  • The study analyzed bibliometric data of papers published in Korea Citation Index (KCI) and Web of Science (WoS) journals from 2002 to 2021. After examining size differences of KCI and WoS domains in the number of authors, institutions, and journals to put publication and citations counts in perspective, the study investigated co-authorship patterns over time to compare collaboration trends of Korean and international scholars and analyzed the data at author, institution, and journal levels to explore how the influences of authors, institutions, and journals on research output differ across domains. The study also conducted frequency-based analysis of keywords to identify key topics and visualized keyword clusters to examine topic trends. The result showed Korean LIS authors to be twice as productive as international authors but much less impactful and Korean institutions to be at comparable levels of productivity and impact in contrast to much of productivity and impact concentrated in top international institutions. Citations to journals exhibited initially increasing pattern followed by a decreasing trend though WoS journals showed far more variance than KCI journals. Co-authorship trends were much more pronounced among international publication, where larger collaboration groups suggested multi-disciplinary and complex nature of international LIS research. Keyword analysis found continuing diversification of topics in international research compared to relatively static topic trend in Korea. Keyword visualization showed WoS keyword clusters to be much denser and diverse than KCI clusters. In addition, key keyword clusters of WoS were quite different from each other unlike KCI clusters which were similar.

  • The semantic web is the web paradigm that represents not general link of documents but semantics and relation of document. In addition it enables software agents to understand semantics of documents. We propose a semantic search based on inference with ontologies, which has the following characteristics. First, our search engine enables retrieval using explicit ontologies to reason though a search keyword is different from that of documents. Second, although the concept of two ontologies does not match exactly, can be found out similar results from a rule based translator and ontological reasoning. Third, our approach enables search engine to increase accuracy and precision by using explicit ontologies to reason about meanings of documents rather than guessing meanings of documents just by keyword. Fourth, domain ontology enables users to use more detailed queries based on ontology-based automated query generator that has search area and accuracy similar to NLP. Fifth, it enables agents to do automated search not only documents with keyword but also user-preferable information and knowledge from ontologies. It can perform search more accurately than current retrieval systems which use query to databases or keyword matching. We demonstrate our system, which use ontologies and inference based on explicit ontologies, can perform better than keyword matching approach .

  • Purpose Recently, social interest in the convergence research is at its peak. However, contrary to the keen interest in convergence research, an infrastructure that makes it easier to recruit researchers from other fields is not yet well established, which is why researchers are having considerable difficulty in carrying out real convergence research. In this study, we implemented a researcher recommendation system that helps researchers who want to collaborate easily recruit researchers from other fields, and we expect it to serve as a springboard for growth in the convergence research field. Design/methodology/approach In this study, we implemented a system that recommends proper researchers when users enter keyword in the field of research that they want to collaborate using word embedding techniques, word2vec. In addition, we also implemented function of keyword suggestions by using keywords drawn from LDA Topicmodeling Algorithm. Finally, the UI of the researcher recommendation system was completed by utilizing the collaborative messenger Slack to facilitate immediate exchange of information with the recommended researchers and to accommodate various applications for collaboration. Findings In this study, we validated the completed researcher recommendation system by ensuring that the list of researchers recommended by entering a specific keyword is accurate and that words learned as a similar word with a particular researcher match the researcher's field of research. The results showed 85.89% accuracy in the former, and in the latter case, mostly, the words drawn as similar words were found to match the researcher's field of research, leading to excellent performance of the researcher recommendation system.

