메트로섹슈얼과 위버섹슈얼 이미지에 따른 남성패션 디자인 분석 (Design Analysis of Men's Fashion Based on the Metrosexual and Ubersexual Image)

  • This study aims to investigate the concepts and characteristics of Metrosexual and Ubersexual image which are the recent fashion phenomena representing the lifestyles of comtemporary men, and to analyze the design of contemporary men's fashion based on the represented characteristics of these sexual images. To accomplish these ends, various related publications, articles and papers, divers serial publications, and numerous internet articles are collectively reviewed for theoretical studies, and design analysis are conducted for content analysis(style, color, material, detail, etc) using photo data taken from the collections from 2001 through 2006. The results of this study shows that recent appearance of Metrosexual and Ubersexual fashion image represents the change of aesthetic standards in the contemporary society. With the influence of sociocultural phenomena which allow the pursuit of individual personality, the contemporary men, instead of expressing the socialized sexual identity, came to acquire the freedom of sexual identity which represents their personal desires. As an expression of hmnan will to pursue unrestricted sensibility and aesthetic sense, these sexual phenomena of Metrosexual and Ubersexual will be reinterpreted and reappear in various forms as the social atmosphere and aesthetic standards changes.

  • The main focus of this study is to provide the interrelation about the defining fashion model image by the fashion trend since 1960. This is expressed as follows, First, in the 60s'; 1) Image of innocent dolly style, Jean Shrimpton 2) Image of sexual style, Celia Hammond 3) Image of art style with charicteristic mask, Peggy Moffitt 4) Image of immature boyish style, Twiggy. Second, in the 70s'; 1) Image of natural and intelligent style, Larun Hutton 2) Image of exotic style with black beauty, Imman 3) Image of graceful and sexal style, Veruschka 4) Image of glamour and sexual style, Jerry Hall. Third, in the 80s'; 1) Image of unisexual style with power, Grace Jones 2) Image of graceful and noble style, In`es de la Fressange 3) Image of healthy and sexy style, Christie Brinkley 4) Image of sexy style with good sense, super model. And fourth, in the 90s' and now; 1) Image of glamour sexual style with self-consciousness, Claudia Shiffer 2) Image of graceful style with dignity, Christy Turlington 3) Image of asexual and androginous style, Stella Tennant), 4)Image of Twiggy style with immature and slender, Kate Moss 5) Image of new glamour style, Giseel Bundchen 6) Image of new style with unique beauty, Amber Vaiietta 7)Image of exotic style, Devon Aoki 8) Extraordinary, image of various style. The result of thir study, fashion models image have played a role in transmitting the style of fashion trend in their relevancy. Anyway it can be said that fashion models imply figurative meanings of the fashion trend.

A Study on Formative Characteristics of the Metro Sexual in Men's Fashion - Focused on Male Consumers in their 10's~40's -

  • This study was attempted to be a help in estimating changes of men's fashion in sociocultural environment by examining the diversified trends of domestic men's fashion through literature review, fashion collection analysis and questionnaire in various aspects. For data collection in this study, questionnaires were used, and these were corrected and supplemented after preliminary survey for male consumers from September 2009 to March 2010. Among total 460 copies, 431 copies were used in final analysis. First, among typical factors of changes in image of men's fashion, change of sexual role was shown as the most important factor. Contrary to men of the past, modern men are actively taking care of their appearance with changes of social values, which indicates that viewpoints on men have become flexible, such that the image of beauty does not apply just to women. Second, analysis on factors of image changes in men's fashion by age revealed that high mean values were obtained in factors of change of sexual role and trend with difference between groups, and factors of expression of individuality were highly rated without remarkable difference, and aesthetic factors were poorly rated without significance. Third, analysis on preference for formative characteristics of the Metro Sexual showed that feminine materials were negatively rated, and analysis on wearing experience revealed that several items become popular, indicating that wearing experiences are increasing in various areas. This study suggests a new viewpoint of cultural sexual consciousness of the youth that is continuously changing, and is meaningful in understanding emotional and rational lifestyle and cultural style of Metro Sexual, a recent phenomenon of men's fashion.

