The purpose of this study is to analyze various energy platforms using data in the US and to suggest directions and implications. Some of the leading energy platforms are selected and analyzed based on the opening platform model. We focus on the case analysis of the US utility companies. In case of the horizontal open platform, Green Button sponsor's 'Connect My Data (CMD)' driven by the government invites the utility companies to jointly develop the sponsor's data solution. In case of the vertical open platform, the certification program 'Share My Data (SMD)' allows backward compatibility, because the technical improvement is minimal. The utility companies benchmark Amazon's three-sided market mediation and prefer platform and category exclusivity. For the former, they have data analytics companies like Enervee, Opower and for the latter, they have electronics manufactures and energy service providers (ESPs) like Distributed Energy Resources (DERs). Based on this US case study, we suggest the energy platforms to open their platform for renewable energy supply, energy conservation, high-efficiency products, and residential DER dissemination. To successfully implement the government's energy transition policy, the US platforms should be benchmarked as a business model. Especially, it is needed for them to coordinate a platform ecosystem. To ensure trust in the products and services offered on the marketplace platform, platform's certification program is helpful.

The telecommunications market is expanding rapidly and becoming more substitutive. In this environment, demand forecasting is very difficult, yet important for both practitioners and researchers. in this paper, we adopt the modeling approach proposed dy Jun and Park ［6］. The basic premise is that demand patterns result from choice behavior, where customers choose a product to maximize their utility. We apply a choice-based substitutive diffusion model to the Korean mobile telecommunication service market where digital service has completely replaced analog service. In comparison with Bass-type multigeneration models. our model provides superior fitting and forecasting performance. The choice-based model is useful in that it enables the description of such complicated environments and provides the flexibility to include marketing mix variables such as price and advertising in the regression analysis.

The popularization of streaming networks and mobile devices brings a new kind of network called mobile peer-assisted streaming network. In this network, service provider not only offers downloading services, but also pre-pushes resources to users for caching. Users can download their demanded resources while working as servers for uploading the cached data. Also the mobile characteristic makes high package losing probability in this network. So we study how the service provider pre-pushes or the user downloads resources efficiently and effectively while considering the package losing in this paper. We build utility models for service provider and user, and solve the models using Bellman's theory to achieve Nash Equilibrium which shows the service provider's optimal pre-pushing speed and user's optimal downloading speed. The numerical simulation demonstrates the efficiency and effectiveness of our proposed pre-pushing and downloading scheme by comparing to the traditional scheme.

사회기반시설물의 핵심 시설물 중 하나인 교량은 이용자들이 쉽게 접하고 이용하는 시설물로 일정 수준이상의 성능유지는 필수적으로 요구된다. 교량건설 역사가 상당히 오래된 호주, 뉴질랜드, 미국, 유럽 등의 최근 관련 연구보고서 등의 사례를 비추어 보았을 때, 우리나라 또한 교량의 기대수명에 도달하는 10-20년 내 교량의 유지관리 및 개축 수요가 급격하게 증가될 것으로 예상되므로 비교적 건전한 상태를 유지하고 있는 현 시점에서 한정적인 예산을 효율적으로 분배하기 위해 교량 성능을 적정 수준 이상으로 유지하며 LCC 측면에서의 비용은 최소한으로 투입하는 합리적이고 공학적인 의사결정방법론이 필요하다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 호주, 뉴질랜드 및 미국 등에서는 오래전부터 자산관리체계를 마련하기 위하여 많은 노력이 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 모든 교량을 관리할 수 있는 범용적인 자산관리체계와 교량이 제공하는 서비스수준(Level of Service)과 이를 측정하기 위한 성능측정기준을 개발하기 위한 사전 기초연구로써 연구의 범위를 도심지의 교량으로 한정하여 그 자산관리체계와 서비스수준을 개발하고자 한다. 전문가와 이해관계자로 구성된 워크숍을 실시하여 국내 실정에 맞는 도심지 교량자산관리체계와 그 서비스수준(LOS) 및 성능 척도(PM)를 개발하고 다속성 효용이론(Multi-Attribute Utility Theory)와 AHP기법을 이용하여 성능 지표별 가치의 값과 성능 척도의 가중치 분석을 실시하였다. 도출 된 성능 척도의 가중치와 성능 지표의 가치(Value) 등의 적용 확인을 위해 ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$시의 교량 6개를 선별하여 LOS분석을 적용하고 그 결과를 고찰하였다.

Recent developments in power electronics technology have spurred interest in the use of renewable energy sources as distributed generation (DG) generators. The key component in DG generators is a grid-connected inverter that serves as an effective interface between the renewable energy source and the utility grid. The multifunctional inverter (MFI) is special type of grid-connected inverter that has elicited much attention in recent years. MFIs not only generate power for DGs but also provide increased functionality through improved power quality and voltage and reactive power support; thus, the capability of the auxiliary service for the utility grid is improved. This paper presents a comprehensive review of the various MFI system configurations for single-phase (two-wire) and three-phase (three- or four-wire) systems and control strategies for the compensation of different power quality problems. The advances in practical applications and recent research on MFIs are presented through a review of nearly 200 papers.

Most utiltity systems are subject to frequent changes, often due to increased loads and demand to up-grade quality of service provided. Urban renewal, expressway construction and suburban growth have also caused significant changes in urban utility distribution systems. Recently, it is required that a guideline for planning of a complete system, the reasonable design and construction methods for the efficient installation common utility tunnels must be estabilished. It prompts drastic measures to guard cities and their inhabitants against the horror of massive fires in the future. Preparedness holds the key to safety.

The purpose of this study was to measure the importance of attributes: area, food quality, food type, price, service quality, which influence tourist preference of foodservice. It also identifies foodservice attributes' level combinations which confer the highest utility to tourists. Conjoint model was used for this study. The findings from this study were as follows. First, it was found that all tourists regarded food type and price as very important factors. Second, it was found that the foodservices with different attribute levels were preferred across cluster. Third, it was found that the most preferred foodservice was significantly different by cluster. Finally, the implications of the study and proposal of future study were outlined.

Wireless mobile multimedia communications have been greatly increased in the number of users, diversity of applications and interface technologies. Wireless mobile networks are being evolved and integrated into IP based core network, so it is necessary to provide sufficient QoS (Quality of Service) mechanism to provide enhanced user's satisfaction. In this paper, we propose a new adaptive QoS mechanism based on utility function borrowed from the field of microeconomics, call setup and handover signaling mechanism integrating QoS and mobility management. Through a simulation, we show that adaptive resource allocation based on user preferences can be realized in the wireless mobile network with some considerations.

The importance of tourism was recognized through the olympiad of 1988. Especially visual impacts like uniform make it more important to develop proper service system. Thus, the object of this study is to provide a renewal uniform policy of Korean restaurant. Here, the theoretical knowledge is applied into actual conditions, and found many problems as a result. 1. There are no recognition of the importance of uniforms. 2. No effort has been made in creating image suitable for traditional restaurants. 3. There has been no uniqueness and utility. 4. The uniform colors have not been coordinated working environments. 5. There have been some problems concerning uniform managements. These problems led to an idea of making new uniforms, and actual products has been producted as a part of the study. The products have focused an functional utility and tradition of Korean costumes. I hope my endeavor will be helpful for traditional Korean restaurants and developing of uniform design.