  • Construction automation and robotics have been widely adopted in the construction industry as a promising solution to such issues like a shortage of skilled labor and the difficulties workers face in harsh working environments. The analysis of the knowledge structure and its evolution from the existing articles helps identify essential knowledge elements and possible future research directions. This study attempts to (1) construct keyword networks from the papers published in the International Symposium on Automation and Robotics in Construction (ISARC), (2) investigate how keywords and keyword communities are associated with each other, and (3) examine the changes in the crucial keywords over time. Through cluster analysis, 79 keywords were categorized into four groups (BIM, Building construction, Sensing, and GPS as representative keywords) with similar structural positions. Research trends show that research themes related to Infrastructure, Construction equipment, and 3D have consistently received a large amount of attention, regardless of geographical region. Research on as-built status model utilization through BIM and Laser scanning and improving Energy performance is taking place more frequently. In contrast, research studies related to problem-solving based on Neural networks are not as common as previously. This study provides useful insights into the construction automation field, at both the macro and micro levels.

  • This paper introduces a method for extracting subtitles from lecture videos through a Korean morpheme analyzer and classifying video categories according to the extracted morpheme information. In some cases incorrect information is entered due to human error and reflected in the characteristics of the items, affecting the accuracy of the recommendation system. To prevent this, we generate a keyword table for each category using morpheme information extracted from pre-classified videos, and compare the similarity of morpheme in each category keyword table to classify categories of Lecture videos using the most similar keyword table. These human intervention reduction systems directly classify videos and aim to increase the accuracy of the system.

  • The recent keyword advertising does not reflect the individual customer searching pattern because it is focused on each keyword at the aggregate level. The purpose of this research is to observe processes of customer searching patterns. To be specific, individual deal-proneness is mainly concerned. This study incorporates location as a control variable. This paper examines the relationship between customers' searching patterns and probability of purchase. A customer searching session, which is the collection of sequence of keyword queries, is utilized as the unit of analysis. The degree of deal-proneness is measured using customer behavior which is revealed by customer searching keywords in the session. Deal-proneness measuring function calculates the discount of deal prone keyword leverage in accordance with customer searching order. Location searching specificity function is also calculated by the same logic. The analyzed data is narrowed down to the customer query session which has more than two keyword queries. The number of the data is 218,305 by session, which is derived from Internet advertising agency's (COMAS) advertisement managing data and the travel business advertisement revenue data from advertiser's. As a research result, there are three types of the deal-prone customer. At first, there is an unconditional active deal-proneness customer. It is the customer who has lower deal-proneness which means that he/she utilizes deal-prone keywords in the last phase. He/she starts searching a keyword like general ones and then finally purchased appropriate products by utilizing deal-prone keywords in the last time. Those two types of customers have the similar rates of purchase. However, the last type of the customer has middle deal-proneness; who utilizes deal-prone keywords in the middle of the process. This type of a customer closely gets into the information by employing deal-prone keywords but he/she could not find out appropriate alternative then would modify other keywords to look for other alternatives. That is the reason why the purchase probability in this case would be decreased Also, this research confirmed that there is a loyalty effect using location searching specificity. The customer who has higher trip loyalty for specificity location responds to selected promotion rather than general promotion. So, this customer has a lower probability to purchase.

  • Various networks can be observed in the world. Knowledge networks which are closely related with technology and research are especially important because these networks help us understand how knowledge is produced. Therefore, many studies regarding knowledge networks have been conducted. The assortativity coefficient represents the tendency of connections between nodes having a similar property as figures. The relevant characteristics of the assortativity coefficient help us understand how corresponding technologies have evolved in the keyword-based patent network which is considered to be a knowledge network. The relationships of keywords in a knowledge network where a node is depicted as a keyword show the structure of the technology development process. In this paper, we suggest two hypotheses basedon the previous research indicating that there exist core nodes in the keyword network and we conduct assortativity analysis to verify the hypotheses. First, the patents network based on the keyword represents disassortativity over time. Through our assortativity analysis, it is confirmed that the knowledge network shows disassortativity as the network evolves. Second, as the keyword-based patents network becomes disassortavie, clustering coefficients become lower. As the result of this hypothesis, weconfirm the clustering coefficient also becomes lower as the assortative coefficient of the network gets lower. Another interesting result concerning the second hypothesis is that, when the knowledge network is disassorativie, the tendency of decreasing of the clustering coefficient is much higher than when the network is assortative.
