for data analysis. Results: After the simulation training, both the above-average subjects and below-average subjects in self-leadership significantly improved their problem-solving ability, performance confidence, and critical thinking skill. compared with their previous level. The subjects who rated above-average in self-leadership, improved their degree of problem-solving ability, performance confidence, and critical thinking skill significantly more than those who were below-average in self-leadership. Conclusion: Self-leadership of nursing students is an important element in effective simulation training.

A proposed model of the pressure field in a downburst

  • Pressure field and velocity profiles in a thunderstorm downburst are significantly different from that of an atmospheric boundary layer wind. A model of the pressure field in a downburst is presented in accordance with the experimental and numerical results. Large eddy simulation method is employed to investigate transient pressure field on impingement ground of a downburst. In addition, velocity profiles of the downburst are studied, and good agreement is achieved between the present results and the data obtained from empirical models.

  • The purpose of this paper is to promote the physics study of high school students with computer. A computer simulation for falling motion is used to provide the students a chance to study by themselves viewing the concrete motion pictures of computer. By this simulation program, the students can observe various movements of a falling body with calculated distance according to falling time.
