  • In this research, a study on a shopping web site design for elderly users is performed in order for them to purchase silver products easily. Issues discussed in this study are the menu design in the product-searching stage, the method of image placement and the method of instruction offering in the product-selecting stage, and the way of payment in the purchasing stage of products. Firstly, the present conditions of domestic shopping web sites for silver products were investigated and the evaluation models were designed and developed. With these developed models, a test group of 61 elderly users were given a task of searching for and purchasing a blood pressure gauge (sphygmomanameter). Afterwards, a comprehensive survey and an in-depth interview on their preferences concerning the web site design proposed. Based on the results of the preference study, a convenient and comfortable shopping web site design for elderly users is proposed when they purchase silver products through internet.

Importing a large quantity of silver fostered the sumptuous moods and also caused the price increase in the Chosun society. The order of the society became worse because of the individual trades of rich merchants who were closely connected to high officials.

  • Because of a rising in the standard of living and the development of medical technology, Korea is expected to become an aging society more than 14% elderly population and the silver generation will be responsible for the large portion of economic activities. The silver generation has relatively diminished in perception, learning, and exercise due to the physical aging. Therefore, it is important the development of game contents which can constantly provide the maintenance function of physical and mental health and the functional exercise with spending the leisure time. In this paper, we suggest a design method for developing the game contents which are able to help the silver generation to strengthen their lower extremities and to enjoy their leisure time. The proposed method will enable to lead the silver generation to carry on the physical activities with the amusement of playing a game through the functional design concepts appropriate for the ability of the silver generation's perception and physical activities, an adaptive game process customized by the individual capability and a user-friendly sensory interface.

  • In the world, most of the metal technologists were as called as adornment artists than other field of industrial arts strongly industrial characters functional materials and manufacturing technology many used in the present age. In the study, one of adornments researched and material character analyzed about Art Clay Silver. The shrinkage rate of shape was about 0.24%. A shrinking phenomenon drying time thought of evaporation of water linking bonding agents and powders. After calcination of Art Clay Silver, the EDX used that just Ag 100% analyzed a result from the surface assay in the room temperature. A binder with powder in the room temperature considered to disappear, because it was been fume and smoke at high calcined temperature. A study showed when handicrafted necklaces make by these characteristic as using in difficult and delicated operations rather than naturally and beautifully expressive products.

  • This study concerns the flower-shaped silver crown ornament and inverted triangle-shaped crown ornament of Baekje, which were worn frequently during the Sabi period. The purpose of this study is to present a new estimated shape of the crown and ornaments. Individual excavation cases and archaeological data were analyzed. The flower-shaped silver crown ornament appears as a thin silver plate with buds on the center and side branches and is symmetrically bent from the center to form a ∧ shape. The inverted triangle-shaped crown ornament resembles two right-angle triangles that are back-to-back. The crown to which the two ornaments were added appears to be a triangular crown that was made by covering birch bark of with fabric. Both ornaments were believed to have been located on the front of crown, but that is incorrect. The flower-shaped silver crown ornament was inserted on the front of the crown, and the inverted triangle-shaped crown ornament was fixed with a tip at the top of the crown and then obliquely on the crown's side. The inferred design was confirmed with real reproductions. This study is significant in that it identifies the crown of Baekje during the Sabi period.

  • In this study, the difference in the mechanical properties of silver and cotton weft knitted fabrics was studied. Six silver fabrics for the summer ladies' knit outwear were knitted varying knit structure and fabric density. Two commercial cotton knitted fabrics were selected to compare the properties. subjective sensation of hand of the fabrics was also studied. Mechanical properties of the fabric samples were measured by KES-FB system. From these, primary hand values(HV) were evaluated by the conversion equation (KW-403-KTU) and the total hand value(THV) was carried out according to the KW-304 Summer. The result of the research show that silver weft knitted fabrics had lower LT, RT, G, 2HG and higher EM, W, LC, WC, RC than cotton weft knitted fabrics. The use of silver yam contributed to increase in surface roughness of knitted fabrics. As the silver knitted fabrics became thicker compressional energy increased. The use of silver yarns contributed to much better fabric handle compared with the use of cotton yam only. It appeared that coefficient of friction of tuck stitch was larger than that of plain and interlock stitch. KOSHI and FUKURAMI values of the tuck samples were significantly higher than those values of the plain and interlock samples, while SHARI values were low in general. The total hand value of tuck stitch was higher than those of interlock and plain stitch.
