Rhodochorton purpureum 4187 from Jeju Island, Korea may have a sexual life history similar to that seen by other investigators working on other strains around the world. In culture short days (8:16, 11:13, 12:12 LD) at 10-15°C induced tetrasporogenesis. Discharged spores were observed with time lapse videomicroscopy. They showed a slight amoeboid movement for 2-3 minutes before rounding up and settling. Tetrasporelings develop into male and female gametophytes. No fertilisation was observed. Tetrasporangia often were borne on carpogonial clusters of females but no discharged spores were seen. Isolate 4241 from San Juan I., Washington, USA grew well in most conditions tested but did not reproduce in short days (8:16, 11:13, 12:12 LD) at 10-15°C.

The purpose of this study was to investigate whether strategic alliance sales promotions have short-term or long-term or sales or communication effects in the family restaurant industry. The hypotheses were tested in family restaurant settings using a sample of customers visiting and enjoying food in the metropolitan city of Daegu. Empirical results confirmed that strategic alliance sales promotions had short-term and long-term effects, as well as sales and communication effects. Therefore, family restaurant managers should adopt or keep sales promotion strategic alliances with credit card companies. Furthermore, family restaurant managers should adopt or keep sales promotions with other companies. In a future study, more variables should be selected to test the sales promotion effects of strategic alliances.

This thesis mainly studies the impact of short-term memory in VR tour games on users. The thesis is based on VR tour games and short-term memory, using the literature research method, the practical research method, and the investigation method. First, the author designs and makes VR tour games on the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, and then conducts a questionnaire survey and designs a control experiment. The experiment explores the differences of the short-term memory level of individuals between the normal environment and the VR tour game environment. It verifies whether the influential hypothesis proposed by the research is correct. Research conclusions show that: VR tour games have an impact on short-term memory. Compared with the normal environment, the subjects have better performance in the VR tour game mode and can maintain a high short-term memory level for a longer time. Its conclusions should promote the cultural propaganda of scenic spots and provide theoretical support for tourists' short-term memory of scenic spots culture.

This study explores the convergence of metaverse and short-form content, proposing a new approach for viewing short-form content with a vertical aspect ratio on a metaverse platform and within a virtual museum. Short-form content has gained popularity due to the snack culture and is proving to be advantageous in e-commerce. By studying the relationship between vertical ratio screens and gaze, we confirm the effectiveness of vertical ratio short-form content in providing immersive experiences and fostering sharing and communication. The proposed virtual museum offers opportunities for innovative businesses to market through fandom. This research highlights the value of vertical proportion short-form content and its significance in the convergence of metaverse and short-form content. It aims to contribute to industry development, provide new creative directions, enhance personal visual experiences, and expand applicability in related fields.

Objective : The purpose of this study were to examine internal reliability and internal validity for Short Sensory Profile(SSP) and to suggest the useful criteria for sensory processing abilities in Korean culture. Methods : The Short Sensory Profile(SSP) was completed by mothers of 304 children typically developing between 3 to 10 years of age in those preschool, kindergarten and elementary school located Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. The total agency for this study was 14 facilities and the period of study was from July, 2002 to June, 2003. Kim Mi Sun(2001) translated and modified the Short Sensory Profile that Macintoshi developed and the tool for the study was used. The data were analyzed with reliability test and Pearson's correlation. Results : 1. Internal reliability of the total tests and sections was estimated by calculating Cronbach's Alphas. Reliability value of the total tests was .889. 2. For internal validity the correlations range from .131 to .575 in magnitude, suggesting that the sections of the Short Sensory Profile tap relatively unique constructs and support the factor structure developed. 3. The total score of the Short Sensory Profile(SSP) range from 118 to 190, mean and SD was 163.12, 14.87. 4. Of 403 children represented by the survey, 32 children(10.5%) met criteria for sensory processing disorders based upon parental perceptions. 5. Cut scores were determined by computing the raw score cut scores for -1 SD and -2 SD. The normal group of sensory processing abilities had score which range from 190 to 149, the probable problem group had score which range from 148 to 134, and the definite problem group had score which range from 133 to 138. Conclusion : Findings from the above study suggest that Short Sensory Profile be the screening tool for sensory processing disorders within Korean culture. Further research is needed to compare with children with the various sensory processing disabilities(PDD, LD, CP ect,).