부인암 여성의 성기능 구조모형 (A Structural Equation Model on Sexual Function in Women with Gynecologic Cancer)

  • Purpose: This study was designed to construct and test a structural equation model on sexual function in women with gynecologic cancer. Methods: The model was constructed and tested under the hypotheses that women's physical changes in sexual function after gynecologic cancer treatment did not automatically lead to sexual dysfunctions. Women's psychosocial factors were considered to be mediating variables. Two hundred twelve women with cervical, ovarian, and endometrial cancer were recruited and asked to complete a survey on their physical factors, psychosocial factors and sexual function. Data was analyzed using SPSS WIN 12.0 and Amos WIN 5.0. Results: Predictors of sexual function in the final model were sexual attitude affected by physical distress and couple's age, sexual information affected by physical distress and couple's age, depression affected by physical distress, and marital intimacy affected by physical distress. Tumor stage and time since last treatment directly affected women's sexual function without any mediating psychosocial variables. However, body image did not affect women's sexual function. Conclusion: Nursing professionals should develop a tailored educational program integrating both physical and psychosocial aspects, and apply it to women and their spouses in order to promote sexual function in women with gynecologic cancer.

현대 패션에 나타난 글래머 이미지 (A Study on the Glamour Images Shown in Contemporary Fashion)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the glamour image in contemporary women's fashion since 1990. The method of study is to analyze the documentary and fashion magazines about the glamour images. Most of all, glamour has been composed by connection of hollywood film industry and fashion. Glamourous body image showed sensual, threatening and vague body. Formative characteristics in fashion showed a tight silhouette, neglige, lace look, dress showing neck and shoulder, fur coat, stiletto, diamond, gold, big and thick jewelry, satin, velvet, lace, mink and fox fur, etc. Internal meaning was a fantasy, ideal, wealth, fame, hyper-feminity, vagueness, vulgarity, sexuality, mystery, professional, fatalness, aggressiveness and evil. Since 1990, the glamour images in fashion were as follows; First, the glamour with hyper-feminity showed a classical femme-fatal image as fearful existence with a power more than allure. Second, the glamour with vulgarity showed an exaggerated, cheap and popular kitsch image, which have intense colors, lavish surfaces and excessive sexual signs. Third, the glamour with classical sensuality showed a hi-glamour image of hollywood actresses being active from 1930 to 1950, which was expressed glittery dress, stole, diamond, fur wrap, hill, luxury dress. Fourth, the glamour with sexual perversion showed an erotic, vague and sexual drag image, and fetish costume. Fetishistic elements were rubber, PVC, stiletto, thick and high boots and corset and particularly, they were a main method of expression of glamour image. Fifth, the glamour with future image showed a mechanical and mysterious image and it was a conscious style by metallic, plastic and sleeky fabric. In conclusion, glamour fashion image is an ideal beauty type of women and will exist as a meaningful aesthetic sign in women's fashion.

남성패션에 표현된 성적 이미지에 관한 연구;19세기 중반 이후를 중심으로 (A Study on Gender Images in Men's Fashion -Since the Middle of the 19th century-)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors which have formed gender images in men's fashion since the middle of the 19th century. For this purpose, the images of gender in fashion were analyzed and historical studies about gender images in men's fashion from the middle of the 19th century to the present days were done. Historically images of gender expressed in fashion were masculine image feminine image androgynous image and genderless image. Among those images masculine image and genderless image. Among those image masculine image and androgynous image have been the gender images in men's fashion since the middle of the 19th century. In psychoanalytic view point the factors which have formed the gender images are related with sexual pleasure. Libido for looking narcissism and exhibitionism have produced masculine image and androgynous image in men's fashion, In socioeconomic view point power structure between the sexes have built the gender images in fashion. Masculine image and androgynous image came in to being in men's fashion for the purpose of displaying power or expressing opposition to power structure between the sexes, In aesthetic view point the aesthetic sense of each age about sex have constructed the gender images. Modernism had influence on building masculine image and post-modernism have formed androgynous image in men's fashion.

초등학교 고학년 학생의 성교육 요구 내용 분석 (Analysis of Needs for Sexual Education in Primary School Children)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze and identify the higher-grade primary school children's needs for sexual education. We got the data with open question from 481 children from March to July 1999. We analyzed them according to the framework suggested by the Sex Information and Education Council of USA. The framework involves the six domains such as human development, relationship, personal skills, sexual behavior, sexual health, and society & culture. In the analysis of need for sexual education according to domain, need for human development was highest (79.2 %), after that followed society & culture (8.3 %), sexual health (5.8%), sexual behavior (3.6%), and relationships (3.1%). There was no need for personal skills. By topics, there were needs for puberty (38.0%), reproduction (32.5%), gender roles (6.0%), body image (4.9%), sexual abuse (2.4%) and reproductive health (2.4%). Girls and boys all mostly wanted to know human development 41.0 % and 38.2 % each. Society & culture (3.4 %), sexual behaviour (2.7%), sexual health (2.6%), relationship (2.4%) were domains selected by boys. Girls wanted to know society & culture (4.9%) and 'sexual health (3.2%). Comparing by grade, fourth, fifth and sixth grade children are commonly interested in development, society & culture. Fourth grade children scarcely show attention on the relationship, sexual behaviour and sexual health; meanwhile sixth grade children would like to know sexual behaviour and sexual health. When their grade became higher, they would like to know more precise, concrete and deep information. We suggest that the textbook/guidebook for sexual health for the higher-grade primary school children should be developed considering the sex and grade.

