  • In this paper, we proposed the electric circuit using one common arm of H-Bridge Inverters to reduce the number of switching component in multi-level inverter combined with H-Bridge Inverters and Transformers. and furthermore we suggested the new multi-level PWM inverter using PWM level to reduce THD(Total Harmonic Distortion). and we used the switching method that can be same rate of usage at each transformer. Also, we tested the proposed prototype 9-level inverter to clarify the proposed electric circuit and reasonableness of control signal for the proposed multi-level PWM inverter.

  • Diabetes mellitus has become a major growing public health problem worldwide. More than 90% of all diabetes cases are classified as type 2 diabetes (T2D), which is also known as non-insulin dependent diabetes. Protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP1B) plays an important role in the negative regulation of insulin signal transduction pathway and has emerged as novel therapeutic strategy for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. PTP1B inhibitors enhance the sensibility of insulin receptor (IR) and have favorable curing effect for insulin resistance-related diseases. Recently twelve anti-diabetic xanthones were isolated from the bark of Garcinia xanthochymus. Hence, in the present study, molecular docking was carried out for these twelve xanthones. The objective of this work is to study the interaction of the newly isolated xanthones with PTP1B. The docking results showed that xanthones have good interactions and has better docking score with PTP1B and suggest LYS120 and ASP181 are the important residues involved in interaction between PTP1B enzyme and the xanthones.

  • We consider a two-hop multiple-relay network implemented with opportunistic decode-and-forward cooperative strategy, where the first hop and second hop links experience different fading (Rayleigh and Rician). We derive the exact expressions of end-to-end outage probability and analyze the approximate results in high signal-to-noise ratio region. The analysis shows that the same diversity order can be achieved even in different mixed fading environments. Simulation results are provided to verify our analysis.

  • The purpose of this paper is to explain eigenstructure based spatial spectrum estimation algorithms computing better estimates than the other approaches. Also, as an approach to overcome performance degradations in a multipath environments, the notion of forward and backwark spatial smoothing is discussed. Intensive simulation results, which include the comparisons of the eigenbased spatial spectral estimation algorithms in the situations of faulty estimation of the number of signals, are presented. The simulation results have shown that overestimation of the number of signals is more desirable than underestimation in using EV (Eigen Vector) and MUSIC (Multiple Signal Classification) algorithms and that underestimation of the number of signals is better strategy than overestimation in using eigenstructure based LP(Linear Prediction) algorithms.

  • Instead of using signal-to-noise ratio, we attempt to optimize both the mean and variance responses using dual response optimization technique. The alternative experimental strategy analyzes a robust parameter design problem to obtain the best settings that give a target condition on the mean while minimizing its variance. The mean and variance are treated as the two responses of interest to be optimized. Unlike to the crossed array and combined array approaches, our experimental setup requires replicated runs for each control factor's treatment under noise sampling. When the postulated response models are true, they enable the coefficients to be estimated and the desired performance measure to be analyzed more efficiently. The procedure and illustrative example are given for the dual response optimization techniques of nonlinear goal programming.

  • One of the major issues that has to be carefully considered when upgrading current transport network capacity, is network scalability. A novel full-meshed connected ring expansion methodology and planning tool have been proposed. A 3 to 15 node expansion ring has been studied by demonstrating a dramatic system SNR improvement when the proposed planning tool was used. The results are that node output signal and optical SNR have been improved from -16dBm/10dB to +005dBm/21dB by NPOT.

  • In hybrid renewable power systems, the use of a multiple-input dc/dc converter (MIC) leads to simpler circuit and lower cost, when compared to the conventional use of several single-input converters. This paper proposed a novel three-input buck/boost/buck-boost converter, which can be used in applications with various values of input voltage. The energy sources in this converter can deliver power to the load either simultaneously or individually in one switching period. The steady relationship, the power management strategy and the small-signal circuit model of this converter have been derived. With decoupling technology, modeling and regulator design can be obtained under multi-loop control modes. Finally, three generating methods of a multiple-input buck/boost/buck-boost converter is given, and this method can be extended to the other multiple-input dc/dc converters.

  • This paper proposes a 3 kW single-phase bi-directional multi-level converter for energy storage applications. The proposed topology is based on the H-bridge structure with four switches connected to the DC-link. A simple phase opposition disposition PWM method that requires only one carrier signal is also suggested. The switching sequence to balance the capacitor voltage is considered. The topology can be extended to a nine-level converter or a three-phase system. The operating principle of the proposed converter is verified through a simulation and an experiment.

  • The automatic-driverless operation, a very important technique for metro railways, is necessary for achieving higher safety, greater reliability, and bigger transport capacity. To achieve these things, we have to build up the system design and tasting techniques for the railway system operation. These techniques are related to the onboard train control and communication systems which include TCMS(Train Control and Monitoring System), ATO(automatic train Operation), ATC(Automatic train Control), and TWC(Train to wayside communication). These sub-systems should interface not only with each other but also between the sub-systems and the signal system on the ground. For the saving of energy, we designed coasting strategy of ATO system, In this paper, we developed ATO system and tested on the test line and ...
