  • This research intends to observe the effects of social capital regarding fashion social enterprises on the community sense of participating consumers, and verify the relationship of the effects that such social capital and community sense have on sustainability formation variable(shared values, suitability of values, behavioral flow, cognitive belief and long-term relationship orientation) of social enterprises. For such analysis, a sample of 400 consumers with experience of purchasing products of fashion social enterprises more than once was utilized, and path analysis was conducted utilizing AMOS 20.0. As a result of this research, first, information sharing, social participation among the characteristic factors of social enterprises' social capital had a meaningful impact on shared values, and self-pursuit and significance meaningfully affected the suitability of values. Second, mutual influence, sense of belonging, satisfaction of needs and emotional bond among the characteristic factors of community sense between social enterprises and consumers meaningfully affected shared values, whereas mutual influence, sense of belonging and emotional bond substantially influenced suitability of values. Third, shared values and suitability of values affected the relationship between behavioral flow and cognitive trust, and behavioral flow and cognitive trust both had meaningful impact on long-term relationship orientation.

  • The cluster system with shared-nothing storage cannot escape from the problem of skewed request toward specific contents. This paper, therefore, suggests streaming method using MDC (Multiple Description Coding) instead of using single original content; this method is able to cope with skewed request in shared-nothing storage server as well as to continue to provide services in case of the system failure. Also, the system can support adaptive streaming service according to user player type, network status, the load of server, and client.

  • Low-cost commodity SMP(Symmetric Multiprocessor) is widely used as a node of cluster system. In this paper, we implement and evaluate the performance of SDSM system for SMP clusters. Our SDSM system provides HLRC(Home-based Lazy Release Consistency) memory consistency model. Our protocol utilize shared memory within same SMP node, so that page fetch and message passing through network can be reduced. It is implemented on 8 node of 2-way Pentium-III SMP interconnected with 100Mbps Fast Ethernet, and uses TCP/IP for transport/network layer protocol. The experiment with eight applications shows that our SMP protocol achieves maximum 33% speedup improvement and 13%-52% reduction of page fetch compared with uniprocessor protocol.

  • Though shared virtual memory (SVM) system promise low cost solutions for high performance computing they suffer from long memory latencies. These latencies are usually caused by repetitive invalidations on shared data. Since shared data are accessed through synchronization and the patterns by which threads synchronizes are repetitive, a prefetching scheme bases on such repetitiveness would reduce memory latencies. Based on this observation, we propose a prefetching technique which predicts future access behavior by analyzing access history per synchronization variable. Our technique was evaluated on an 8-node SVM system using the SPLASH-2 benchmark. The results show the our technique could achieve 34%~45% reduction in memory access latencies.

  • In this paper, we developed the scheme to grow to use newly added disk space without having to kill the application, unmount file system. This scheme, called online resizing, can resize the file system layout with the advent of Logical Volume Manager. The online resizing scheme is designed and implemented in linux cluster system where multiple hosts share the disk data in storage area network environment. It is incorporated with SANfs shared file system and can perform resizing technique with SANfs-VM volume manager. The experimental result shows that it can maximize the availability and capacity of the SANfs system which are important for modem servers where must not lose their customer.

  • In this paper, we propose a new architecture of the PN code acquistion system which has some shared blocks in order to reduce the hardware complexity. The proposed system has an energy calculation block which is shared by two active correlators. Our system is designed suitable for IS-95 based CDMA PCS. The new architecture was designed and simulated using VHDL. Also, We implemented it with Altera FPGA, and verified our system. The gate count is about 7,500. Our proposed architecture is also useful for multi-carrier system which uses the multiple searcher.

  • In this paper, we define a Process Algebra ACSMR(Algebra of Communicating Shared Multiple Resources) for system specification and verification using multiple resources. ACSMR extends a concept of multiple resources in ACSR that is a branch of formal methods based on process algebra. We'll show that two specification and verification examples. One is the specification of system behavior in multiprocessor using EDF(Earliest-Deadline-First) which is a scheduling algorithm of a real-time system. The other is the specification of describing timing analysis and resources restriction in a super scalar processor using multiple ports registers.

  • Traditional medicine has been exchanged constantly from prehistoric times up to the present. As the global market trade on traditional medicine increases, people now emphasized the importance of traditional medicine. Previously, knowledge about herbal medicines are taught or learned indirectly. Most of it was learned through medical books. But in these contemporary times, herbal medicine's knowledge is shared through journals, congress and some other events in where traditional medicine's information are shared. In the international congress gathering; traditional medicine's experts from many countries shared some additional knowledge. First, "an attitude to medicine that emphasizes on Naturalism". Second, "respect for experienced in traditional medicine". Third, "respect for locality on traditional medicine". Fourth, "a protection for domestic traditional medicine industry" Fifth, "acceptance of traditional medicine from other countries according to domestic health care system".

  • In this paper, we propose a new architecture of the fast symbol timing synchronization system which has some shared hardware blocks in order to reduce the hardware complexity. The proposed system consists of received power detector, correlation power detector using shared complex moving adders, and 2-step peak detector. Our system has detected FFT starting point within three Symbols using first two reference symbols of the frame in wireless ATM system. The new architecture was designed and simulated using VHDL. Our proposed architecture also detects a correct symbol timing synchronization within three symbols under a multi-path fading channel.

  • Network on chip (NoC) is an emerging technology in the field of multi core interconnection architecture. The routers plays an essential components of Network on chip and responsible for packet delivery by selecting shortest path between source and destination. State-of-the-art NoC designs used routing table to find the shortest path and supports four ports for packet transfer, which consume high power consumption and degrades the system performance. In this paper, the multi port multi core router architecture is proposed to reduce the power consumption and increasing the throughput of the system. The shared buffer is employed between the multi ports of the router architecture. The performance of the proposed router is analyzed in terms of power and current consumption with conventional methods. The proposed system uses Modelsim software for simulation purposes and Xilinx Project Navigator for synthesis purposes. The proposed architecture consumes 31 mW on CPLD XC2C64A processor.