패션 일러스트레이션에 나타난 팜므 파탈(Femme Fatale) 이미지 (The Femme Fatale Image in Fashion Illustration)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze and theorize the characteristics of femme fatale in fashion illustration since 1980. The method of this study was to analyze the documentaries for theoretical studies about femme fatale and the visual characteristics in fashion illustration works since 1980. The results of this study were as follows: Femme fatale expressed in the general realm of art was icon of fatal and seductive eroticism in late 19th century. She is composed of diverse images like mythology, exoticism, fear and sensuality. The characteristics of her image in fashion illustration were expressed into de-body image by union of animal and female body, or machine and female body, duplicity of death and sexuality, sexual decadence or abnormality and powerful masculine taste. First, de-body image by union of animal and female body, or machine and female body was expressed in transformed mythical image or bizarre and demonic image, grotesque image linked by picture of female body and painting of animal image, and cyborg image linked by machine and realistic female body by digital media. Second, duplicity of death and sexuality was expressed in juxtaposition by sexual pose, body and something metaphorical and symbolic depiction and de-constructive depiction of death. Third, sexual decadence or abnormality was expressed in fetishistic style, obscene depiction of cheap and hedonistic sexuality, masochistic depiction like antisocial and diseased sex appeal. Forth, powerful masculine taste was expressed in man's face, body, pose, masculine fashion, man's role related to crime and threatening weapon, etc. As mentioned above, femme fatale in fashion illustration was expressed in diverse images by fashion illustrator's point of view. Although she was originated by men's fantastic vision, she brings a catharsis to human being. And she is also recognized as new paradigm and positive cultural sign in our times.

  • In clothing, a tendency of Bisexuality is in case of wearing clothing of the opposite sex, the mixing of modeling principle and characteristic of man and woman, the exclusion characteristic of sexuality that present sexlessness-the third sex. They-Designer Gabrielle Chanel, YSL, Giorgio Armani-give characteristic of man's fashion to women's fashion. However, the consciousness in design is different. Chanel apply principle of man's suit to woman's wear to express authority and power about gender image, hereby she express women liberation and equality of man and woman based on social ideology through fashion especially, she express women's sexual independency and self assurance to her clothing. YSL express liberal and bold women that pursuit reasonal and liberal life in 1970. As he apply tailoed suit's rigidity to women's wear, he made 'pants look' universal in women's wear through“Dress for success”in modern life. Armani apply successful modern image to women's wear, so he express women's image of confident intellegent as well as feminine image. He focus women's new image as man living liberal and indivisual life excluding social category rather than will of equality of man and women. Gernreich break sexual prejudice and release women freely, furthermore, as he express concern of sexuality pursuit liberty of mankind surpassing sex distinction with women liberty. Gianni Versace pursuit mix and extinguishment of sexual image many-sided, and break fixed idea of sex, and reprovide feminine and masculine image. So his design tend homosexuality because he regard women's glamor and ostensible sexuality as standard of beauty, he apply this to man's wear as well as women's wear. With this, he expresses sensitive and liberal man's that break characteristic of Gender that symbolize power and authority in man's wear through 'Without ties'.

갱년기 여성의 성생활 만족에 영향을 미치는 요인 (An Analytic Study on Influencing Factors for Sexual Satisfaction in Climacteric Women)

  • Purpose: This study was undertaken in order to examine the factors related to sexual satisfaction in climacteric women. Method: This was a descripitive correlation study. The subjects were 544 women in climacteric stage. Data were analyzed a using of descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients and multiple regression with a SPSS WIN11.0. Results: The predictors of sexual satisfaction were age, education, marital status, family income, number of delivery, hormone therapy, body image, state anxiety, trait anxiety, spouse support. These factors explained 57.6% of the total variance. Conclusion: These finding suggest the need to develope nursing strategy to improve the sexual satisfaction in climacteric women. To improve the climacteric women's sexual satisfaction, the above major influencing factors should be considered.
