프레임율 변환을 위한 주파수 영역에서의 블로킹 현상 검출 (Blocking Artifacts Detection in Frequency Domain for Frame Rate Up-conversion)

  • 본 논문에서는 MC-FRUC(Motion Compensated Frame Rate Up-Conversion) 에서 사용될 수 있는 주파수 영역에서의 블로킹 현상(blocking artifacts) 검출 알고리즘을 제안한다. MC-FRUC 알고리즘은 블록 단위로 움직임 벡터를 계산하여 움직임 보상을 수행함으로써 블록 경계선 주변에서 블로킹 현상이 발생할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 효율적인 블로킹 현상 검출을 위해 보간된 영상(interpolated frame)의 주파수 성분을 분석하여 블록경계에서 블록킹 현상을 감소시킨다. 실험결과에서 제안된 알고리즘이 기존의 FRUC 방법보다 더 나은 주관적 화질을 보인다. 제안한 방법은 또한 기존의 BDMC(Bi-Directional Motion Compensation) 대비 평균 약 0.45 dB PSNR(Peak Signal to Noise Ratio)이 향상되었다.

위성통신용 Ku-Band 믹서에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Mixer for Satellite Communication at Ku-Band)

  • 본 논문은 마이크로웨이브 시뮬레이션 CAD, LINMIC+을 이용하여 소신호 산란계수로 Ku-band용 FET 주파수혼합기를 설계 및 구현하였다. 입력주파수 14GHz에서 구현한 주파수혼합기의 성능을 국부발진 전력레벨이 +1dBm일때 중간주파수 1GHz에서 9.88dB의 변환이득을 얻었다. 또 중간주파수 1.1GHz에서 최대변환이득 11.71dB를 얻었다. 결국 신호주파수 증폭기나 중간주파수 증폭기의 필요성이 낮아진다. 또 낮은 국부발진 전력레벨로 원하는 변환이득을 유지하면서 주파수의 혼합이 가능함을 입증하였다. 변환이득(conversion gain)은 가용이득보다 큰 것을 실험적으로 확인하였다.

  • In this paper, the switching mode conversion type pulse charger by fly-back converter method for lead battery of the solar cell generator equipment is proposed. And we propose the control circuit and design method of insulated switching mode convert type pulse charger by fly-back convert method in the lead battery. The proposed system can minimize the current consumption by digital pulse. Also the proposed system can generate the constant 10[KHz] frequency, transmit the signal with main control system in the power control system. And it supervises the state of lead battery using one chip micro processor. The proposed the switching mode conversion type pulse charger by the fly-back converter method can charge fast and stabilize lead battery with nominal value 12[V], 20[AH]. Also we propose the design procedure of the power control circuit for turn ratio of fly-back inductor and determining method of values such as the charging current, bulk current, partial current, over current value and fixed charging voltage. The experiment results for the voltage and current wave for partial, bulk, over and fixed charging period show the good charging effect and performance. And the PCB and internal coupling diagram of the switching mode conversion type pulse charger by fly-back converter method is presented.

  • 본 논문에서는 K-band 응용을 위한 $0.18\;{\mu}m$ CMOS 공정을 기반으로 한 새로운 방색의 four-port BPSK 직접 변환 수신기를 제안하고 검증한다. 제안한 직접 변환 수신기는 두 개의 능동 결합기, 집중 소자 LC 발룬, 두 개의 전력 검출기, 그리고 아날로그 디코더로 구성되어 있다. 설계된 직접 변환 수신기는 K-bnad 반송파 주파수의 데이터율 40 Mbps까지의 BPSK 변조 신호를 성공적으로 복조하였다.

  • A 2.45GHz double-balanced modified Gilbert-type CMOS up-conversion mixer design is introduced, where the PMOS current-reuse bleeding technique is demonstrated to be efficient in improving conversion gain, linearity, and noise performance. An LO buffer is included in the mixer design to perform single-ended to differential conversion of the LO signal on chip. Simulation results of the design based on careful modeling of all active and passive components are examined to explain in detail about the characteristic improvement and degradation provided by the proposed design. Two kinds of chips were fabricated using a standard $0.35\mu\textrm$ CMOS process, one of which is the mixer chip without the LO buffer and the other is the one with it. The measured characteristics of the fabricated chips are quite excellent in terms of conversion gain, linearity, and noise, and they are in close match to the simulation results, which demonstrates the adequacy of the modeling approach based on the macro models for all the active and passive devices used in the design. Above all the benefits provided by the current-reuse bleeding technique, the improvement in noise performance seems most valuable.

Development of Optical Signal Transmission for the KSTAR Project Pertaining to Instrumentation and Control of the Neutral Beam Test Stand at KAERI

  • Instrumentation and Control (I&C) of the Neutral Beam Test Stand (NB- TS) Facility at the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) for the Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research (KSTAR) project has been underway since the start of the project to answer the diverse requests arising from the various facets of the development and construction phases of the project. Optical signal transmission constitutes a significant portion of I&C works and has been performed for the entirety of the project. During the NB- TS construction and related experiments, significant achievements to a more accurate as well as more refined optical signal transmissions have been made. Examples of those I&C works that utilized the optical signal transmission are the Langmuir probe signal transmission, gradient grid current signal transmission, gas flow control and signal transmission, ion source temperature measurement, beam line component temperature monitoring, and coolant flow signal transmission, etc. These optical signal transition provisions are now performing part of the indispensable functions for the proper operation of the NB- TS facility. Attained experience and expertise are expected to be well applied to the upcoming main neutral beam injection (NBI) system construction for the KSTAR project.

  • I propose a modeling of a mechanism for weight fire uniformity measurement of a tire and a way I interpret a Sampling signal by Loadcell through an analysis, and to measure fire uniformity in this study. Correct a weight fire uniformity measurement was possible through the production of conversion and influence factor of a signal with a basis with the model who was an oscillation mechanics enemy.

  • Signal Attenuation in the design of satellite channel is due mostly to rain. In this paper, the rain rate characteristics based on the recent year(1994-1996) data for Changwon-Masan were approximated to Moupfouma distribution, and the parameters of distribution were calculated from a simple conversion method of 1-h rate to 1-min rain rate data. From rain rate characteristics, the rain attenuation was estimated and compared with CCR model, Global model and SAM model.

  • This paper presents a power supply of railway signal system using a Z-source inverter. The Z-source inverter overcomes the conceptual and theoretical barriers and limitations of the tradition voltage-source inverter and current-source inverter and provides novel power conversion concept. The Z-source inverter is a Buck-Boost inverter that has a wide range of obtainable voltage.

  • 본 논문에서는 공통의 플랫폼을 기반으로 하는 모바일 와이맥스 기지국 운용용 휴대형 신호분석 시스템의 설계방법을 제안하고, 이를 하드웨어 모듈로 구현하였다. 새롭게 제안한 신호분석 방법은 RF 신호의 IF 신호로의 하향 변환 및 이득제어를 수행하는 광대역 RF 모듈과 계측 기능을 수행하는 DSP 기반 디지털 신호분석 모듈로 구현하는 것이다. 타 고정 대형 시스템과의 비교를 통해 수행한 신호분석 알고리즘의 성능을 검증한 결과, 분해능의 차이는 없음을 확인하였다.
