Recently, there has been an increase in research on wireless sensor networks (WSNs) because they are easy to deploy in applications such as internet-of-things (IoT) and body area networks. However, WSNs have constraints in terms of power, quality-of-service (QoS), computation, and others. To overcome the power constraint issues, wireless energy harvesting has been introduced into WSNs, the application of which has been the focus of many studies. Additionally, to improve system performance in terms of achievable rate, cooperative networks are also being explored in WSNs. We present a review on current research in the area of energy harvesting in WSNs, specifically on the application of simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) in a cooperative sensor network. In addition, we discuss possible future extensions of SWIPT and cooperative networks in WSNs.

As the Korean economy continues to grow, the desire to own art increases. Despite a number of recent controversies surrounding the sale of counterfeit art pieces, the scale of the problem remains small. Nevertheless, there is a lack of relevant analysis and research. Given the increased interest in Korean arts and crafts and the growing awareness of counterfeit art, it is useful to study legal problems related to counterfeit art. The purpose of this review is to examine the concept and range of counterfeit artwork and explore corresponding legal problems and solutions.

Objectives: With increasing concerns for the rapidly growing minority population in South Korea, this literature review addressed a range of mental health risks among multiethnic youths (MY) in South Korea by 1) comparing mental health outcomes with those of native-born youths and 2) identifying multiple layers of relevant environmental factors, from family and school relationships to culture. Methods: We reviewed 54 studies that fulfilled specific inclusion criteria. Results: Multiple common risk/protective factors, including family separation, family relationship quality, parental socioeconomic and mental health status, social relationships at school, and cultural acceptance, were noted. Conclusion: In general, empirical evidence indicates that minority youths have relatively heightened risks for emotional and behavioral problems. Future studies must elucidate the complex interplay between multiple risk and protective factors and the long-term adaptation and mental health service utilization of MY.

전문대학의 프로그래밍 수업에서 복습을 강화하고 학습효과를 높이기 위해 수업의 이론 및 실습 동영상을 인터넷상에 제공하고 학습자 설문을 통해 그 효과를 분석하였다. 설문을 통해 학습자들은 동영상 제공에 대해 긍정적인 대답을 하였으며 복습으로 활용하는 것을 넘어서 예습과 거꾸로 학습에도 적용할 수 있는 가능성을 보여주었다.

본 논문에서는 교수자에게 큰 부담을 주지 않으면서 학습 효과를 높이기 위한 방법으로 문제풀이 기반의 자발적 복습을 지원하는 교수학습 모형을 제안하고 이를 수업 운영에 적용하였다. 학습자들에게 배포한 수업내용을 복습할 수 있는 문제들로 구성한 유인물은 단순히 해당 요일의 수업을 되풀이하여 익히는 소극적 의미에서의 복습이 아니라 이전 수업 내용들 간의 연관성을 이해할 수 있도록 문제를 구성하고 학습자들의 복습시 발생하는 어려움을 해결할 수 있도록 교수 전략을 수립한다.

This study aims to analyze users' assessment of electronic libraries in the mobile app market and promote service improvement based on this. To this end, the basic background and purpose of the research, research method, and research scope were first set, and the relevant literature and empirical prior studies were analyzed. Next, users' evaluations of electronic libraries were collected and analyzed from Google Play Store. Based on the results analyzed, measures to improve the quality of electronic libraries were discussed. Based on the results of the study, the following improvement measures are proposed. Need for systemic improvement and stabilization. Provision of applications suitable for multi-device environments. Resumption of services after systematic inspection after updating. Simplification of sign up, log in, and authentication procedures. User support through real-time chat. Introduction of a detailed assessment of reviews. Provision of guidance and user manual for electronic libraries. Improvements to expand user convenience, and Securing differentiation from other similar services.

Agent-based modeling (ABM), as a relatively new simulation technique, has recently gained in popularity in the civil engineering domain due to its uniquely advantageous features. Among many civil engineering applications, ABM has been applied to facility operation and management, such as energy consumption management, as well as the enhancement of maintenance and repair processes. The former studies used ABM to manage energy consumption through simulating human energy-related behaviors and their interactions with facilities, as well as electrical, heating, and cooling systems and appliances, while the latter used ABM to enhance maintenance process through facilitating coordination, negotiation, and decision making between facility managers, service providers, and repair workers. The present study aims to provide a short qualitative review on the most recent applications of ABM in the above-mentioned areas. Based on the review and follow-up analysis, the study identifies the advantages, disadvantages, and limitations of ABM applications to facility operation and management, and offers several potential future research topics in the hope of filling the existing literature gaps.

With the advancement of Internet technology, online sales and purchases of products have become active. Along with this, the importance of user reviews is also being highlighted. Although user reviews are actively utilized for product sales and purchases, it is difficult to quickly and easily obtain useful information due to the abundance of user reviews. Therefore, prioritizing user reviews is a necessary service for customers that requires careful consideration. Metadata, which contains important information, can be effectively used to prioritize user reviews. However, it is crucial to select and use metadata appropriately according to the purpose. Lean Startup proposes a strategy of repeatedly correcting the problems of ideas or making early transitions to continue trying different approaches. In this paper, we propose a three-step method applying the Lean Startup process to analyze ways to prioritize user reviews using metadata: Build Priority, Measure Priority, Learn Priority.

Following the development of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccines and the launching of vaccination, the World Health Organization has reported that the African Continent is lagging in the race to vaccinate its population against the deadly virus. The Continent has received a limited number of vaccines, implying that vaccine production needs to be scaled up in Africa. In this review, we summarize the current situation concerning COVID-19 vaccine development in Africa, progress made, challenges faced in vaccine development over the years and potential strategies that will harness vaccine production success.

Since the third generation (3G) mobile communication service has been launched by most mobile communication operators in Korea, the portion of data service in mobile communication service becomes one of the most important factors in mobile communication service market. In past mobile communication market, most mobile communication operators made their profit mostly from voice communication service. However, the portion of profit from data service has gradually increased based on both video phone call and mobile Internet service. In this situation, LG telecom launched the full browsing mobile Internet service. This service provides a new type of mobile Internet service platform which enables to access the World Wide Web using mobile browsers, so we generally access the Web using web browsers in the desktop computer. Under the open network structure of mobile Internet like situation, it is very important to analyze the factors which can affect the competition between mobile communication service companies. So, in this paper, we first present the current state of full browsing service, followed by the expectation of its growth potentials and barriers. Then, we analyze the advantages and disadvantage of LG telecom as a first-mover and SK telecom/KTF as followers. Finally, based on this analysis, we predict the future competition among these companies and the market.
