공기 분리용 열분해 탄소막 (Pyrolytic Carbon Membranes for Air Separations)

  • Carbon molecular sieve (CMS) membranes were synthesized by the pyrolysis of polymeric precursors. The CMS materials had oxygen-nitrogen selectivities much higher than those observed for the polymeric precursors. Typically molecular sieving materials have diffusion selectivities much higher than polymeric materials. This has been identified as a result of higher entropic selectivity of the molecular sieving materials. A study of the development of molecular sieving properties as the polymeric precursor is pyrolyzed into a CMS material will offer us an insight into polymeric molecular structures needed for enhanced entropic selectivity membrane materials.

  • 균일한 크기의 미세 기공이 규칙적으로 배열되어 있는 다공성 분자체 물질 (porous molecular sieve materials)은 분자 단계의 물질들을 선택적으로 분리 흡착할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있으며, 이를 이용하여 다양한 화학 반응의 촉매 및 촉매의 담체로서 널리 사용되어 왔다. 미세 기공 물질은 IUPAC 정의에 따르면 세공의 크기에 따라 기공의 직경이 1.5 nm 미만인 마이크로포러스 물질 (microporous materials), 1.5 nm 이상 50 nm 미만의 메조포러스 물질(mesoporous materials), 그리고 50 nm 이상의 매크로포러스 물질 (macroporous materials)로 나누어진다.   • Let $P_r$ denote an almost-prime with at most r prime factors, counted according to multiplicity. In this paper, it is proved that for every sufficiently large even integer N, the equation $$N=x^2+p_1^2+p_2^3+p_3^3+p_4^4+p_5^4$$ is solvable with x being an almost-prime $P_4$ and the other variables primes. This result constitutes an improvement upon that of $L{\ddot{u}}$ [7].

Detecting artefacts in analyses of extreme wind speeds

  • The impact of artefacts in archived wind observations on the design wind speed obtained by extreme value analysis is demonstrated using case studies. A signpost protocol for detecting candidate artefacts is described and its performance assessed by comparing results against previously validated data. The protocol targets artefacts by exploiting the serial correlation between observations. Additional "sieve" algorithms are proposed to identify types of correctable artefact from their "signature" in the data. In extreme value analysis, artefacts displace valid observations only when they are larger, hence always increase the design wind speed. Care must be taken not identify large valid values as artefacts, since their removal will tend to underestimate the design wind speed.

  • This study is to investigate the application of concrete with crushed sand on site. As a result, it is showed that the combined sand mixed with sea sand is very desirable for obtaining workability and strength of concrete, and the optimal replacement percentage of crushed sand is 50% with sea sand. After all, the crushed sand could be sufficiently used as a fine aggregate for concrete in the aspect of economical efficiency and quality, but the particle shape and microsand passing No.200 sieve should be firstly improved for increasing workability of concrete on site.

  • 최근에 개발된 세 종류의 고체산 촉매를 간단히 설평하였다. 클로버라이트는 매우 큰 세공이 있는 분자체이고, 티타늄실리케이트는 구조가 기존의 분자체와 다르며, Envirocat은 염화알루미늄 촉매를 대체하기 위해 개발된 촉매이다.