Oxygen sensitivity and substrate requirement have been known as possible reasons for the intricate growth of Dehalococcoides spp. and limiting factors of for routinely applying bioaugmentation using anaerobic Dehalococcoides-containing microbes for remediating chlorinated organic compounds. To explore the effect of the short-term exposure of the short-term exposure of oxygen on Dehalococcoides capability, dechlorination performance, and hydrogen production fermentation from formate, an anaerobic reductive dechlorination mixed-culture (Evanite culture) including dehalococcoides spp. was in this study. In the results, once the mixed-culture were exposed to oxygen, trichloroethylene (TCE) degradation rate decreased and it was not fully recovered even addition of excess formate for 40 days. In contrast, hydrogen was continuously produced by hydrogen-fermentation process even under oxygen presence. The results indicate that although the oxygen-exposed cells cannot completely dechlorinate TCE to ethylene (ETH), hydrogen fermentation process was not affected by oxygen presence. These results suggest that dechlorinating microbes may more sensitive to oxygen than fermenting microbes, and monitoring dechlorinators activity may be critical to achieve an successful remediation of a TCE contaminated-aquifer through bioaugmentation using Dehalococcoides spp..

This simple culture device is based on the microtube culture method (Cho, 1974). The microtube culture system was placed in a plastic tube (Falcon, 12 $\\times$ 75 mm) and the transporting system used in the present study were Trans-Temp 310 (Royal Industries, 209 D 135-1). The simple culture device in the Trans-Temp 310 seems to be an available method for short term culture and some distance transportation of oocytes and embryos.

In recent times, short videos have become highly popular among college students, serving as a vibrant platform for information sharing and self-expression, while fostering a unique culture. However, their excessive consumption can lead to negative effects like reduced concentration and information overload, necessitating a balanced approach and self-control. Our study examined the impact of different characteristics of short video media on college students' organizational commitment and mental health. The findings highlighted that attributes such as accessibility and immediacy positively influence different levels of engagement, and that organizational commitment significantly affects students' mental well-being. The research underscores the importance of judicious use of short video media to positively affect college students' mental health.

Four cyclopoids were tested for laboratory culture. Among these animals, only Eucyclops serrulatus was successfully cultured in the laboratory. Under the laboratory culture condition, nine kinds of diets were tested for the suitability of nauplius development. Development and reproduction of E. serrulatus were also investigated. Chlamydomonas reinhardii was the only one which could induce complete development from nauplii to adults. It was found that E. serrulatus had relatively short generation time, could produce lots of progenies, and could be handled easily, allowing to obtain many individuals during a short period. With these characteristics, this species may be a candidate for a good test organism for evaluating freshwater pollution.

This research analyzed the characteristics of Hanfu street snaps in the Chinese version of TikTok to determine the development and meaning of Hanfu. Based on grounded theory, this study selected 102 representative cases by sorting Hanfu street snaps on TikTok according to popularity. Subsequently, through open coding, the cases were organized and summarized into five main categories. The findings are as follows: 1) The national cultural pride has enabled a greater number of Hanfu fans and groups to upload short videos promoting the Hanfu movement on TikTok to expand the influence of the activities and popularize cultural knowledge. 2) The users attempted cross-cultural communication by participating in cultural festivals in Western countries wearing Hanfu. 3) The 'See now buy now' function of TikTok enables numerous Hanfu merchants to upload short videos about Hanfu products to promote their products and boost sales. 4) As 'gamification' affects everyday life, computer game enthusiasts among them wear Hanfu in the form of role-playing. 5)As a unique "meme" phenomenon on TikTok, wearing Hanfu to make interesting videos has also become a form of entertainment. Thus, although the characteristics of Hanfu street snaps on TikTok originated from the transmission of Hanfu culture, the culture has now been transformed through social media into symbolic consumption and play culture.
