Over the last few years, lead-free inorganic metal perovskites have gained impressive ground in empowering satellites in space exploration owing to their material stability and performance evolution under extreme space environments. The present work has examined the versatility of eight such perovskites as space radiation shielding materials by computing their photon, charged particles and neutron interaction parameters. Photon interaction parameters were calculated for a wide energy range using PAGEX software. The ranges of heavy charged particles (H, He, C, N, O, Ne, Mg, Si and Fe ions) in these perovskites were estimated using SRIM software in the energy range 1 keV-10 GeV, and that of electrons was computed using ESTAR NIST software in the energy range 0.01 MeV-1 GeV. Further, the macroscopic fast neutron removal cross-sections were also calculated to estimate the neutron shielding efficiencies. The examined shielding parameters of the perovskites varied depending on the radiation type and energy. Among the selected perovskites, Cs2TiI6 and Ba2AgIO6 displayed superior photon attenuation properties. A 3.5 cm thick Ba2AgIO6-based shield could reduce the incident radiation intensity to half its initial value, a thickness even lesser than that of Pb-glass. Besides, CsSnBr3 and La0.8Ca0.2Ni0.5Ti0.5O3 displayed the highest and lowest range values, respectively, for all heavy charged particles. Ba2AgIO6 showed electron stopping power (on par with Kovar) better than that of other examined materials. Interestingly, La0.8Ca0.2Ni0.5Ti0.5O3 demonstrated neutron removal cross-section values greater than that of standard neutron shielding materials - aluminium and polyethylene. On the whole, the present study not only demonstrates the employment prospects of eco-friendly perovskites for shielding space radiations but also suggests future prospects for research in this direction.
Therapy equipment have taken progress for Cancer make use of Radiation for the normal tissue system make much of important for shielding. In modern times independent jaw setting to used equipment as possible make use of asymmetric field. Therefore, the asymmetric field be leave out of consideration wedge factor because of with used wedge for the most of part. These experimentation find out have an effect on the dosimetry of out put compared with of the difference between the symmetric field and asymmetic field for the wedge factor.
In order to calculate dose rates from steam generators to be replaced from Kori unit 1 in 1998, radionuclide inventories inside steam generator were evaluated from smear test results and measured dose rates from S/G tubes withdrawn for the metallographical examination of damaged tubes. Based on the inventories, contact dose rates and dose rates at 1 m from the surface of a steam generator were calculated using the QAD-CG computer code. Contact dose rates ranged from 11.5 mR/hr at the bottom of channel head to 37.7 mR/hr at the middle of shell barrel, and showed no significant difference with dose rates at 1 m from the surface of steam generator. Shielding effects of lead and carbon steel were compared to provide basic shielding data. Lead shield showed excellent shielding effects. Dose rate at 1 m from the middle of S/G shell barrel decreased from 38.6 mR/hr to 15.5 mR/hr with the lead shield of 2 mm thickness. However, carbon steel showed a poor shielding effect even with the thickness of 2.0 cm. This can be explained with the great differences in the attenuation effect and buildup factor between lead and carbon steel for low energy photons.

In case of a line-to-ground fault at transmission lines, a portion of fault current will flow into the earth through the footings of the faulted tower causing electrical potential rise nearby the faulted tower footings. In this situation, any buried pipelines or structures nearby the faulted tower can be exposed to the electrical stress by earth potential rise. Although many research works has been conducted on this phenomena, there has been no clear answer of the required separation distance between tower footings and neary buried pipeline because of its dependancy on the soil electrical charactersics of the concerned area and the faulted system.

Many persons and electronic devices are exposed to electromagnetic (EM) waves generated from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment, EM pulses (EMPs), and many other kinds of EM wave devices. Finger strips are used to provide shielding from these EM waves. Because of the high thermal conductivity of finger strips, they are used in the design of specialized doors that are installed in shielded rooms. In this study, we perform an accelerated life test using the load acceleration stress, which affects the main failure mode of finger strips. We predict the life of the finger strip under normal usage conditions based on the results of the accelerated life test. We compare the results with those predicted from the life test under normal usage conditions to evaluate the validity of accelerated life testing.
The dose calculations for blocked fields were studied. The shielding block correction factors(K$_{b}$) as a function of collimator and blocked field size(r$_{c}$ and r$_{b}$) were measured. A simplified $K_{b}$ as a function of $A_{r}$ (the A/P ratio of r$_{b}$ to r$_{c}$) was determined by measured data and a fitting function for $K_{b}$ was obtained. We found that the corrections of $K_{b}$ for blocked fields in MU(monitor units) calculations need not take into account in common case of $A_{r}$ \ulcorner1 but the errors will be 3.5% in particular case such as $A_{r}$ = 0.5. These results imply that the shielding block correction for blocked fields in clinical dose calculations must be considered.
We investigated the radiation shielding competence for TeO2-V2O5-MoO3 glasses. The Phy-X software was used to report the radiation shielding parameters for the present glasses. With an increase in TeO2 and MoO3 content, the samples' linear attenuation coefficient improves. However, at low energies, this change is more apparent. At low energy, the present samples have an effective atomic number (Zeff) that is relatively high (in order of 16.17-24.48 at 0.347 MeV). In addition, the findings demonstrated that the density of the samples is a very critical factor in determining the half value layer (HVL). The minimal HVL for each sample can be found at 0.347 MeV and corresponds to 1.776, 1.519, 1.391, 1.210 and 1.167 cm for Te1 to Te5 respectively. However, the highest HVL of these glasses is recorded at 1.33 MeV, which corresponds to 3.773, 3.365, 3.218, 2.925 and 2.908 cm respectively. The tenth value layer results indicate that the thickness of the specimens needs to be increased in order to shield the photons that have a greater energy. Also, the TVL results demonstrated that the sample with the greatest TeO2 and MoO3 concentration has a higher capacity to attenuate photons.
In this study, we have performed systematical FEM analysis for design of open-ended 3-layer magnetic shield. For the simulation to calculated shielding factors, the relative permeability was varied in the range of $2{\times}10^3\sim1{\times}10^5$, and the length of the magnetic cylinders and length difference between layers were changed. We found that the shielding factor of -60 dB were obtained with the relative permeability of over 20000 and the lengths of magnetic layers of 40 cm, 45 cm and 50 cm, and the uniform magnetic field could be obtained in the range of $10cm{\times}10cm-\phi$.
