In this paper, the confirmation method of target detection for the vehicle mounted metal detector (MD) has been described. The vehicle mounted MD with the arrayed 6 coils to detect the width of 2.4 m was demonstrated. It is important and necessary to inform the location of the objects detected by the MD. The confirmation method of target detection was verified by using the MD GUI and the analysis of the receive signal processing. The receive signal processing is performed by comparing the threshold and the difference of the signal calibrated at initial location and the signal detected at present location.
When the noise has both additive and signal-dependent components, locally optimum detector test statistics are obtained for detection of weak composite signals using the generalized Neyman-Pearson lemma. In order to consider the non-additive noise as well as purely-additive noise, a generalized observation model is used in this paper. The locally optimum detector test statistics are derived for several different cases according to the relative strengths of the known signal component, the random signal component, and the signal-dependent noise component. Schematic diagrams of the locally optimum detector structures are also included.
An automatic point traffic control method is recommended for more idealistic traffic flow over coarse road netowrks. The automatic control apparatus recommended, consists of a transceiver, amplifier, digital-to-analog converter, signal light controller for emergency and steady state, and digital counter as monitor. The transmitter sends a signal to the target vy means of Microwave-FM-CW and a diode detector picks up the echo signal. Thus the operation of the entire system will be carried out through an open loop state. Some factors necessary for an ideal detector system are rapid response, longevity and stability. An analytical method of the Doppler effect substitutes the conventional frequency deviation into the amplitude of detector output. The changing rate of amplitude is proportional to the voltage of the detector output. Some induced formula from Maxwell's radiation field theory ensures this new method, and, new method, and proves the fact with an experimental data presentation. Stability depends upon Klystron as an oscillator and a diode as a detector. the transceiver installation affects on the response and sensitivity of the system. In accordance with the detector output, several targets are easily classified by amplitudes on the scope. The traffic flow, i.e., target movement which is analyzed by the amplitude method, is shown through the scope and indicates it on the digital counter. The best efficiency for the amplitude analysis can be attained through use of an antenna having the highest sensitivity.
In this paper, peak detector of generator's output voltage and variable gain controller are introduced for a fast dynamic response. The conventional r,m.s, signal detected has inherent time delay, and the dynamic response of generator using conventional PID controller has some problem in sudden load change. In this paper, the peak detector and signal selector with variable gain controller is used to overcome this problem. The main controller can check the voltage state from the peak detector. When a sudden load change, the over-voltage and under-voltage signal from peak detector change the controller's gain and exciter's current reference. The proposed scheme can improve the dynamic response, which is verified from experimental test of 200kW diesel engine-generator.

We have developed an on-line ultrasonic detector to monitor partial discharge in an operating transformer. The ultrasonic sensor has 150[KHz] resonance frequency and contains a pre-amplifier with 60[㏈] gain. The on-line ultrasonic detector has 50~300[KHz] frequency band-pass filter to remove electrical and mechanical noises from the transformer. This detector has an ultrasonic signal discrimination algorithm which discriminates ultrasonic signals due to partial discharge in a transformer. A moving average method of ultrasonic signal number was employed to effectively monitor the increasing trend of the partial discharge. This paper describes an experience of partial discharge detection in a 154[㎸] operating transformer using an ultrasonic detector. With regards to gas analysis in oil, C2H2 gas was produced with a warning level in this transformer We detected ultrasonic signals on the transformer steel wall, and estimated the position of partial discharge. With further inspection, we found carbonized marks due to partial discharge on the supporting bolt which fastens the windings.
A passive type radon monitor adopting two silicon PIN detector as radiation detector has been developed, manufactured and test-evaluated. A radiation signal processing circuit has been electronically tested and then the radiation detection characteristics of this instrument has been performance-tested by using reference radon concentration and a reference photon radiation field. As a result, in a electronic performance test, radiation signals from each detector were well observed in each signal processing circuit. The radiation detection sensitivity of this instrument after several test-irradiations to a Cs-137 gamma radiation source and a standard radon concentration appeared to be 1.37 cph/$\mu$Svh-1 and 1.66 pCi/L respectively. The developed radon monitor in this paper could be used conveniently in monitoring of radon concentration in buildings which population utilize in Korea.
Nowadays, the tracking technology of Quadrant Detector will become actual by new micro devices. Based on the past filed data of the reception experiment with COMETS satellite, we have studied on new device (AD8302, phase difference detector) was acquired and suspect its abilities. In 1998, we have developed a Quadrant Detector for mobile to track a weak signal from satellite on Ka band of COMETS. The Quadrant Detector is comprised of four dedicated feed components for reception under an environment of Nakagami - Rician fading, and one transmission and reception feed component. We were successful in receiving a 23 GHz beacon signal from ICE transponder of the COMETS and succeeded in tracking the satellite from a moving vehicle at speeds of approximately 10 ~ 20 Km/h on paved roads. In 2018, with new device AD8302, we have verified new QD system and performed a simulation, based on the past filed experiment. This new device shall be improving the tracking abilities from mobile body on the earth to the multimedia satellite.
In this paper we present a new formula which can predict the exact detection probability of a generalized order statistics (GOS) constant false alarm rate (DFAR) detector for a partially correlated Rayleigh target model (0 < $ \rho$< 1) in a closed form, where $\rho$ is the correlation coefficient between returned pulses. By simply substituting a set of specific coefficient into the derived formula, one can obtain the detection probability of any kind of CFAR detector. Detectors may include the order statistics CFAR detector, the censored mean level detector, and the trimmed mean CFAR detector, but are not necessarily restricted to them. The numerical result for the first order Markov correlation model as applied to some of the detectors shows that as $\rho$ increases from zero to one, higher signal-to-noise ratio is required to achieve the same detection probability.
