  • This paper presents real time digital signal processor(DSP) control of UPS system feeding processor(DSP) control of UPS system feeding nonlinear loads to provide sinusoidal inverter output voltage. The control scheme is composed of an rms voltage compensator, the load current harmonics feed-forward loop for the cancellation of output voltage harmonics, and the output voltage harmonics feedback loop for system stability. The controller employs a Texas Instruments TMS320C40GFL50 DSP.

  • This paper proposes a robust model following control systems with nonlinear time varying plant. which realies good properties such as asymptotic stability, disturbance rejection and model-following with reduced sensitivity for plant parameter variation. The schemes do not incorporate any parameter identification algorithms, but the adaptation is realized through signal synthesis in a fixed parameter structure.

  • A modified repetitive control is formulated and analyzed in the discrete-time domain. Sufficient conditions for the stability of a class of repetitive controllers are given by means of the regeneration spectrum method. When a periodic signal input is drived into the two-mass-spring plant, the performance of the proposed controller which comprises a low-pass filter and two feed-forward compensators, turns out highly accurate by comparing the tracking result from the conventional LQ controller.

  • In this paper the PC power supply is studied from the point of system stability. The power stage model of a multiple output forward converter with weighted voltage mode control is derived including all the major parasitic components and the small signal model is also derived. Determination of the weighting factors and a design procedure for the loop compensation are presented. Finally the model is verified through the simulation of three output forward converter with SABER.

  • This paper describes implicit restated arnoldi method algorithm and Its application to small size power systems In order to observe the salient features of IRAM algorithm. Two area system with 36 state variables and England 39-bus system with 150 state variables have been tested using IRAM, and the eigenvalue results of IRAM are compared with those of the results obtained from QR method.

  • Since the telemanipulator consisting of high reduction ratio gear joints has a slow dynamics comparing with the master manipulator, its control signal is likely to be saturated resulting in poor tracking performance and deteriorated stability. This paper proposes a bilateral control scheme of a telemanipulator having high reduction ratio, which can compensate the control input saturation. The experimental results show that the proposed control scheme has excellent performances.

  • The paper describes the formulation of state matrix equations from the linearized multi-machine power system including network dynamics and the application of IEEE First Benchmark Model. The eigenvalues of IEEE First Benchmark Model are investigated not only by changing the compensation of series capacitance at no-load conditions, but also by varying the generator loading at fixed compensation of capacitance. In addition, the pure electrical self-excited mode is also examined by an eigen analysis and time domain simulation.

  • This paper provides an analysis of the effect of input signals, such as acceleration power and generator shaft speed for improving Power System Stabilizer(PSS) efficiency. We consider a single machine and infinite bus system which is modeled by PSCAD/EMTDC. We choose an optimum stabilizer gain with respect to eigenvalue analysis and transient stability analysis to each input signal.
