  • This paper describes a new approach to control the two-phase servomotor driven with microprocessor based inverter. Conventional 6-step driving system has some shortcomings such as vibration and loss caused by the harmonic voltage. An attempt has been made to eliminate the harmonic content of output waveform by PWM technique and to simplify the control system by phase control method. In realizing the phase control by PWM technique proposed by this paper, control circuit and algorithm has been suggested. The proposed method has been applied to the speed control system with PI controller to confirm the adaptation of the servo system and experimental results has been compared with the computer simulation.

  • This paper present the idea that the inner loop regulator inside the servo can be enhanced its performance by replace the conventional control with a fuzzy proportional derivative control. In this paper, we replace an inner loop regulator of a Futaba servomotor with a fuzzy PD control paradigm. We then test the proposed system and compare the result with the original scheme. The fuzzy control used here is based on the supervisory scheme of the conventional PD yet embedded a fuzzy decision for the final control action. The proposed control scheme for the servomotor has shown robustness and effective performance in handle input disturbance along with its tracking ability.   • The performance and reliability of foreign servomotors and domestic servomotors for manufacturing robots were compared and verified. The mass productivity was confirmed by satisfying the requirements of the demanding companies. The servomotor was designed in consideration of mass productivity while satisfying the requirements of the demanding company. It was mounted on a real robot to check its performance and reliability. To secure mass-production performance, we designed and manufactured easy-to-manufacture parts and jigs to manufacture servomotors and achieved the goal of the mass-production evaluation of servomotors through individual performance evaluation, robot mounting test evaluation, and supplementation.

  • This study is concerned with the optimizing method of control parameters for a hydraulic speed control system by using genetic algorithms which are general purpose search algorithms based on natural evolution and genetics. It is shown that the genetic altorithms satisfactorily oiptimized control gains of the PI speed control system of an electrohydraulic servomotor and that optimization of control para- meters can be achived without much experience and knowledge for tuning. It is also shown that optimal gains may be determined from fitness distribution curves plotted in given gain spaces.

  • A continuous variable structure system control as a DC servomotor trackhig controller is proposed for the improvement of the chattering problems. The stability property of the proposed algorithms is analyzed. The prescribed trackfiig error is gauranteed in the existence of load variations based on the stability analysis.

  • PID controller is popular but have defect inversing following reference input and noise elimination. Therefor, this paper focus on reducing rise time and robustness against noise. The result that is simulated with feedforward method and sliding mode show that rise time decrease and robustness increase.

  • 본 논문은 근전도 신호를 검출하고 로봇팔의 수직제어시스템을 구현하기 위한 연구이다. EMG 신호는 사람의 팔 근육에 흐르는 미세한 생체신호가 표면전극센서에 의해서 사용하여 검출되고 고성능 증폭, 필터링, ADC과 로봇팔의 서보 모터 구동 시스템으로 구현된다. 실험은 팔근육 움직임에 따른 EMG신호와 로봇팔의 다단계 수직제어 각도를 모니터링 한다. 시스템의 실험결과 수직제어각도는 2도 정도이며 평균오차는 5%이다.

  • 본 연구에서는 고정도의 위치제어계를 실현하기 위하여 가변구조제어이론을 전기-유압서보계에 적용하였다.실험은 유압구동부의 공급압력을 변화시켜 유압계의 매개변수를 변화시켜줄 때와 관성하중을 가감하여 부하를 변화시켜 가며 행하였다. 가변구조계에서는 계의 매개변수변동과 부하변동에도 영향을 받지 않음을 종래의 고정구조계와 구조계와 비교, 검토하였다.

Active neuro-adaptive vibration suppression of a smart beam

  • In this research, an active vibration suppression of a smart beam having piezoelectric sensor and actuators is investigated by designing separate controllers comprising a linear quadratic regulator and a neural network. Firstly, design of a smart beam which consists of a cantilever aluminum beam with surface bonded piezoelectric patches and a designed mechanism having a micro servomotor with a mass attached arm for obtaining variations in the frequency response function are presented. Secondly, the frequency response functions of the smart beam are investigated experimentally by using different piezoelectric patch combinations and the analytical models of the smart beam around its first resonance frequency region for various servomotor arm angle configurations are obtained. Then, a linear quadratic regulator controller is designed and used to simulate the suppression of free and forced vibrations which are performed both in time and frequency domain. In parallel to simulations, experiments are conducted to observe the closed loop behavior of the smart beam and the results are compared as well. Finally, active vibration suppression of the smart beam is investigated by using a linear controller with a neural network based adaptive element which is designed for the purpose of overcoming the undesired consequences due to variations in the real system.

소형 외접기어펌프를 사용하는 EHA의 시스템 효율 분석 (Investigation of System Efficiency of an Electro-hydrostatic Actuator with an External Gear Pump)

  • In this study, the maximum system efficiency of the electro-hydrostatic actuators was experimentally investigated, where small size external gear pumps with volumetric displacement under 1.3 cc/rev were combined with a 400W servomotor as the prime mover. Since the efficiency data of the servomotor, gear pumps and hydraulic cylinder were not provided by the suppliers, experimental apparatuses for their efficiency measurement were extra built up. When a gear pump with a volumetric displacement of 1.27cc/rev was used on an electro-hydrostatic actuator system, the maximum system efficiency was not higher than 70%. This was because the most effective operation ranges of the motor and pump did not coincide each other. In order to match their operation ranges as one of the most crucial design factors, a speed reduction mechanism can be used, such as a timing belt. It was shown in the study that the maximum system efficiency could be increased from 70% to 76% in that way.
